Serviced the air conditioner

All went smooth, service call to set up appt was fast, appointment scheduling was fast. They called before arriving no problem. I would highly recommended Pickerington Heating & Cooling. The installation took about 30 -45 minutes.

They were very responsive to our service call. We never used them in the past and didn't have any luck with other A rated Angie's list providers returning our calls. They arrived within the timeframe they indicated. We paid for the service call on Mon. They had to order a part and returned on Tues. They called to see if they could come sooner as they were nearby by doing another job. The part was replaced quickly and the additional amount due for the part and repair was paid. I called the company today as I was questioning the amount of the part and repair as it was a bundled cost. Christine was very patient and answered by questions about the billing invoice and charges. I was still concerned over the cost as I thought that it seemed high for the amount of time it took to replace the part. She offered to have the owner contact me today. Christine called me back and thanked me. They realized after looking at our invoices that I didn't receive the $20 coupon for being a new client and that the incorrect billing code for part and labor was entered and that we were overcharged. They are mailing me a check for overpayment. Even though the billing issue occurred, I would have no problems with recommending them for service. They listened to my concerns and researched it for me. They acknowledged that a mistake was made and apologized and are refunding me money. The service tech was professional and pleasant and answered our questions.

My first appointment was made and confirmed promptly, but on the day of the scheduled service the provider never showed. I later found out that they had attempted to call my landline when they were on their way here but I didn't answer so they skipped me. I understand why they did so since I am on the very edge of their service area, but I guess I feel I should have been informed of this policy when I made my appointment since I could have given them my alternative number to reach me on. Anyway, another appointment was successfully made and kept about 10 days later. The service technician was professional, but very young, and I was slightly concerned since my furnace is probably twice his age. He was downstairs for a considerable amount of time, and when he returned he told me that everything checked out on my furnace including a carbon monoxide test. He encouraged me to install a detector downstairs because my furnace could fail quite quickly and become dangerous. I didn't receive any checklist or anything of what other things were checked or adjusted or lubricated on my furnace, so I can only hope that the technician did his due diligence. I have paid almost 4 times the cost to a different company for the same type of "seasonal furnace check" in the past, but I did receive a thorough report on paper of what transpired. I suppose for the savings, this current service was done to my satisfaction but I may or may not choose them again next year.

Incredibly responsive, very professional and they did a great job overall+++

Our Rheem heat pump (almost 15 years old) was not functioning and they replaced a bad capacitor and a bad contactor. That did not resolve the issue. They thought possibly it was the defrost control board fan relay and came back the next day to replace that part, but found it still had larger issues. They removed the new defrost control board since it did not resolve the problem, and they did not charge us for the part or service call since they believed we most likely had a bad compressor. During this time, we were using only the emergency heat setting. A few hours later, I noticed our home was cold and found that the furnace was not producing any heat and contacted them in the evening after hours. They called back immediately and asked me if I wanted them to come out that night, but I was fine waiting until the next day. They came back the next day and replaced a fuse at the furnace, and the emergency heat came back on. They checked the heat pump unit again, and after further diagnosis, they confirmed that we did have a bad compressor and that it would be more economical based on the age of the unit to replace the heat pump with another heat pump or A/C unit, and benefit from the warranty that comes with a new unit and improved efficiency. They did not charge us for that service call. I also purchased their annual contract, which is included in the above cost of service. I will have to check with them though, how that will work since I purchased the contract before I knew our heat pump was bad, so I may not be able to use the spring portion of the contract. While I do have two new parts (capacitor and contactor) in a non-functioning heat pump, I will use the emergency heat setting and definitely contact them after the heating season to give me an estimate on a replacement heat pump or A/C unit. In all my contacts with them, everyone was very friendly and responsive, including all technicians and office people. They came out during the window of time they said they would and explained everything to me. I will continue to contact them in future.

It went very well, they sent out 4 people to get the job done quickly and they were in and out in about 45 minutes. They re taped all my seams and while they were their did a check of the system.

I wanted to have my AC checked to make sure that everything was operating efficiently so I purchased their $49 AC Tune-up from Angies List. Service team arrived promptly. They inspected and tested the compressor unit and reported that everything looked good.

Great - service was done quickly and even though my A/C unit is very old never pushed me to replace it, stated it was in good condition and only replace the bad contactor.

Fantastic! They were timely, and efficient. I had just had my furnace serviced and they came in with the truth. That I would not need a tune-up at the present time.

They were great to work with. After I made the call for their service, they were out here the next day. The provider was on time, and the thermostat was installed in a very short time - maybe half an hour. I'd use them again.

As listed above, we are now in a service contract with Pickerington. They were prompt, polite, knowledgeable, and patient. They answered all of our questions thoroughly and did quality work. We plan to use them for at least the next year. Unless something goes terribly wrong, I foresee us renewing said service contract for many years to come. Not only was a manager present, but a young apprentice answered the service call. The apprentice was good at his job and worked very hard while the manager was an amazing teacher, showing him all the tricks of the trade. They were fantastic.

Representative came out and was very professional. He inspected our furnace thoroughly and gave us notes on what to look for based on what he saw/heard on the furnace. He then gave recommendations on what to expect. The furnace in our house is 17 years old.

Service tech called 30 minutes prior to arrival. He was on time, very professional and listened to my concerns. After he finished the tune-up, he gave me some helpful tips about my furnace. I was very pleased with his service. I will be calling them in the spring to look at my a/c unit.

They did an awesome job. The technician was punctual, friendly and inspected my furnace in just under 30 minutes.

Chris was friendly & knowledgeable when he came to spec out the job. It did not take him long, just needed some measurements. He spoke to us a little about what would be installed (ComfortMaker brand- nothing fancy, but reliable). On the day of the install, 3 guys came out, arrived at about 9:15 AM during a stated 9 to 10 AM window, so they were very prompt. They had the entire job (both A/C and furnace) finished in just over 3 hours. They were friendly and professional. They even patched up a hole in our ductwork that was the remains of the previous homeowners' shoddy DIY work, which was nice of them to do. The job write-up apparently included the installation of a new non-programmable thermostat, but when I noticed that they had removed our existing (perfectly functional) programmable one to put in a non-programmable, I asked them why since I'd rather keep my existing programmable one than get a new non-programmable. They apologized, and actually upgraded me to a programmable one without charging extra - again, very nice of them to do since I was OK with just keeping the old one but they put in a new programmable anyway. We've run the furnace and it works well! The upstairs floor feels more comfortable than with our previous system, since the blower on the new furnace is stronger and the airflow seems to make it to the 2nd floor better. Downside of having a more powerful blower is that the air circulation noise is more noticeable, but I'll take that over an upper floor that is always too cold. We have not had a chance to run the A/C (too chilly outside), but if we get a chance we will try it out and I'll update this review if there are any issues with it (I suspect it will work fine). UPDATE: We did get a change to run the A/C for a day or two, and the air felt so much cooler than it did with our previous system, which has been slowly dying. We are very pleased!

I got them off Angie's List but I didn't pay for them through Angie's List. When they put the air conditioner in they did not change the thermostat and like I said, I had a heat pump originally, so the old thermostat was set up for a heat pump and when they put the new air conditioner in they did not put a new thermostat, which they should have. When I put my heat on in my furnace it blew my circuit board on the furnace. I had another company come out and that was when I was made aware that I needed a new thermostat with the new air conditioner.

The gentleman called me 20 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. He met me at the location where the service was needed. He was very nice and professional. I showed him the thermostat and the furnace unit in the basement, and he took a look at everything per the Angie's List deal I purchased. He was quick and gave me some positive feedback on the furnace. It was a quick, simple, problem-free appopintment.

They called prior to coming, and were on time, did the job, explained what they did. They installed this furnace and AC new a year ago, I use them for all follow up and service, I think they are very good.

It went very well. The tech was on time, professional and neat. He forgot my two filters that were included but ran back to the office to get them. He suggested I replace a $28 part before it went bad and necessitated a $500 repair. I am happy that I purchased the two year agreement.

They came on time. They were very professional. They were very through. They gave me tips on things I could do to keep my AC in good condition. I would and will use them again.

Ricky and Brice were very professional and informative. They were very efficient. They even dealt with a yellow jacket nest under the old Central air unit slab! Initially, I was to have a different furnace but living in a manufactured home, the furnace needed to be a Coleman due to the configuration of the ducts. The gentleman that informed me of this the morning of the install, Brett, I think was his name. So sorry, I am terrible with names. He explained why I had to replace the old Coleman with a new Coleman. thank you so much for keeping me informed. The office had called me a few days before the install and secured financing for me. I have use this business in the past for repairs and I have recommended them to friends and family. They have always been professional and very kind when they are called and during the visits.
