Dan arrived on time & was very friendly and professional. We went over what needed to be done & he got right to work. He always asked me exactly what I wanted to ensure he would be doing it right the first time...such as placement of the curtain rods or which way I preferred the closet doors to open. Everything on my list went quickly & he made it all look so easy which is usually the case with someone who knows what they are doing. There was an issue with one of the new closet doors. In order for them to fit, he had to cut down the shelves inside. He did a great job even if I have to repaint them now. I appreciated that after each task, Dan cleaned up immediately & didn't even make much of a mess while doing each project like I have seen with other contractors. Also, he was very friendly & we chatted a bit during the day but it never stopped him from getting the work done. I appreciated this because one handyman I previously used would take eight hours to do a four hour job because he was a constant chatter! Dan had the perfect mix of friendliness & professionalism. It was definitely a bonus that he was great with my dog. I would definitely hire him again & in fact, I already have.

I feel so lucky to have found Dan. I don't live in the area but my elderly Mother does and she needs a lot of work on her house. I talked to Dan through emails and phone calls. He showed up when he said he would and did a great job. I have complete faith in him and would recommend him to anyone.

Dan has a very keen eye for perfection and detail in our kitchen re-model. His workmanship was a pleasure to watch, like a skilled craftsman and designer. We were able to openly discuss and review any changes that required our attention. At times Dan was able to suggest those changes and it was refreshing to make them to better improve the look and function. You can tell he has a great deal of experience in this type of work. On time, tidy and very affordable. I would not hesitate to call him again for other re-modeling jobs. AAA+ as far as we are concerned. Thanks, Dan.

We called to arrange an evaluation and an estimate. Dan said that he would come out "sometime" the following day. As a result, we wasted an entire Saturday at home waiting for him with no response; we finally called in the evening to see if he was, in fact, stopping by. He declined, then arranged an appointment for the following Monday. He finally stopped by unexpectedly on Tuesday at 5:15p, walked around with his clipboard jotting notes, and left within five minutes with a promise to email me an estimate that evening. Nearly two weeks and a never-returned phone call and message later, and still no estimate. I called again, and this time he answered his phone, only to say that he'd send the estimate out this evening (I repeated the SIMPLE email address for him just in case). A couple of hours later he called to say that he was sending the estimate and, ohbytheway, I don't repair some of the items on the repair list. Even after that phone call, I haven't received an estimate! I understand that the company is experiencing some growing pains, but it appears unprofessional. I am not impressed.

Saved me several hundred dollar on previous quote. Was able to accomplish work in minimum amount of time and was very neat and clean. Quote from first plumbing firm was two convoluted it was like they had to rework the entire system I believe they were just making work. Joined Angies list to get scoop on contractors and am pleased I did. Well worth the cost. I would recommend that you call Johnson Home improvements before shelling out a fortune for work you might not need.

He was very reliable, and promptly returned my phone call. He was punctual and worked very diligently. I can't think of anything else I need in a repairman.

Dan was friendly and professional and worked hard to complete the job that day.

I called Dan to assist me in completing a carport. He completed the work per our agreement in a timely manner. He arrived on time. His appearance was neat and professional. He did quality work and met my expectations. He cleaned up the entire work area and left no scraps of wood or nails lying around. I would not hesitate to use his services again or refer him to anyone.

I had to beg this company for a quote and when they finally responded it seemed to be high. I was very disappointed considering their past reviews.

Took half day off from work and set an appointment and he did not show up. He did not even call to let me know that he's unable to make it.

We were very pleased with Dan's work in terms of quality and performance. We'd had at least a couple of repair/paint people say they could not replace the door handle/deadbolt set, and/or that it would be a major project, but Dan wasn't concerned. He went through the list, clarifying each task, and worked consistently without lots of phone calls or chatting. One task was a bit of a judgment call, and he went the conservative way so he wouldn't have to drill into our kitchen tile - he ran this by us to make sure we were in agreement. It did take a while between the 2 visits, and at the halfway mark of the 1st visit, he said he'd be back another day. I was surprised; if he had told me that ahead of time, I didn't hear it. But our needs were not urgent, and his work was great, and fees reasonable, so we will definitely have him back. Also, he had to work around our 2 busy work schedules.

Contractor estimated two days labor to painted sizable kitchen and do some ceiling repair in same kitchen. Contractor completed project in one day and did it very professionally Very focused on work and work performed very professionally. Highly reccomend this contractor for any work being considered.

The work was very good. The only thing that I didn?t like is that he came to give me a quote and estimated that it would take two days. Because it took a lot longer and he charges by the hour, I was charged a lot more. He did not even a quarter of what I needed for double the price. I probably won?t use him again because I can?t trust his estimates. The work he did wasn?t perfect. He is a nice guy but his business ethic isn?t what I would call 100%. It was just so complicated with him and every day seemed like such a hassle. He did not clean up after himself; I had to do that. He hung up fans but I had to clean up all the dust and debris and throw away the boxes.

Dan responded quickly. He visited to give me an estimate and a to help create a list for Lowe's. Dan was friendly to me and my dogs (even though my one dog kept nosing in his bag of tools). He completed the work efficiently. I am going to call Dan right now to work on a list of things I have amassed over the last few months.

He came by on a Saturday, had all the right supplies, and completed the work in less than an hour.

Dan Johnson called promptly, made a timely appointment. He was neat, professional, friendly and he worked quickly and efficiently. I will definitely call him again when I have accumulated a list of general handyman jobs. (As a personal note for Mr. Johnson, he has a large, clean and attractive white truck with his business' name on it--my neighbors assumed that I was having major remodeling done--I hope this good handyman doesn't forego business because people assume he does a different type of work.)

Johnson Home Improvement showed up on time, did a great job and was very clean. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone. They have also done a number of drywall jobs for me and did a great job.

It went excellent. He's the best we've worked with.

Dan always does very good work. We had him do several small jobs last fall, too. He's always on time and every reliable. We'll continue to use him for our handywork and small repairs.

Dan was very responsive and great to work with. The fireplace surround turned out better than I had anticipated. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely utilize his services in the future.

In the beginning he was willing to do what I asked of him. I don't want to give him a negative or positive review, I think he did a decent job but he didn't do some of the things I asked him to do. When I asked him to do it he got an attitude about it. Some of the things he was supposed to do he didn't finish. He owes me work and that's the only reason I would ask him to come back and finish it, but at this point I don't want the headache.

They promptly submitted a quote, and when awarded the work, took care of it right away, and the quality was very good.

Dan called me within 30 minutes of my request, and offered to come the next day (he knew we had a tight schedule). Over the phone, he gave a soft estimate of 200 dollars, and ultimately charged that exact amount. He emailed me the invoices afterwords, worked quickly, and was incredibly nice and respectful. He also wrote up a quote for us on our garage, in case we choose to pursue additional improvements in the future (which I requested- he didn't push it). He measured the wood needed, went to Lowes/Home Depot, came back, and installed it. I also asked him to prime the inside edges (i wanted to paint the surface), and he did so before installing. Super easy to work with, and cleaned up on his way out. Highly recommend to others.
