A few days ago I noticed that my rooms were 4-5 degrees lower than the temperature that I set on the thermostat. With the cold weather we've had the past few days, I was concerned that there was something wrong with my furnace. I saw the coupon from Angie's List for an inspection so I bought it this morning and called Pickerington Heating & Cooling when they opened at 7am. The technician was at my house by 8:30. He was pleasant, polite, efficient and obviously knew what he was doing. He explained that one of the flame sensors needed to be cleaned and showed me how they worked. He finished the tune-up and inspection within 20 minutes and told me about the services his company offers. He didn't try to sell me any parts or talk me into buying anything else. He was honest and professional. I've already recommended this company to two of my coworkers and I will definitely use them again.

I originally called for a furnace inspection, but ended up having the technician install a whole home humidifier. I received professional and courteous service on time. They scheduled an immediate appointment to install the humidifier and offered an Angies list coupon. We couldnt be happier- less pet dander/allergens in the air and the house is much more comfortable temperature wise. Highly recommended.

I was not present at the time of service but the person I had representing me was comfortable with their presence and there work.

The box being made to accommodate your humidifier install is not going to be ready by Tuesday as we were told. We are being told Wednesday morning it will be available. We need to change your humidifier install to Wednesday 12/12/12 probably about 10am or anytime Thursday 12/13/12. Please let me know what works best for you. If neither of these times work, we will have to look to next week as Friday of this week is already booked. Thank you for understanding. Please give me a call at 614-837-4026 when you have a chance. Excellent employees, very customer focused....above is an example of the concern for my being satisfied.

Overall this was a great experience. This was a special deal, so I made the purchase on-line. The company sent me an email; I then called to have them set up the installation with my tenant. They took care of the rest and the tenant was extremely pleased with the service she received.

The only massive frustration was the timing of the planned appointment. The service person didn't show at the planned time. Too much of my time was wasted and I was frustrated since my work-day was very restricted. I had planned this appointment well in advace with the company since I knew time was an issue for me. I believe the work was well done, but the arrival time was 4 hours later then planned for...

tech said furnace was at end of it's life (a Gibson, made in 1995) and it would be best to replace it. Said in May 2013 there will no longer be 80% efficient furnaces made, so by getting an 80% now I'd save $1,000.00, b/c the 90% eff. cost that much more. Said the Curcuit board would run $200 plus labor, and the pressure switcvh $150-250 plus labor, and that I'd start having more things go wrong later. So, i was going to get the 80% eff. furnace for $1800.00. My tenant then called me & said not to do it, just get the parts & he'd do it. So, he replaced everything but the curcuit board. i then called Pickerington htg. & had them relpace the board. They charged me $40 to get the part, $200 for the part, 4152 for 15 minutes of labor. And they tried to charge me for the original service call, but i told them the ONLY REASON i called THEM was b/c they were on Angie's list with a free service call. My tenat saved me $1,300.00. I would never recommend this company. they also tried to ruch me into getting the furnace, saying they had already ordered it, when I called to ask them to wait on the furnace while my guy looked at it. they were ready to replace it the following day. I will say that the woman who took all of my information was very kind and friendly. i think the technician's get a kickback on what they sell, and it was the end of the year, so maybe there was a big bonus involved.

As soon as we purchased the coupon, a representative from the company called to schedule the installation. We were able to get an appointment within 2 business days. The technician was very prompt and courteous and explained everything he was going to do. When finished, he walked us through how to use the humidifier and how it functions. We're very happy and can definitely tell the difference in our house!!

It was excellent. The day after I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List, the company called to schedule the service. They were able to perform the installation two days later. The installer notified us by phone as to when to expect him at our house. He was friendly and professional. We've been extremely pleased with the humidifier!!

Installed AprilAire 500M humidifier on the furnance. Had an incorrect price online, but they honored it. Showed up in the time frame promised. Did a nice job on the install. Very positive experience -- no negatives. Would use again and I recommend them.

I really enjoyed the service experience from this company from the first phone call to them! They were very professional and engaging when I called to request the service. I explained that I needed help on the furnace as well as the gas fireplace and the radon mitigation system in our home which we had just bought in the last couple months. The explained the scope of their services may not extend fully to my request but offered additional referrals as well. The technician called to let me know he was on the way, arrived promptly, and quickly went to work. He was very friendly and professional. He showed me how to operate the gas fireplace and gave me a referral for a company that specializes in them if I need additional help. He familiarized us with our furnance operation, made suggestions for filters use, and performed the safety inspections. Truly great customer service and quality HVAC service.

In the early morning hours of October 21, 2012 we were faced with a carbon monoxide leak from our furnace and we decided to replace the 20 year old furnace and started to call for free estimates. I called Pickerington/Eastland Heating and Cooling Sunday evening when I found their advertisement in Valu-Pak. I left a message on their voicemail and I did not anticipate receiving a call back until Monday morning, but the General Manager called back Sunday evening and made an appointment for Monday. Some of the other contractors I called were not able to schedule an appointment until someone called me back on Monday during regular business hours. The General Manager came to our home and prepared an estimate that was the most cost effective of the 5 estimates that we received and the equipment was American Standard, which is an excellent brand. While the other contractors had more refined presentations, we chose Pickerington Heating and Cooling due to the price, equipment, 1 year same as cash financing and the responsiveness of the General Manager who called to schedule an appointment Sunday evening. Most contractors could not offer more than 6 months same as cash. The estimate was provided on a Monday and we had the work completed on Wednesday, which also was a factor in our decision. I gave a "B" for professionalism due to the fact the other contractors had more refined and detailed presentations, but when all was said and done, I was able to confirm that the same or better services were going to be provided by this contractor as would be by the other contractors. The installers were very friendly and professional and took the time to educate us on the use of the furnace and programmable thermostat. While at my home the installers completed an additional task authorized by the General Manager without an additional charge. The evening of the installation I called the General Manager at about 10:30pm with a question about the installation and instead of going to voicemail my call was taken by the General Manager. Additional work needed to be completed on the installation and one of the installers was out by 9am the next morning. We are planning on having an air conditioner unit installed in the near future and I will definitely consider doing business with this contractor again. All of the contractors we considered were rated highly on Angie's list and it was a tough decision, but we are happy with the results.

I received an email to set up a time within a few days of purchase. We scheduled the appointment. After running into some traffic issues to make the appointment they arrived to my home a few min past the slotted time of arrival. They immediately went to the basement to access the work and went and got the supplies they needed. Josh is a very personable and professional person. He spent time with me showing what they were doing and the issues I had to make decisions on and accomplished the install according to my requests. Josh is a very personable and professional person. Josh, the service technician did an excellent job to check, test and vacuum the unit. While visually inspecting the unit he noticed an excessive amount of lint..... low and behold he found the dryer vent had come loose. What makes this unusual is the past two seasons I must have had 10 service calls on the furnace and not one technician had discovered the problem. Hooray to Josh for taking such pride in his work to give the home owner confidence that he has performed an excellent and honest job. That important find probably saved me thousands of dollars on the purchase of a new furnace.

Only company I have called to tell them what a great job they did. Showed up on time, very professional and pleasant and didn't cost me a fortune. I would definately use them again!

I called them to come and check the heating and ductwork in our home. They cleaned the heating unit coils. They also replaced our filter with an electrostatic filter. They were able to figure out where the allergens were coming from when others had not.

Shawn came to do a Service check on my furnace for pre-season. He was very professional, pleasant, respectful and explained everything to me. He also checked my A/C and was able to tell me that I am very low on Freon and the pros and cons of waiting til spring, when a thorough check will be able to check for leaks before wasting money filling the unit with Freon only to have it leak out. You can be sure I will call them in the Spring to check my A/C and evaluate my options about repairing/replacing parts/units.

They're prompt, they resolve the issues, and their pricing is reasonable.

Overall, it was an refreshing experience

They were punctual and took their shoes off or wore shoe coverings, which I like. They explained things we needed to do to maintain our air conditioner. Instead of trying to sell us things we didn't need, they complimented us on our choice of air filter system. They found a broken part on our furnace that we would not have discovered until it didn't light this fall. Two years ago we had a different company replace the same part. We had no idea at that time how much that company had overcharged us until Pickington Heating & Cooling gave us their price, which was less than half of the first company's price! We were so impressed with their service that we bought a service contract from them while they were here for a very reasonable price.
