Serviced and cleaned water heater. Provided me with a quote for tankless water heater. The technician was polite and explained everything in detail. Took the time to review “in detail and also took the time to review what he was doing and the cost of that. Excellent service, quick service and I definitely would use them again.

They were not able to do the job right the 1st time, but they come back and fixed it.

We got multiple estimates for a tankless water heater (to replace a regular tank-based water heater) and to reroute a gas line. Summers sent Brandon, the General Manager, to do their estimate. Brandon was very thorough in his visit and recommended we also replace a water line to improve water volume/pressure. Summers wasn't the lowest bid, but we were impressed by Brandon's attention to detail so we selected them. Brandon and his team did an outstanding job - the quality of the work was impressive! We plan to have a long-term relationship with Summers. Highly Recommend!

Though advertised they were open till 11 pm on the day I contacted, they didn't come till Monday. Luckily the hose was on the spigot and it was under pressure and not running water continuously.

I had a furnace inspection done, and Wayne arrived on time, on a very snowy day. He explained to me what he would be doing and gave me some excellent advice on how to keep my furnace in good shape for years to come. He wore coverings on his shoes and cleaned up everything before he left. I have also used Summers for plumbing work, as well as work done on my air conditioner. Excellent company. Everyone I have dealt with there is very professional and courteous. Will definitely use them in the future.

I am pleased to report that Summers Plumbing, Heating & Cooling accomplished an outstanding inspection and tune-up on my natural gas furnace on 16 November 2016. Wayne Click, the HVAC rep for Summers, was one of the most professional and knowledgeable HVAC techs I've seen. Over my past 19 years living in the Dayton area, I've dealt with numerous HVAC companies but I've never been more pleased with a furnace service than I was with Wayne's at Summers. Wayne demonstrated each step during the inspection; explained why it was important; and deciphered the measurements from various equipment readouts so that I could easily understand them. Summers Plumbing, Heating & Cooling also had the best price in my area for the fall furnace inspection/tune-up. I was initially a little skeptical since cheapest price sometimes runs counter to quality, but Summers delivered on both quality and price ! Thanks, Wayne, for great service. I'm confident my furnace is ready for winter after seeing the level of professionalism displayed by you on behalf of Summers. Definitely plan to be a repeat customer!

They give you the wrong information. If it can be fixed they will tell you to buy a new one.

They did superb work from showing up when they promised to explaining their work to finishing the job to everything working correctly afterward. I have used this company three times and I am glad I found them on Angie's List. Everyone of their technicians are courteous and go out of their way to talk you through your options and make you feel that you are making the best choices with their help. And we have been super-pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

My 9 year old water softener died and my utility room was a mess due to the last water heater installation done by Sears subcontractors. Though the water softener was the biggest problem, I wanted to do something about the water heater as well.; The salesman named Rick could not have been more professional. What impressed me most as how well he knew the answers to every question we asked, not because he was trying to sell "His line" but because of the practical experience he has had dealing with similar problems and using similar solutions. He turned us onto the best, most dependable and long-lasting solution for the money invested. He did all his work on the day promised, and the time predicted. I was impressed how he checked and double checked everything. I only waited until now to write this review because I wanted to experience all the new features. We are happy to report that the water has never been softer, especially in the showers. And it is a treat to have bottle quality water coming out of every faucet, it makes everything taste better, and we are drinking more water because it tastes so much better. I doubt I would have found this plumber without Angie's List. Thank you, Summers, and thank you, Rick!

Excellent. Joe was very informative and professional. I appreciated his knowledge and attention to detail. He was willing to explain each step he was performing so the average homeowner understands.

The young man was professional, explained what he was going to do, let me know when he was finished and asked if there were any other things I wanted done. He provided a quote for something else I needed fixed as well. I would use them again.

It went great, I couldn't be happier with Brandon Deaton, and if you request him by name and happen to get him, I don't think you'll be disappointed (he does plumbing and HVAC, at least).

Brad was super! I felt he understood the position I'm in, and when I asked him not to overcharge me because of my being on my own (older widow, no husband to verify the info), he assured me he would not do that. I could tell by his eyes and his sincere demeanor that he was being honest.

They came out to give me an estimate and my faucet was not working so they told me that it was the wrong part. It ended up costing me a lot of money because it was the wrong diagnosis. It seemed they were not quite on target on a few things and they didn’t seem too concerned when I called back. I cancelled the contract.

He was very thorough and very efficient. He went over and above by helping fix my door to the furnace.

First, we rent so that is why I can't give a rating on the price because I do not know what the cost was. Obviously, it wasn't really free. Second, my review is based on some inside knowledge since I worked in heating and air as a Service Manager and Sales from 2005 to 2012. Our AC unit wasn't keeping up and was running non-stop. We called our landlord on a Wednesday, and Summers came over late Thursday afternoon. After looking into it, they determined that the best course of action would be to replace the a/c. Although, I didn't really dig into the system, I knew this would be the best but it was out of my control. The rep contacted our landlord and convinced him to replace both the a/c and furnace since the furnace was original to the house (1960's). The install group came out mid-morning Friday. They got every thing but the drain line (they rigged the existing drain) and flue pipe finished up by late afternoon so we had a/c for the weekend. They came back out on Monday and replaced the drain line and finished up the flue pipe. Of course, I had to check out the job having seen both really good work and really bad work during my HVAC career. Overall they did a very good job. It is definitely one of the better installs that I've seen. My only complaint was that they used a 6" flue because that is what came out of the chimney, so they transitioned from 4" to 6" right by the furnace and ran it approximately 10 feet to the chimney. It works but would look better had they run the 4" pipe all the way to the chimney and then increased it there. I also thought they might use a condensate pump rather than run the drain line around the edge of the basement to the floor drain which is probably 30-40 feet but it works and isn't in the way at all. Obviously, I have some preference of HVAC contractors having worked for a few and seen the work of more. While Summers wouldn't be my 1st choice, I have nothing negative to say about them. They did a good job.

It went very efficiently. Was only out of A/C on a typical summer Dayton June day for around 5 hrs with two men working, inside and out. They arrived on time in the morning, as promised. Courteous and professional, both. Cory, the inside man, thoughtfully put on his "footies" over his work shoes but I told him to not worry about them since he was only working between the triage area in my garage and the utility room. All important rugs were pulled back prior and I didn't want him to be impeded by the struggle of "this" routine. I kept them supplied with water, good lighting, and a fan when the A/C was tempo off. They also installed a nifty wireless thermostat which I can control off-site. I also recommend the UV light which was installed inside and near the evaporator coils and prevents mold from forming on the coils which was a problem on my previous unit this replaced. The cleansing UV light stays on 24/7 and is replaced once per year. Summers also threw in a thorough vent cleaning on top of this so that we could start completely "clean" which should hold allergy season in check for us on top of the 5X25"filter! Am also happy with the 2-stage fan motor which prevents dead zones from happening whenever the compressor cycles on-and-off as in my former unit(single-stage). The Lenox unit, inside and out, is whisper quiet yet puts out good air flow. I think these are quality units and worth the money! The Summers crew answered all my questions from start to finish and gave me great instruction on how to maintain the unit plus the best way to handle the thermostat. I feel confident that they will be taking care of my Lenox and HVAC needs in the future. GOOD JOB guys!

Our AC unit went out. We called in a few people to give quotes... CJS, Wyatts, and Summers. We were going to use Wyatts but he couldnt get a new unit in until Thursday. Summers came in and matched Wyatts price and will have a new AC unit installed tomorrow! Thank you Brandon from Summers... You're awesome!

I responded to a mail out ad which offered to check, clean, inspect, etc. our furnace. Since it was my first gas furnace, I figured it would be a good idea to have a pro look at it for safety's sake. After canceling on me once, they showed up a couple of days later and checked out the furnace in the basement. i was with the worker some of the time, but went upstairs for some time. He checked it for about 30 minutes. He spent the next 30 minutes trying to sell be a new furnace since mine was supposedly defective and posed a health hazard if not replaced. I told him I would speak to my wife about it since we discuss all expenditures involving large sums of money.The next day, I called another HVAC company that I had past experience with and knew them to be honest. They came out, checked the furnace and found it to be O.K. and not needing any work, much less replacement. They did find, however, that Summers had not even cleaned the fan which he had taken out, but left it caked with gunk. It would have only taken 2 minutes to clean it (which the 2nd HVAC guy did for no charge) but he didn't even do that. He did charge me about $50 for the inspection, as advertised, but I realized later that the price was low since they basically just wanted a foot in the door to sell me a furnace I didn't need. Very disappointing to realize that some people are so determined to get your money in their pockets that they need to lie and misrepresent themselves and their service. The honest company that I called for a 2nd opinion informed me that this was an all-too-common occurrence in the industry. Sad but true.
