This is a referral for Columbus Hardscapes LLC and owner Rob Hewitt. We had a paver patio installed by Columbus Hardscapes back in September of 2015. Rob came out to our house and made practical suggestions to stay within our budget, without sacrificing quality. He was very easy to work with and truly has the customer in mind throughout the entire process. Columbus Hardscapes workers were professional and even cleaned the dirt from the street after they left. We did have some concerns after our patio was installed and Rob did an excellent job addressing our issues. He stands behind his craftsmanship and products used. They are more than fair when budget is in mind. The quality of their work is surely noticeably, they take their time and make sure it is done right. I cannot thank him and his crew enough for the hard work they have put into making our patio turn out better than expected. We met Rob at the Home and Garden Show recently and decided to contact him regarding the installation of a paver walkway in our front yard. He got back with us immediately and came out right away. He listened to what we wanted and offered other suggestions as well. His quote was reasonable and right on budget and he said they could start right away. They came out a couple of days after we accepted the quote. They spent 3-4 days on the project. They did an amazing job and EXCEEDED our expectations. The walkway is fantastic and very well done. The colors match the house and the steps are perfect. They incorporated the stone on our house in the steps so everything matched perfectly. Rob was in constant contact with us, letting us know what was going on every step of the way. They also did an amazing job of edging our deck and filling the space in with river stones for a clean manicured look. They were able to use our existing stepping stones and incorporate those around the deck too. The results were spectacular. What impressed us the most was how thorough a job they did. They completely seeded where there was grass that had to be removed, they re-mulched everything that was near the walkway, and they leveled not only the walkway but all the space around it. We could not be more pleased with their work and would highly recommend them!

We are extremely happy with the results. The owner was in constant communication. Several unexpected issues were found during demolition of existing patio and stairs. These were dealt with easily. Very professional and helpful through the entire process.

The job was done on time, within the price we agreed and with little damage to the yard. There was a base of 35 tons of crushed limestone used. After that was installed a patio with pavers was laid. The size of the patio was approximately 800sf along with a fire pit and stone wall. To top it off LED accent lighting was installed. The crew that worked on the project was outstanding with no foul language used. They were personable and always willing to answer a question. Rob, the owner, was always available for consultation and stopped twice during construction to ensure the project was progressing

Overall, I had an excellent experience. Rob Hewitt (the owner) and I met to discuss my many needs. We discussed the different types of pavers, paver colors and accent pavers for the borders. I selected a gray paver with charcoal pavers accenting the border of the fire pit and the patio. The deck would be wood and multiple shades of white to gray stones would line one side of the yard. I was tired of the lawn mower hitting the fence and the weeds. They started the project earlier than I had expected. They laid the stone border, installed the fire pit and paver patio within a week! They re-seeded the back yard and laid hay over the seeds. THEN WINTER CAME! Rob & I were in constant contact. Once the weather broke, Rob and I discussed a deck installation date. Knowing that I was anxious for the project completion, the deck was installed on the weekend. The deck was started on Saturday morning and was completed by Sunday evening (stopping only due to bouts of rain). I offered them water and then left home in order to be out of their way, Rob & I discussed the care and treatment of the paver installations and the deck. I've placed some lawn furniture on the patio and I'm waiting a few more weeks to stain the deck (btw: Rob offered his services for the staining as well). I haven't used the fire pit yet but it's on the list when the weather gets chilly. I appreciated the frequent communication and honesty during this whole process. The work was done in a timely, professional manner and I have no complaints. I even told Rob that I wish I had more for him to do! I will definitely recommend him and his company to my friends; some are already talking about redoing their decks. I'm going to have a party and show off my back yard!

The hardscape work is absolutely beautiful. The man who did it was a perfectionist and an extremely hard worker. The landscaping plan was also very well done. I told the man what I wanted and he incorporated my ideas into the plan. The finished product was amazing. Everyone who sees it can't believe it's the same house. It took longer than I expected for them to get started but the end result was worth the wait.
