Description of Work: I purchased the $399 for 16 Hours Wallpaper Removal, Drywall Repair and/or Painting. On the confirming phone call, I made it clear that I was primarily interested in wallpaper removal for one bedroom. If there was time left over, there were other minor tasks that might be done. Mr. Barnett wanted to know everything that I might want to do. He left the house and returned with an estimate for $1,200+ representing a day and a half labor for a three man crew. Included in that was two trips, which I translated to be six man-hours. What? When I pressed for how much it would be to remove the wallpaper in the one bedroom, I was told that $1,300 would be the cost of the job...take it or leave it. When I asked how much could be done for the $399/ 16 hours, I was told that it wasn't worth his effort to come for that. Extremely disappointing. Fortunately Angie's List permits cancellation of these purchases. That is what I did.

OK,glad the job didn't take place!first the big deal purchased was two days past the expiration date and I allowed the home owner to do a late purchase. Came out to look job over and give an estimate! I have been a professional painter for 34 years and have allways been fair and honest on my pricing.!When I arived the home owner began to show me the SCOP of work,the home owner wanted wallpaper removed in kids bedroom wanted wall repair done in another bedroom,wanted wallpaper removed in laundry room,wanted a large ceiling repair done in master bedroom, and a large repair done in living room the amount of work he wanted done came to 1460.00 ,with big deal discount came to 820.00 dollars on top of what he had already purchased!I explained this to this customer! Well natera lly Mr [Member Name Removed] had it in his head we should of been able to perform all this work for the 16 hrs purchased!I explains it was no! I agreed to come out and complete the 16 hrs of labor he bought through Angies list but since I said we were unable to complete everything he had on his list for the 16 hrs of service he didn't want to here that!! So after his reaction to that yes,yes,yes I then told him to get his money back it was not worth my time and def would tell him that again!
