I met with the sales rep for the company (Jerry) and was prepared to invest money for an upgrade to my current security alarm system that was 20 years old. The rep started out by showing me a 1 page/two sided sales aid of all the equipment they made available through their 3 year agreement. I was told I could pick any of the items and they would provide them for free as long as I signed the 3 yr contract. It was my understanding that the service was the value to them and the equipment, at no charge, was my value to the 3 year contract. I selected several items and told the rep that I still had a few other companies to meet with but that I would let him know if I was interested in a few days. I met with 2 other companies and the average cost for the same items was approx $175.00 (with several items also included for no charge). I called up the Nextgen rep and agreed to meet and sign up for the services and agreed to pay $84.50 at the time of the signing for an item he said he could just not include with all the other free equipment. I agreed and signed the contract on 4/25 for installation on 4/28 at 9 am. On 9/28 at 8:15 am (45 minutes before they were due to come and after I had prepared access to all windows/doors, I get a VM that they realized they didn't have all the supplies in inventory and we would have to reschedule. After no contact with a reschedule date, 6 days later I sent a text to the number from the service rep and exchanged how frustrating it was not to hear anything and that I would hope they had the supplies in and we can get the system installed. Little did I know they were not going to honor the contract and after a few text exchanges, I was told that if we were going to "start off the relationship with my attitude", and since they were not going to make enough money off the contract, they were NOT going to "accept" my contract. I asked for the manager and was told I was speaking to them. I asked to speak to the owner and they said they would have him contact me. It's been 6 days since my last contact and I still have not heard from anyone AND have not had my check returned. When planning on upgrading my system, I had planned on spending as $250.00 for the equipment but the rep kept saying if I go with them, there is no charge. It was their error to give away too much making the contract a loss. I think they are a lousy representation of the industry. I would have to say that it is hard to find any redeeming characteristics with this company from their sales representation, immature service rep and missing in action owner response. People should beware of their shady practices. They need to reprimand the sales rep and supervisor and not the customer for their own mistake. I just want my check returned and for people to beware of a bad business practices. Not only am I out 84.50 but now I have to take the time to get it returned to me. Buyer beware!!!
