Arbaugh Tree Service

Work on the tree was performed in 2 stages. Tree was taken down, but since stump grinder was not available on the first day, another day was required to remove the stump and roots.

I called Arbaugh's and described the work I needed to be done -- one tree cut down and two others trimmed. Carolyn Arbaugh told me that someone would be out that weekend. A week passed and no one came. I called again and left a message asking them to call back -- they never did. Normally I would have given up at that point, but because the reports on Angie's List were mostly positive, I called again. This time Carolyn told me that someone would be out within the next few days. No one ever came.

I am very pleased with the look of my property since the work was done. Some neighboors & family have stated at how much nicer the yard now looks. The landscaper that did my spring cleanup & mows my lawn left a note on how much nicer the yard looks.

We contacted the company, and they gave us a job date. Since we we having a deck awning installed that required one of the trees to be pruned/trimed first, we asked to move up the date, which the company agreed to do. The owner himself appeared on site, and the work was done exactly as agreed, and the clean-up was terrific.

Our home is surrounded by some old and beautiful maples. The Hurricane winds badly damaged an important tree in my side yard. Gary Argaugh came out for the estimate and said he thought the tree would live. He is very honest and so nice to work with. We looked at the other 5 trees that needed elevated and thinned. When the crew arrived his son was very professional and easy to talk to. His men have a very good work ethic. I've never seen men work so diligently and take so much care to not damage anything below or around the trees when they are working. They do an amazing job cleaning up the yard when they are done and replace everything that they might have moved. It is facinating to watch these people climb in these trees with such precision and skill. I am always impressed with the work of this company. I have used them off and on for 25 years to cut down trees, grind stumps, elevate and thin my shade trees. They are the best in the business.

There was a certified arborist that works with the crew. They were very nice, uniformed and respected the the property and us. My brother has used them twice. they did all this work and clean-up in two hours. I was very pleased and so was my dad. I'll definitely recommend and use them again.

The crew arrived on time with all equipment needed. All men worked well together. They were never idle. Finished front tree & part of the back tree on first day. Returned next day & finished job. Loaded up every bit of wood & shavings in trucks. Certainly had all equipment & men needed for a great job.

It was great. They came out shortly after I called and give me an estimate at once. They came back, removed the tree and all the debris and did a great job.

While it is never pleasant to see one's trees cut down, Arbaugh made the process as positive as possible. The crew worked diligently, cleaned up thoroughly, and charged fairly.

There were 2 big oaks that they worked on. They did a very thorough job. My wife and I were very impressed with their work. They arrived in the morning and worked through afternoon. They cleaned extremely well when they were finished. The price was more than we thought it would be, but we were very happy with the work they did and felt it was justified.

They came as soon as they could after the storm we had. They did a good job. They were professional and knowledgeable. They did a good clean-up. They then came back at a later date and took down the rest of the tree at a reduced price.

I thought they did a good job. They cleaned up well and even took additional tree limbs that had blown into the yard and disposed of them for me. I would hire them again and am trying to now. I've called them to dig up my stump, but no one has called me back.

Their price is extremely reasonable. I understood why I had to wait for the service because there was a lot of damage from the remnants of hurricane Ike. They were very clear about trying to get to me as soon as they could, but it may not be right away.

On Monday morning after storm damage I called this company and spoke with their representative. I indicated that a tree had fallen onto my deck and property, that I was a member of Angie's List, and that I needed the tree removed. They indicated that they were in the area that day, and could possibly make it out to my property. They reminded me to contact my insurance company too. They took my contact information, but I did not hear back from them. I called them back on Wednesday and they indicated that they were sorry, that they are extremely busy due to the storm damage, and that I could be on their list. I said that was ok since my tree didn't damage my house. They took my contact information and said it may be a week or two. After two weeks, I called again to make sure that I was still on the list. They said I was still on the list, that they were busy, and took my information once again, but were not sure when they would be out. On Monday of the third week, I called to make sure they hadn't forgotten. They said they would be out that week. Each time I asked that they call me when they were on the way to my property so that I could meet them there. I was to get the tree removed from the deck which was covered by insurance, and get an estimate for removal of the tree from my property which would not be covered by insurance. On Friday I came home from work and the whole tree was gone. On the one hand, I am not sure if I owe any money. On the other hand they did a great job at cleaning up everything, including all branches, leaves, and residual tree bits. I don't yet know how much the total job cost, but given the situation due to the emergency storm damage, I commend them for keeping me on the list, and making it back out to my property in a reasonable time after the storm. It was great to come home to a clean yard and deck!

Once they came they were done in 1 hour, removing a large limb from our neighbor's and our backyards. They cleaned up all the debris and also removed all old branches in the yard which also were a result of the storm.

They were good, they came out on time and responded. I thought they gave a good estimate. Nothing against them but I ended up going with another company. ($600.00)

It was excellent. When the guy came out for the estimate he explained that I would need to get a permit and explained how I do that. I would have never known I needed a permit if he didn't tell me. They cleaned up fantastically.

Found Mrs. Arbaugh very friendly & eager to assist me. Garry Arbaugh presented a fair bid ASAP. Work was completed when they had other work to perform in Hilliard. You would never know a tree had been removed from the site. My husband didn't even notice the tree was missing!

They were very professional. They were on time and didn't try and do extra.

They came out and gave us an estimate first. Then they scheduled service. They did what they agreed to do and more. We were very satisfied.

Only complaint is that after agreeing to the estimate and approving the job, it took about a month before the work was done. I presume this was because it was a busy time of the year for the company, but watching weeks pass with no word from the company made me wonder if I should cancel the contract and seek another company.

Overall, they did a good job and I would use them again!

Went very well. Left message on phone at Arbaugh Tree Service to call and they called back within 1/2 hour. They came out that very afternoon and gave estimate. Said it would be 2 to 3 weeks. By third week I called and they said it would be another 6 to 7 days; however, they were out the next day. I was not home when work was done. You could not even tell they had been there except there was no tree. Everything was cleaned up beautifully.

They arrived at 8:30 and methodically and expertly took down the silver maple in back near our deck without damaging anything and removed the above ground roots in the yard, some under the deck, and most of the stump (part of it was too close to the deck.) They then moved to the front to take down the Norway maple, which had grown up around power lines, and to grind up stumps of some Taxus shrubs. It was a large crew that kept cleaning up as they worked, sweeping up all debris and blowing all the leaves. They promised the yard would look like a tree had never been there and that is the case. We have already reseeded and landscaped the front yard where the Norway maple was. We have never had a tree taken down before; I expected noise and wore ear plugs so I could watch, and it was fascinating.

They were in and out very quickly. They did a very good job. Cleaned up completely, couldn't tell they were even here. Very efficient. Asked for permission to go over to neighbor's property to trim some limbs that were hanging over. I thought this was very professional.
