 + -1 moreRich young installed my HVAC. He had maintained it impeccably and came out several times for after hours brake down of the old unit heating the addition. He and his employees have always been prompt professional. Until last year. Made several apt for maintenance and no shows. Finally an employee came cleaned and checked everything out. I did not stay and watch because i trusted this company. Later smelled gas and called the nearest company because of riches no shows. They came out and found a loose gas union. My house could have blown up and killed us! I am very saddened by this. Still looking for a trustworthy HVAC. Rich refuses to reimburse the leaking/loose gas union. Shame on you.

 + -1 moreMost of the time I've had them doing yearly maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner. I've only needed them two or three times in my 25 years of business with Young & Sons. One example of extraordinary service was when my A/C unit blew a capacitor at the beginning of a very hot weekend. In very short time, Mr. Richard Young (the owner) came out, hobbling from an injury, with one of his sons to service my A/C. It was working within an hour, as it needed some replacement wiring. The A/C had been put in by him in 1987 and, to my knowledge is still working today. The price above represents a yearly service contact price for heating and cooling maintenance. P.S. You should know that Rich is a long term friend of mine and that we go back 4 1/2 decades, so my opinion may be prejudicial.
Description of Work: Performed heating maintenance and service and renewed our service contract for the year. The service man called before coming out. He gave adequate notice and asked if he could perform the service for us. He was here within an hour, performed the service and was out of here in an hour and 15 minutes.

 + -1 moreThis was during a heat wave and his answering machine message said, "Will call when I can." Then he just showed up and I felt I was being pressured to use him because I had a family member recommend him to me and he knew it and so he just assumed he had the job before I could even find out what it was going to cost or entail.
Description of Work: They replaced the old air conditioning unit with a new one. They also took my old one and disposed of it.
