They were excellent from start to finish. We would definitely use them again. Update as of May 2012: There was a crack in one of the side walls and they weren't sure how it got there. They came out to inspect the issue. They fixed the crack and replaced most of the sealant for the grout. I was very pleased at how they handled the situation and made sure everything was up to par.

The work took 11 days for Mike to complete. His supervisor, Barry was over to inspect the job. Barry was very efficient. My husband and I could not be more excited about our new bathrooms. The tile in the shower and also the floors are lined up perfectly. Our bathrooms are updated and modern. Chris also came over to check in with us. My husband and I felt that from the moment we walked into their showroom, we were always a part of the remodeling process. Every person that we had contact with, Mr. Pierce (the owner), Amy and Mary (in the showroom), Chris, Mike, and Barry kept in contact with us every step of the way to make sure that the remodeling job was completed in the manner that we wanted. Good Work from start to finish!

My wife and I were looking for someone to remodel our kitchen, so we contacted Hughes. They treated us like family and made every effort to make sure we were satisfied. They have not started our remodel but I have confidence that it will look amazing when completed. I highly recommend Hughes they are honest and hard working. We really appreciate Chris for helping us out. He did an outstanding job.

The original start was delayed several weeks. That is why I gave them a Good rank on Responsiveness. I found out later that they are so busy this contributed to the delayed start up. After seeing the quality of the work, I can see why they're so busy. Demo is a mess; no doubt about it, especially with cellulose insulation. Kurt and Dave H. did everything they could to minimize the impact on the rest of the house. Demo revealed some of the outside walls had no or insufficient insulation. We initiated a change order so they could add what was missing (best $100 I've ever spent.) Removing walls, moving pipe and drains all went without a hitch. New wallboard and ceiling board (to cover the old stipple ceiling and holes for the new fans) came out very well. You can't find where the old meets the new. Dave's efforts on the shower tile and bath tile were stunning. I'm talking House and Garden magazine quality. How satisfied you are with the contractor in any construction project is in the answer to the question, "Would you hire them again?" Our answer is an emphatic YES.

They were on time and on budget we could not be more pleased with the design the construction and their professionalism.

Hughes was wonderful from start to finish and we experienced a level of service we thought was all but gone. They worked with us to make our dreams come true. There are always surprises when you do a project like this and Bernie came up with good solutions to solve the unexpected challenges hidden in the walls by previous owners. Hughes places a lot of emphasis on good craftsmanship and quality work.

Our house was built in 1980 and contained the usual separation of rooms that lacked the open layout convenient for entertaining and allowing of natural sunlight into the home. Our goal was to change this. In 1984 we added a 2 floor addition to the rear of our house that resulted in the kitchen being on the inside of the house away from the outside wall. We began the process for finding a contractor at the local home show. Of those that responded to our inquiry this contractor was the most responsive and took a noticeable interest in providing us with a product that would best fit our desires. They took the time to ensure they understood what it was we were trying to accomplish and that we understood the steps to having this accomplished. In addition, their pricing was competitive and the quality of the products provided are excellent. Once work started they were present every work day. As work progressed there were issues that arose, all of which were addressed and resolved immediately. A major structural issue was identified with the addition added in 1984. A solution was recommended and upon agreement immediately implemented to ensure the project continued on schedule. The personnel assigned to this job were professional and took personal pride in doing an excellent job. The contractor took steps up front to revise plumbing and electrical design issues so as to avoid any need to revisit any potential problems at a later date. The warranty issued by this contractor is very complete and leaves us with little concern should any issues arise, (Which I doubt will). The job was finished on time, the workmanship is excellent and the little lady is happy. How could it be any better.

They are going to do the work for us. They quoted us $15000 and it was within what we were thinking of spending. They seemed professional. They invited us down to their showroom to pick the cabinets and the countertops.

The work went great. The man assigned to our job, Bernie, was very personable, and did a great job. We've had the fan installed for about three weeks now, and everything with it is great. The original man that came out for the estimate did underestimate the time needed for the job (quoted one day instead of two) but it's easy to overlook with the outstanding job that was done.

The price they quoted us was $7300. We signed the contract with them and the estimate is more of a contract price, so once we sat down with them, we went through it and picked out everything. The price that gave is going to be the price that we pay, unless they find something that was non-contractual when they start work. That was really nice to have that guarantee in the price that we would have to pay. They were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

It turned out good. The general appearance when it was over was outstanding. They are very timely, efficient and clean. They did the work in a hurry, but not a rush job. They knew what they were doing.

We were very satisfied. They came in on budget, were on time, and came out everyday until it was finished. They do say that they'll fix any problems within a three year period of the remodel, and they have done just that.
