Description of Work: Section of neighbor's Sycamore tree fell on my roof during evening storm of 01.22.18 and I needed to have it removed asap in order to get the roof & holes covered to prevent further water damage. I called Arbaugh Tree Service based on reviews. Due to the emergency situation and heavy work load for them in the area that day, I did not get an estimate (nor was one offered) but they were very quick to arrive (within hour of call). Though they did remove everything from the roof in an hour; they did not however clean any of the mess from the roof or my deck below (wood chips, twigs, logs etc) which I felt should have at least been blown off roof with leaf blower and branches they dropped on deck should have been put with the rest that was put in my front yard. Charged me $400 to remove tree portion and said would be additional $200-250 to take the wood away. I opted to not have them take it due to extra cost - I mean, I already have a huge expense ahead of me to repair my house. I will get estimates for the multiple trees I need trimmed and/or removed this year. Considering I paid $300 per tree this past summer to have entire trees removed by another vendor, this vendor may be higher priced. I am a licensed insurance agent so please note: when a neighbor's tree does damage to your home, IT IS NOT COVERED BY THAT HOMEOWNER'S POLICY - (vendors may tell you otherwise) this is considered an "Act of God". You may however, make a claim against your own policy for damages to your home which will effect your claim history and you will pay a deductible.

Description of Work: The company was contacted at the end of Mar/early April for an estimate (2 trees removed and stumps grinded in back yard and the remainder of a tree removed and its stump grinded in front yard). They were prompt, coming out within 5 business days and provided a fair estimate on 3/28/17. After receiving several bids we decided to go with this company because the gentleman owner seemed very knowledgeable and professional and the price was fair. They gave us a time frame of 4-5 wks. We agreed. They contacted us on 4/20/17 saying they would be out on 4/21/17. On 4/21/17 I contacted them in morning to see when coming and was advised that they would not be able to get to us afterall that day. Ok, I accepted that because I realize that sometimes jobs may take longer or weather could push. They advised they were hoping for next week and would call a day prior to when they come out. I figured since we were called for 4/21 that we'd be on schedule soon thereafter and wouldn't have to wait too much. Since I hadn't heard anything for the following Mon., I contacted the office on Monday 4/24/17 to see if on for Tues or sometime that week. I was told they'd try for this week. I continued to call for the next 4-5 weeks (several times a week) and received the same response every time...we'll call you and trying for next week. I don't understand how a job can be on the schedule one day and then you just cannot get to it for a month. I really tried to be patient and understanding that weather is a factor in the business. (There wasn't a precipitation issue during the time period to affect the schedule for the long length of time we were ignored.) But to continually receive the same runaround. They may have been frustrated with my calls every other day but I was frustrated with the lack of communication from their side and pushing us to the side. If they didn't want or have time for our business then just advise us so- don't just continually give excuses. They obviously were waiting for us to cancel, which I did toward the end of May. We had a schedule of things to accomplish during a period and they didn't care about completing our business. I felt very disrespected, especially after trying to be patient for such a length of time.

Description of Work: They trimmed two large trees and cleaned the total mess. Everything went well and we were happy with the service. |

Description of Work: Removed 2 crab apple trees (no stump grinding), trimmed and thinned 3 large trees requiring tree climbing and thinning. 5 smaller trees lightly trimmed to allow for mowing. Removed all limbs when finished,chipping limbs on site and removing debris. My first call to them went unanswered but the second call was immediately attended to and an appointment quickly set. I assume the first message was never received. The crew was very friendly and left our yard in great shape. We were very pleased with their job and their prices were cheaper than one other quote we got.

Description of Work: We had them take down three large Bradford pear trees that were about 35 years old. We had them leave the wood so we could split it, but they cleaned up everything else and left nothing but the cut wood behind when they were done.

Description of Work: They dug a 15ft pine tree out & replaced it . Cut the lower branches of 5 other pines so they won't drag the ground. Thinned 2 red maples & 2 Bradford pears. Trimmed 3 arborvitae bushes. They made sure they cleaned up around everywhere. I was very pleased.

Description of Work: They removed 1 of 3 very large tree trunks (of a wild cherry tree that split into 3 trunks about 15 feet up) that had fallen in slow motion onto my neighbor's garage. If the branch had come at full speed it would have crushed the garage. They got back to me very quickly when I called on Monday, looked at tree on Tuesday and did the job on Wednesday. If they hadn't responded so quickly, the tree would have destroyed neighbor's garage when heavy thunderstorms with high winds hit on Friday. They were punctual and did an excellent job cleaning up. They even cleaned up brush that wasn't part of the job that was in my yard and on parking pad. I would use them again.

Description of Work: REMOVED TWO LARGE PINE TREES, GROUND STUMP, THINNED LARGE ORNAMENTAL PEAR AND ORNAMENTAL CHERRY TREE. MULCHED TREE DEBRIS AND CLEANED AREA. LEFT AREA IN VERY GOOD ORDER. I HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST AND ALWAYS SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK.

Description of Work: We called to schedule an appointment for an estimate a month ago and have called them back two times since. No response. We have called another company today and have scheduled an appointment. We're disappointed to not continue our service with Arbaugh, but we need our trees trimmed and they didn't seem interested to give us their time.
