I was initially very pleased with how things were progressing - the person who does estimates was able to come to my house pretty quickly and sounded professional and accommodating. However the price in the estimate I received was quite high. I tried to explain my concerns, ask for parts and labor to be split, ask for price reduction options and have never heard back. I would've appreciated if they had responded with something - maybe as simple as "we're not in the position to negotiate the price" instead of simply ignoring me. Eventually I had another contractor perform the job.

They are very easy to work with. Their prices were good, and they showed up on time.

I contacted A. Mann Plumbing via its Web site. Within a few hours, I received an email from the company suggesting a time when they could look at the problem. Subsequently, A. Mann Plumbing visited my home in response to a leaky shower in the master bath upstairs. The shower had been leaking to the point of coming through the ceiling in the livingroom below. They were very professional and identified the source of the leak in about two minutes. They advised me how to fix the leak myself (recaulk shower track). I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

They came out almost immediately after my call and after ordering parts were here within a day. Robbie was professional, helpful, accomodating and explained everything in detail. It was a good experience and we have peace of mind with the back up pump in place.

We went with another company that did a great job for much less.

I had called Mann Plumbing the Friday before (03/18) and I believe I spoke with the owner about my situation (I had water spots on my living room ceiling. Directly above that is my bathroom, but I had some friends over to check it out, and they thought the water spots may have been from problems with the vent/flashing, not the plumbing). Since I live in a condo, if it was indeed a roof problem, the association would be responsible for the repair, but if it was a plumbing issue, it would be on me. The owner was very understanding of the problem and suggested a couple different options (sending someone out, or marking the spots with a pencil to see if they grow in size after showering or a big rain). I opted to have someone come out, and they offered to come the next day, but I chose to wait until that Monday. They arrived right at 9:00, as promised. The owner's son, Robbie, came out, and he was friendly and helpful. He did not think the spots were a result of the ventilation or flashing, and he thought perhaps my friends may have fixed the problem by caulking the shower faucet. He did notice that the showerhead had a stray stream, and perhaps water was coming in behind the faucet from this stream, so he recommended replacing the showerhead and re-caulking the shower faucet with silicone. He checked the tub area to see if there were any other areas of concern, and he checked the toilet as well to make sure it wasn't the problem. Mann Plumbing offers a $5 discount to Angie's List members with a coupon, or $10 off with the coupon plus donation of a canned food item for a particular food drive they are help out with (love the community involvement!). I chose Mann Plumbing for several reasons: --I got their name from a coworker who has used them several times. --They have been providing plumbing services to the Columbus community for over 50 years. --They have received very good reviews on Angie's List. --They were able to give me an estimate of time and money for the job. --How the owner handled the initial phone call put my mind at ease that they took my concern seriously.

I chose this company on many good reviews on Angie's List. I found it nice to call a company and have human voice on the other end to answer the phone and work with you in getting someone out as soon as they can to fix the problem. I was happy with two tech's who came out and willing to answer my questions. What I also like they give 5 percent coupons to Angie's members and also if you want to donate can goods to food bank they will add another 5 percent . I thought that was very nice in their company to help with food bank.

They were very reasonable. They did a nice job. The sales guy was great. He was very informative and answered all my questions. He followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy with the work they did. I think he came back a second time. He did not do the work but he supervised the job.

The guys came on time. Did the job plus went the extra mile by cleaning out the well and making a repair on a outside drain. Asked what else they couild and made me think of serveral small projects I have forgotten about. Excellet service. I will use them again. Tom

Quick response! Excellent service! They arrived 20 minutes after I called for the repair. The sump pump needed replacement because the engine had burned out on my old one and it was causing the basement to flood. I explained the situation and they quickly arrived to fix it. They were professional and very knowledgeable. They even took their shoes off, without my asking, so as to not track dirt and snow into the house. They also saw that some of the piping along the wall, going into the pump, was loose and would eventually cause another leak. They fixed that for no additional charge. They replaced part of the piping, cutting it to fit exactly, and two of the couplings for a tighter seal. They were definitely concerned with fixing everything correctly with a great attention to detail. They were also careful to clean up everything immediately, so nothing was left behind or laying around for me to clean up later. The job was finished in 30 minutes and they accepted credit card, which was convenient. Overall, I will DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM to everyone and use them again, the next time I need a plumber for any job. Thank you Angie's List for the great find! Finding this plumber alone made the membership price worth it.

We called and scheduled an appointment that was convenient for us. They were helpful and friendly. We ended up having to reschedule the appointment and they were very accomodating and flexible. Robbie and Nick arrived a few minutes early! We showed them the problems and they got to work right away. Both were friendly, knowledgeable and very patiently answered all our questions. They worked quickly and did a good job. They cleaned up the work areas. We would have liked them to have carried the used parts across the carpets and wood floors in a plastic bag or bucket so they didn't drip. We were really pleased with their work and will definitely use them again. Note on the price: app. $160 for parts and $128 for labor.

Service person was pleasant, prompt, courteous and efficient. The problem was caused by servicemen doing work on my gas hot water heater. The workmen had apparently turned off the main gas line and in so doing caused the pilot on the fireplace to go out. Now I know how to relight the pilot if it goes out again and will call A. Mann Plumbing the next time I need plumbing service.

Outstanding service. On time. Professional. Reasonable cost. Did what they said they would do, and did it right. Quality work. Explained things to us before starting repairs. We highly recommend this company. We used a competitor of this company over the last several years, and we would never go back to the competitor.

At the time this work was done they were the only group that could handle the propane hook-up. They were knowledgable on advising us of a unit to meet our needs. We can run dishwashers and washing machines while bathing kids. They showed up promptly with an armada of vehicles. We were introduced to the individual that would be the contact for all our questions/ concerns. Our tank was atypically far away from the sump pump. They asked to borrow a garden hose to drain the old heater. This was neatly reconnected and wound on the reel from which it was removed. The unit (approx. 12"x18"x4") was mounted on a wall- taking up far less space than a traditional tank. We were consulted on settings and the basic functioning of the unit. The old unit, packaging and installation materials were removed and the floor swept. Given that we live in an 1860's farmhouse, the swept cellar floor was pleasantly noticable. They were absolutely great! We are very happy with the tankless heater. The additional expense is well worth it. We estimated our savings would be realized in about 6 years. It removes all the stress of showering with big family visits.

We recently moved into our house and had a concern about a line to a gas fireplace which appeared to be damaged. Fortunately no repairs needed to be completed. They were able to explain the source of the damage (the covering to the line was damaged but the line itself was not). This was a small job but it was a small job because of their HONESTY. They could have easily tried to sell me on repairing the line, but instead earned my trust and respect. I will definitely use them for all my future plumbing needs.

I called A Mann in a panic. We were on our way out of town for a family wedding. I went downstairs to grab luggage and noticed the unfinished part of our basement was flooding. I had no idea what was going on and called A. Mann hoping someone could come out quickly. They rearranged their entire schedule to fit in our job. Robby was there within the hour and worked quickly to identify the problem & snake out the drain. They are a wonderful company to work with.

It went well. The plumber was on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly. He used a blowtorch to thaw the drain--the pump is in the garage and the line froze above the check valve. He recommended heat wrap tape, which I easily (and cheaply) purchased at Lowe's. He was courteous and professional. Definitely will use them again. The cost reasonable, and much less than I've paid other plumbers.

What a great company and a couple of good guys. I know nothing about plumbing and they could have sold me services or fixed things not broken. Their biggest concern was to treat me fairly and professionally. Will I use them again? I would never call anyone else. They treated me more like a friend than a customer.

He did a very professional job and cleaned up very well after the work was completed. He did an excellent job.

The plumber was Robby and he was punctual and very efficient. Since the work involved draining the water line and then reconnecting the line, I was a little worried about a water mess. However, there was very little water on the utility room's concrete floor because Robby was so careful and knew what he was doing. He even installed a more convienent water shut-off handle which I really appreciated. He took the old water softener unit away for disposal. There have been no leaks and I could not be more pleased with the job.

He did an excellent job. He was very professional and efficient. He came right out and got the job done. I was impressed and pleased with his work.

They performed the job in a very professional manner. They were extra careful not to disturb a mature shrub. This saved the shrub. The yard was a mess when they finished, which was expected when you have your yard dug up to repair a waterline. Overall I am very satisfied with the repair.
