It was excellent. Immediately, Ed's professionalism, responsiveness and expertise was evident. He took time to make sure we understood everything he was going over, made himself available to answer questions and was extremely thorough. You could tell he takes immense pride in his profession and in our satisfaction. Would highly recommend, he is great, friendly and is first-class!

Great. Ed was there before I arrived. He walked me they the house and the high points. Then we weakest the exterior. He was intelligent and had a great sense of humor. I did not buy the house because of the things he found. It would have been a virtual money pit.

We left a message for Ed to see about scheduling him for an inspection for a home we are purchasing and got a call back almost immediately. He offered to send us an example of his inspection report so we could see what we would be getting after after his visit. The report is very detailed and includes a picture of just about everything for reference. We scheduled him for the next week. He said he would spend about 2-3 hours inspecting the property inside and out, then asked that we be available to walk the property with him to review his findings. (This was great as it gave us the first couple hours to meet with a couple contractors for work we were considering doing.) Ed was ready for us right on schedule and went through each area of the house detail by detail. He was great at explaining things to my boyfriend (who gets it) and to me (who doesn't get it)! He took the time to discuss concerns and make recommendations. He made sure all of our questions were answered before moving on to the next step. He encouraged us to call with any questions and we had the report the next afternoon as promised. Ed was professional, approachable, friendly and really good at what he does. His price is better than any other inspector we checked out and I can't imagine what someone else would do during an inspection that Ed didn't. We definitely kept his contact info and will be referring him to friends and family, as well as our realtor for her recommendation list.

The gentleman that came to the house was extremely professional and courteous. He was thorough in his inspection and made a few suggestions without being pushy for us to purchase any more from him. Excellent! In fact, he did more of what it was expected without charging more. He told my husband and me that there was the possibility that the connection between the water heater to outside wasn't well connected and he was concerned about carbon monoxide in our house. Thanks to him, we were able to fix the problem one week later.

It was an Angie's deal. Ed did a great job. He was very professional and patient. He checked around the house, especially the attic and the crawlspace, and told me what he found.

I signed up for the Angie's List Big Deal $19.99 termite inspection. I knew that my house had had termites in the past, but it had been inspected when I purchased the house 4 years ago, with no termites found. When I saw this Big Deal, I thought for peace of mind, it would be wise to sign up. I was not wrong! Mr. Winkleman has nothing to gain if termites are found unlike termite eradication services. He spent about an hour looking for signs of termites in crawl spaces, the basement, main floor, second floor and attic. While he was doing this, he was offering advice from his experience and training on avoiding termites, radon, and other home-care-related subjects. It was all very interesting as well as educational, and all for a minimal cost to me during an "off season" for inspection services. To top it all off, the day after the inspection, he sends the homeowner (me) a detailed report on what he found and did not find during his termite inspection. In sum, I was very impressed with Mr. Winkleman and this particular Big Deal. I recommend him highly for any real estate inspection services.

Service provider arrived on time and explained everything thoroughly. He thoroughly inspected the entire outside perimeter of the property and the inside, including attic and crawlspace areas. After inspecting he sent me his written report detailing the property to be free of termites. He also explained what signs of future termite infestation to look for.

He got back to me right away, and it turns out he is in Columbus, OH, which is about 400 miles away from where I am.
