Pella Windows and Doors

My window / storm door installation began in April 2023. It's now July 2023 and the windows got installed but I do not have my storm door installed because the door brought to my home was the wrong color. Brad Karlos, the Pella salesman said he was getting me the right color door, but when I called Pella in July 2023 the original wrong color door was still sitting in their warehouse and Kelsi (installation dept) said my project had "slipped under the rug". Installation manager Clinton called me and said he would speak with the salesman (Karlos) and then get back to me with a resolution on July 11 2023, and now it's July 17 and still no contact from Clinton. I've now been trying unsuccessfully for two weeks to resolve what should have been a simple swap with their vendor for the correct colored door (the original incorrectly colored door was still in its original shipping package). This situation is obvious poor customer communication/care/service, especially in the case of an incomplete project. My next step is to go to the Pella office and try to track down the branch manager and see what his story is. I'm an unhappy customer because I have no storm door and I ordered this job in the winter so that I could enjoy the daylight and fresh air this summer. Makes me wonder what is going on in their office because it appears multiple people are not doing their job (in my case).

Everything went very well. Installation went quickly with no problem. The guys did a fantastic job of removing the old caulking, re-caulking and finishing around the Windows and door inside and outside. And, this was in January!

It was the first time we used them and everything turned out well. Two technicians installed the door and 1 sales person came to measure. The salesmen’s did an awesome job at matching the wood of the door to our woodwork. The installation was completed in about 5 hours. They did a good job and were good with the cleanup after the job. They were good at explaining how to use the door and clean it. They were friendly and I had no problem scheduling the service.

It worked out fine. It was all done in one day which was very nice. The price was comparable than what I have got from other places. The service was fine. The problem was on the lady in the office and the scheduling. We set up a tentative date for the install and with the understanding that somebody would be calling me before the install. These guys showed up on the door one day. We had snow and ice on the ground outside and I'm like "No, it's not gonna happen today.". It's too cold. My doors are gonna be open. The guys left. The girl called and they wanted to reschedule. She was so pushy about it. I would not reschedule but she got over it. I don't think the lady in the office was very professional in the way she handles things. The guys who did it were wonderful but the lady in their office, I would not probably rate her well.

Actually, when we replaced all of these, one of the windows was not the correct size and they were putting them in December until they had to put the window in that they have, but they replaced it today. I would've even know that wasn't the right size.

Pella came and fixed sliding door and will return this week to do more work on same door as it seems to make a terrible noise when opened and closed.

The experience was absolutely great. It is gorgeous and it is huge. They were very very prompt right from the beginning when we first set up an appointment. The gentleman who came to our house brought a program with him because we couldn?t decide which type of door to buy. So he showed us several different door styles and he actually helped us choose the door that went into the living room because we just couldn?t decide. He had this beautiful program and it was so great and pretty interesting.

Windows were installed by a third party. Overall I am happy with the look of the windows. I have problems with the windows sweating when the temperature drops below 15 degrees farenheit outside. When I contacted Pella, I was told the humidity is too high in the house. It is dry enough to have static shock when you touch things in the house. I'm not certain the seal where the glass meets the wood is tight. The glass has Argon gas. I'm not sure double pane glass is better than traditional glass and storm windows. Aside from sweating windows I am pleased with the look and function of the new windows.
