Description of Work: Tim's crew built us a 16 x 20 composite deck with a wood frame. The work turned out beautiful. We are so pleased with the details and finish work. It's clear that Tim has built many a deck because he doesn't cut corners and builds a top notch product. The only consideration that prevents me from rating this project an A overall is that Tim over promised and under performed several times on the project in terms of deadlines and what he thought would get done. He didn't have a handle on how many jobs he had accepted and what was a realistic time frame for completing all of them. Something that we thought would be completed in three weeks was one week shy of a two month contract. However, he finished everything an hour before our big event and did wonderful work. So if you don't have issues with fuzzy deadlines go with him, you'll love the work. If you must get your project done on a deadline, go with someone else.

Description of Work: Tim is a great guy. We had a complicated situation and he came out several times to help us figure out what to do. His prices are reasonable and they do good work. He was able to squeeze us in so it could be done by my wife's birthday. We now have a real nice pool deck. Thanks Tim!

Description of Work: Tim's Home Improvement recently completed a project of putting a roof over my deck. Last year I built a deck off of my garage. The plan that I had drawn up included a roof over the deck. I didn't think that I could accomplish this on my own so I began to get some quotes from several people to do the framing and roofing on the roof over the deck. Since I had built the deck myself, I felt I had a good idea what the cost of materials would be for the roof. I got two quotes on doing the work that I felt were just crazy, $9-10K. At that point, being very frustrated, I decided to join Angie's list so that I could find some other possible contractors to give me an estimate on doing the work. I found Tim's Home Improvement on Angie's List and was very impressed by what others had said about his work. I contacted Tim and one other contractor from Angie's List. Both quotes came in very close to what I thought the price for the work should be. I really liked how Tim presented himself and also the ideas that he had by looking at the drawing on how to best complete the project. That coupled with the excellent ratings that Tim had on Angie's List convinced me to hire Tim to do the job. Tim did everything as promised. He began the project when he said he would, he wasted no time in completing the project, and the work was done neatly and professionally. Although I'm obviously not a carpenter I think I know quite a bit about how things should be contructed as this has always been an interest of mine. I questioned Tim on several items as the project progressed, but he always supplied good reasonbale answers that satisfied my concerns. With the project completed, I will say I was very satisfied with my decision to hire Tim's Home Improvement; price, responsiveness, overall satisfaction with the work done.

Description of Work: Me and my wife needed our front porch and pool deck rebuilt as they were falling apart. After turning down a few other contractors and individuals i finally came across tim's home improvement:) Tim hisself came to our house to give the estimate and was very friendly and professional. He helped me put together a nice package that would look good for our home. His price was exactly where it should have been for a job this size and there was No BS at all. Him and his crew started the job a few days later and they all acted professional and friendly. Just things as simple as saying hello and asking how our day is going really helped make us feel even better about hiring tim and his crew for the job. They cleaned up after themselves and hulled away the old material. They were even kind enough to fix a few boards on another deck of ours which im sure he really did'nt have to do. The decks turned out beautiful and definately worth every penny of what we agreed on. All in all i can honestly say that me and my family would be happy to have tim's home improvement back to do more jobs in the future.

Description of Work: Tim is a very nice man, he went above to fix my front porch that another company JOYCE FACTORY DIRECT had left a mess. He covered my Beams and made the entire front porch look so nice. I really appreciate what he did to resolve my front porch issue. I will be using Tim again for further projects.

Description of Work: Since my first report, this contractor has written to me via email stating that my report will "come back to haunt me". Is this a threat????? I also have read his response on "Angie's List" to my report where I rated him an F. His response to this F rating is a total Lie. He led us to believe from day one that he was quoting this job and he did not care that we had problems with the first contractor. I have the emails from him promising us the estimate. There was no lawsuit against the initial contractor as he states in his reply to you. There is still no lawsuit against the initial contractor. Irregardless, Tim's Home Improvement will hold up your project by promising you estimates week after week and you will never receive them. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. Beware!!!!!!
