Steve was excellent. He was punctual for the estimate and both days he painted. He cleaned up and did an excellent job. Will definitely use again.

Steve and his colleague took the time to do all the appropriate prep work prior to painting. They made sure everything was taped off and covered, removed hardware from several doors, and caulked all the gaps prior to painting. They arrived the same time everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The end result was a neat, clean job with even coverage. He easily handled minor requests along the way. It was a difficult job painting only doors, trim, windows and closets which is why this is the first time we hired a painter. The price was affordable in comparison to the difficulty of the job.

Better than expected...met with him as scheduled. His company finished a day earlier than his estimated. Very pleased with the job...as a matter of fact he did some minor repairs and painted. He gave me receipts for materials and his labor was reasonable.

Steve and his crew did an excellent job. They removed all the wallpaper, scrubbed the walls to removed leftover paste, and painted. All this done in 5 days. He used quality paints from Sherwin Williams and everything looks wonderful!

The work was fantastic. Outstanding quality, and it was done exactly when Steve said he would do it and he finished when he said he would. Steve and his crew WORK. They were here at the start of the day and worked until 5:30 or 6:00 every day until the projects were done. We have now used them on several projects, and I give Barnett's Painting the highest possible recommendation.

Wall surfaces were not cleaned for "paint ready". Many surface gouges and paper backing remained from poor paper removal. Some of the surface flaws were probably under the paper, but still had a LOT of prep work to do to paint.

We picked the colors and the team did a great job with the removal of wallpaper where able and in painting. However, the prep on the wallpaper areas was not up to par, in my opinion. In the living room, the wallpaper had texture issues due to excess glue, maybe, and that was left to show through wavy. There were seams in some rooms that were not cut out, prepped and sealed; they were just painted over. There were corners, also, where wallpaper was not done squarely into the corner and could have been cut out, smoothed, and sealed before paint was applied. Another issue was the skylight shaft. Though it was not guaranteed, two months after it was painted, it is now peeling four times as badly as it had been before we asked for it to be professionally done. I tried to set up times to fix the defects, but did not receive confirmation. However, the contractor did show up at those times and left notes.

I realize this in an unusual review. What they did they did exceptional well. The problem is all they did was mask the stairs because they ripped me off! I purchased their coupon that said I would get one man for eight (8) hours or two men for four (4) hours. NO WHERE IN THE OFFER, NOT EVEN THE FINE PRINT, DID IT SAY TRAVEL TIME WAS PART OF THE HOURS. So instead of eight hours of labor I received six (6), two men for three (3) hours. Therefore, instead of painted steps I have blue tape steps! After they packed up the owner gave me an offer to finish the steps and some other work for $2,880! Typical BAIT AND SWITCH!!

Steve showed up on time and did all the work required with a few bonuses. He is very professional and careful. He cleaned up and even folded my drop clothes.

Steve responded to my purchase within a few days and quickly set up a time for the estimate. Although the cost was more than I expected, as I mentioned before, this would have been a challenging task for me to do. In addition to what I wanted done, I added having the ceiling painted. Steve was able to schedule when I had time off rather than when he originally offered. The day the work was done, the crew of three showed up promptly and got right to work. They covered everything with drop cloths and did a thorough job cleaning up after they were finished on the second day. The paper was removed, the drywall was repaired where needed, the ceiling was painted, and two coats of paint were applied to the walls. All outlet covers put back and the vertical blinds were rehung. I am very pleased with the end result.

I called him to come out to check the job and he said he would not do it because he expect more for this job.

The crew was GREAT!! Cleaned up their messes was on time and was very friendly.. took little breaks. .I felt the price was ok for the work and YES I would hire them again and recommend anyone to hire them ...if you want the job done right. Thanks Steve & Earl for a job WELL DONE!!!! S Walters

The job Steve and his crew of two did an absolute awesome job for us. They were punctual both days starting around 9:30 am. and finishing up both days at 6:30 pm with very few breaks. One of the easiest contractor's to work with that we've ever hired, Steve answered all our questions and kept us informed every step of the way. They cleaned up after the day's work nicely. Very professional. We would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone wanting a paint job, and we will use him again. The job they did made the interior of our home BETTER than it was when it was new.

I am delighted with the results! Areas of my home that were eyesores to me are absolutely beautiful now! Steve is very knowledgeable in his field and exceptionally conscientious about his work. He was able to fix anything he encountered, and he was able to answer any question I had throughout the process. Additionally, Steve takes a lot of pride in the end result of his work; he constantly checked and rechecked all of the areas, and he always had me check everything as well throughout the process to make sure I was satisfied. He and his crew did an excellent job of cleanup daily and once this project was finished as well. This is the first time I have had a contractor do such a large amount of work, and I admit to being nervous since this was a new experience for me. I am so glad I didn't let that get in the way, and that I had his company do this job! Steve is a consummate professional ? there is absolutely no way I could have done all of this and had such excellent results. He and his crew went above and beyond all expectations that I had. I absolutely will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, and I also absolutely will not hesitate to have him do any other work of this nature that needs done in my house.

The work took 2 full days and and half of a third day. We first discussed what work would be done. I would have been happy just having the wallpaper removed but Steve offered to paint the ceiling, walls and trim. I also had a room with six inch wallpaper trim that he offered to remove. This was wonderful! The team was punctual, they laid tarp down through the hallways where they worked. They bagged all the waste and wiped down all surfaces. They used Sherwin Williams paint and for the bathroom we asked for a mildew resistant additive which he gladly added. Both rooms got 2 coats of paint and I even noticed that near the doorway corners he put 3 coats. Before they painted they also patched any holes and evened the wall surface. We are very pleased with the results and plan on having this team paint other rooms in our home in the near future.

Steve reached out within 24 hours of me requesting an estimate and was exactly on time for the appointment. He talked me through the costs for the work I wanted done, was a good listener and communicated well throughout the process. He and his crew showed up exactly as promised, and he was spot on about the amount of time the job would require. We made a few add-ons once they arrived to do the work, and Steve was flexible in explaining the additional costs for what we wanted done beyond the original estimate. The whole crew from Barnett's was polite, on time and hard working. They made us feel comfortable having them in our home, and were very respectful of our house - putting down drop cloths everywhere they walked, making sure floors were protected during the wallpaper removal and painting, and completely cleaning everything up at the end. Steve personally checked the paint in each room with me once they were done, and made absolutely sure my wife and I were completely satisfied. I'd certainly be comfortable using Barnett's again for our next painting project. These guys were some of the best and easiest to work with contractors we've ever employed for our home.

BEST service I have ever used! The guys were punctual every time. They arrived at the same time each day and continued working until 6:30 everyday. The project was suppose to take 5 days. They finished it in four days. I wish i could find some thing they can improve on but i cant. Walls look perfect! Neighbors are asking about them as well as my coworkers. I WILL be using them again! This was a great first Angie's List experience. They have really set the bar high for the next service i will be purchasing.

I had a list of tasks I needed completed to rent a property. Some involved painting and drywall repair, but other tasks were simply errands and a few light carpentry jobs. List was completed to my satisfaction and on time. I would recommend this provider.
