Description of Work: My furnace stopped. They came exactly the time they said they would. He worked 2 hours and cleaned, replaced the electronic part. Left the place much better then the way he found it. It was the same man that put the furnace in 30 years ago. Great service. Fair Price.

Description of Work: After spending a couple months evaluating HVAC contractors I ultimately purchased and had installed a new Carrier HVAC system from A&L Heating & Cooling. They provided excellent recommendations and the installation was performed with great care and of the highest quality. They also made certain that I received all the possible rebates from Dominion Gas, AEP, and Carrier. This rebate was substantial enough to allow us to upgrade the HVAC efficiency. We highly recommend A&L Heating and Cooling. Do yourself a favor by including them in your evaluation of HVAC contractors.

 + -1 moreAir conditioner was blowing warm air instead of cool air (unit is about 20years old and has never had any issues). Repairman from A & L came in afternoon the same day I called, at time approximated in the morning. Checked inside and outside. Replaced compressor and showed broken part. Air conditioner also needed additional freon. lt works now! A & L also put in a new furnace for us about 4 years ago when our old unit stopped working the week before Christmas. They returned promptly to complete one minor adjustment on the outside distance between the intake and exhaust air pipes. The furnace has functioned without issue since.
Description of Work: Repair malfunctioning air conditioner.

Description of Work: Replaced two gas fired furnaces with a single high efficiency furnace and made required ductwork modifications. Replaced existing air conditioning system associated with the furnace.

 + -1 moreChuck Harris answered all of my questions (and there were a lot of them) and didn't try to sell me on the most expensive system. In fact he provided me with a number of alternates and was very good about explaining the features, functions and benefits of each proposal. On installation day they showed up exactly on time and finished the work in two days as promised. They were well organized and very professional as they did their work. I have only good things to say about their operation.
Description of Work: Removed two old furnaces and associated air conditioner and replaced with a modern high efficiency system. Tied both duct systems together with appropriate dampers.
