Contacted Dave's Asphalt on July 3, 2015 to request a quote to have my blacktop drive repaired and sealed. I was contacted by Dave's Asphalt on July 7, 2015 informing me that they would be happy to take care of my drive but they require a $25.00 dollars for out of town jobs. unfortunately this is not listed in the advertisement on Angie's List. Dave's Asphalt says free estimates. When I contacted Nicole at Dave's Asphalt about their posting on Angie's List saying free estimates and I quote ( Yes I am sorry I wasn't aware it said free I will definitely be sure to change that asap). As of this writing on 11-3-15 their add still says free estimates. There is nothing saying free estimates only in Canton, Ohio.

This business should not be on Angie's List. As members, we PAY to have a membership, which allows us to read member reviews and so on. We PAY to get the best possible service from the best possible companies. Members, save your time from endless promises and emails with this company... major AL disappointment.

Excellent job... done as promised and when promised and at the agreed price. Removed all debris and cleaned up the entire area. This the second time we used this company this year with the same results. Strong recommendation for Dave's Asphalt

Dave gave two estimates for either a concrete and blocked or all gravel plus new sidewalk. Did the work as agreed and finished one day early. Great crew to work with.

Dave was available for an estimate the first day I called. His quote was fair and I approved the work. There were some weather delays, but, the job was completed in a very thorough and professional way. Dave made it a point to stop by to introduce the men doing the work and stopped by after completion to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I would be very confident in recommending Dave's Asphalt for any cement/asphalt work or repair needed. It is difficult to find people that really are interested in providing a good product at a fair price……Dave fills the bill in every way.

I found a post card that Dave had left in my mailbox with a price for resurfacing the driveway apron. I had thought about having the resurfacing done for a couple of years, so the post card, with a very good price, was just the thing I needed. I called Dave and since it was pre asphalt season, he said it would be a couple of weeks before it would be done. I didn't hear back from Dave in those couple of weeks, so I called him thinking he had forgotten. He hadn't and we got things arranged for it to be done. The day before the work, Dave stopped by to introduce himself. The work was done the next day while I was at work, so I didn't get a chance to meet his crew, but the finished job exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend Dave and his company.

He came out same day to provide estimate. His team came out with impressive equipment and paved the driveway on time. The quality of the work is excellent. I am very pleased! Would definitely recommend this team for any asphalt work

We needed to have our asphalt drive resurfaced, and add a praking pad alongside the existing drive. We also wanted a concrete walk installed next to our garage. We had several estimates for that job. Two of those estimates were left in our mailbox, and we never had contact with the person doing the estimate. Those were also the 2 highest estimates. We decided to go with Dave's Asphalt, after we spoke with Dave and Tyson. They were very pleasant to deal with, and they gave us a very fair estimate. We called them on Thursday, July 19th to schedule a time for them to begin the project. We asked if they were available the following week. To our surprise, they offered to start on Saturday, July 21st. Dave, Tyson and Jack came out @ 7:15 am on the 21st, with Clint coming in a little later. By 12:30, they had completed the first phase of the project. Carl, the concrete guy, came out with Tyson later that day, and agreed to begin the concrete walk on Monday, 7/23. Due to rainy weather on Monday, Carl came by to tell us that he would be able to start the concrete work Tuesday or Wednesday, weather permitting. He came out on Wednesday, and completed the job in about 4 hours. When the guys finished onSaturday, they had a problem in the area where the parking pad was to be built. There was a huge patch of clay then they dug out for the asphalt base. After they laid the gravel base and tamped it down, you could actually bounce on it. They disclosed the problem to us, and promised to do whatever it took to correct the problem. SUNDAY morning, Tyson and Jack shoed up with the bobcat and dug out the affected area, and filled it with material to correct the problem. On Wednesday, they arrived and put on the basecoat of asphalt. The crew had a couple of new faces, Leroy and John. And Clint was back. They said they would return on Saturday to complete the job. To our surprise, they arrived on Friday, about noon, and completed the job by 4:00. All of these gentlemen were very respectful of us and our property. It was a pleasure doing business with them. We would highly recommend them, and would not hesitate to contact them for any future projects. We do have one caveat. Jack, informed us that he had his own separate landscaping company, and asked if they was any landscaping that we needed done. When we told him that we had some tree limbs we would like cut down, he gave us an estimate of $300. We felt that this was extremely inexpensive for the work he agreed to do. He also said that if we found any other branches on any of our trees that we wanted removed, he would include that in the price. He took a down payment of $75. He never returned. We called his phone # a couple of times, and spoke with his wife. We have yet to hear back from him.
