It was very easy to schedule a time for an estimate. The woman I spoke with on the phone was wonderful. Brent was punctual and informative. The estimate was acceptable (especially after I found out another plumber would have charged 1.5 - 2 times the amount!) They were able to quickly schedule the time for the work to be done. We had done all the necessary prep and rough-in that we could, and we supplied all the materials (except for the mortar and drain assembly). Mark was the installer and was professional and prompt. He had to be creative to move the drain assembly so that water supply lines wouldn't have to be moved. He left the bathroom clean and tidy. My only thought (can't even call it a complaint) is I wonder why he chose not to shim an outside flange on a half-wall. When he was done, he showed me where the stud was not square and I would need to unscrew the screws (they were partially screwed in so the panel wouldn't buckle), shim it and then screw the flange down. (?) I even had shims in the bathroom figuring he would have to shim something - it's an old house. Not really a big deal to shim it myself- just a head scratcher. Overall I'm very pleased.

I called Mann Plumbing earlier in the week for an "estimate" of some items we knew we needed to address before they became serious (hot water heater reaching end of life cycle, but still working / possibility of upgrading to 50gal tank or tankless unit / a water line that has a "drip" at a connection point / high water pressure & installing a laundry tub). Robbie came out the next day, right on time. Very professional and courteous. He looked over everything I mentioned, and even took what I thought was EXTRA effort to figure out how to make my wish list item (laundry tub) work. What I liked was he did not up sell anything. I was with him the entire time he was in the basement looking things over. We talked about everything in detail: the 50gal tank, or putting in a tankless tank, my desire for the laundry tub and where it could and could not go (due to code) and how the repair on the leaking water water line and high water pressure would be fixed. Short of this long story, he wrote us a quote for a 40 gal water tank install, and repairing the leaking water line and installing a pressure valve for the high water pressure. No joke.... Friday evening, pilot light went out on the hot water heater. We re-lit it, thought nothing of it. Saturday morning, we have no hot water. Pilot was out again. Re-lit, 1/2 hr later it is out again. Called Mann Plumbing emergency #, Robbie answered. On the phone gave us what would be a "quick fix" to the problem for $160, but could not do until Monday, because he did not have the part and supply store was closed on weekends, or could replace entire unit for additional $100 more than quoted due to Saturday service. We opted for a replacement since we thinking about it anyways. Robbie was here in about an hour. Install done very smoothly, clean up awesome in about another hour. They are waiting for the regulator for the water pressure, so he will come back out next week to fix that. But my husband and I are both THRILLED with this company and their customer service. Need a plumber.... call Mann Plumbing!!

The work took only a bout an hour to complete and the technician was thorough in explaining exactly what happened, what maintenance will be needed and what we can expect over the next few years.

I have been extremely pleased. They did an excellent job. They replaced a pump and installed a backup. They were prompt to arrive for the appointment. They were prompt in scheduling. He was personable and efficient. He cleaned up very well. It was as if he was not here, once he left. It was a very quick process. There were no problems. Everything went extremely smoothly. I would give them the highest grade. They put in the battery pump in 40 minutes and I was so happy.

Water heater finally died and I called A Mann. They were able to come out within a few hours of calling and installed a new water heater. Two guys showed up and finished the job in about an hour. There was a small error during installation and we didn't have any water pressure. I called the emergency line a few hours later (after business hours) and the same tech was able to come out and fix the problem in a few short minutes. Minor issue, not really even a bother to us. This is the second time I've used A Mann and I couldn't be happier with the service and results. Competitive prices and some of the nicest people in the business. They have become our absolute go-to for all plumbing issues.

The plumber was punctual, very courteous, and explained details of what he would be doing. He got right to the job at hand and completed his task of removing two old faucets and replacing them with new ones. The entire job was completed in 20 minutes.

At the time we purchased our kitchen faucets from a design center we were given the name of a plumber for installation. After that recommended plumber never bothered to return our call (waited two weeks for a call back) I found Mann Plumbing on Angie's List. It was an absolutely delightful experience from the initial call to the actual installation. Upon calling I was greeted with such courtesy (truly a lost art) and given an appointment without having to wait several more days. The young plumber who did the actual work not only did a SUPERB job but was very respectful of our home and was so polite and professional. I had additional questions and concerns regarding some other plumbing issues going on in our home and he took the time to address all my concerns. I HIGHLY recommend Mann Plumbing. I have finally found a reliable and reasonably priced plumbing company.

He patiently explained our problems with us and our options. He pointed out things that really didn't need fixed. He was very responsible in spending our money. I learned a lot. I would definitely use them again.

Well... the service person didn't even introduce himself. He knocked on the door, I opened the door and he came on in. Guess he knew that I would know who he was? I showed him the problem and he exited and came back a couple of times. Each time, leaving the door open although I had my air conditioning on. I would close it after him and when he returned, he would leave it open. After bringing in the device to clear the drain (a gas-powered snake?), he spent a few minutes before removing some blockage. He said he had it fixed so we ran water, including from the shower/tub. The basement drain overflowed again. He grabbed our paper towels to sop it up. Then went at it again for several more rounds of snaking. After a while, the drain was finally cleared (thank goodness) and he shared the issue with me (feminine products). While I was printing the Angie's coupon he said he needed to clean up the basement. After payment and he left, I went down. He cleaned up the surface back-up but left the floors with standing water and nasty crap (literally?) still on the floor - literally filthy! He left our paper towels in a bucket and tracked dripping water up and down our stairs to outside. After he left, again, he left the door open. I guess I will be spending some time mopping the floors and stairwell. I would have thought they would have brought their own cleaning supplies and disinfectants for situations like these, especially after reading previous reviews of how clean they left other customer's houses. I will probably look for someone else in the future. Update 12/14/13 - have had to bring another plumber out for the SAME problem, despite the person from this company telling me that it wouldn't re-occur this soon as it wasn't due to tree roots. I have to say one thing he did well was replace the lid on the sewage access point because the new service person from the different company has been here for a half hour and still can't get it off.

Rec'd call in advance announcing repairman's arrival, he was punctual, polite, explained everything, repaired in less than 1/2 hour. All is good !!

It went very well. It was a big job. A substantial portion of the basement bathroom floor had to be dug up to relocate sewer pipe for the new bathtub, relocation of the commode and vanity sink. The original plumbing had been installed by the owner in 1968 when the house had been expanded in size out the back. That construction was done without permits and much of the work did not meet code restrictions. Drains were not flowing properly and sewer gas was building up in the kitchen and bathroom sinks upstairs. This must have been occurring over many years since we had just purchased this house about 3 years ago and it was first built in 1954. All plumbers we had brought in for consultation recognized the problems right away under the first floor in the basement ceiling. We chose A. Mann Plumbing to do the work since they did work for Jae Company and we had Jae remodel a bathroom in another house. We liked the work A. Mann did on that project and contracted them to do the plumbing work on our basement bathroom in this house. The owner acted as the general contractor on this job and A. Mann secured the plumbing permit from the city. Although it was not our original intent to re-do all the overhead (under first floor) plumbing as a part of this project, it became clear that there were so many code violations, it made no sense not to do it. A Mann made a deal to work that new part of the project on a time and material basis just so the completed job would be properly done and that we would have no further issues with sewer gas and be completely happy with the final work both from the standpoint of getting it accepted by the building inspector as well as our ultimate happiness with the job. Everything worked out to our complete satisfaction. Virtually all the plumbing in the house is new work. And the perception of sewer gas in the upstairs drains is absolutely gone.2

I have used A Mann for several plumbing jobs. They are such a pleasure to work with. Now when I have a plumbing issue, I always call them. They are professional, courteous, punctual and all around good guys!

drains were slow, called Mann plumbing on Monday morning and by Tuesday morning the drains were free flowing again. Love these guys!

Terrible service for something simple.

They were able to come over in less than an hour. It was not a rush job but it was very handy to have them come so quickly. Job was completed quickly, was well done, with very little mess. Plumber was very courteous. Even though I generally do my own plumbing, I would not hesitate to call them again.

Tech showed up early, worked quickly, was very friendly and professional. Installed a battery back up to our sump pump and even recomended there was no need to replace our primary system, which we were planning to do and therefore he saved us a few hundred dollars. Overall, the company was great to work with and the saleman I originally talked with on the phone was great about explaining the work to be performed and the features of the new back up system.

Overall we were very satisfied with the service. He was polite, knowledgable, on time and the price was right on. Would go with them again in the future.

Robbie arrived on time and immediately assessed what needed to be done. He was very efficent and cleaned up the area as he worked. I was impressed with his pleasant attitude and work ethic. My dishwasher runs beautifully and no more leaky pipes!!

Their price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied. They were punctual, honest and responsive. I will use them again. I would rate them an "A" in all categories.
