Pride refused to honor a warranty on our furnace. We had used the parts warranty on several occasions for small repairs over the past two years. The Warranty was supposed to last through 2020. We called Pride when we went to sell the home and they confirmed that the warranty was transferable just as it was transferred to us from the last owner who bought a 10 year plan in 2010. The real estate deal moved forward on the premise that the new buyer would get the warranty through 2020. We called numerous times to get the paperwork for the transfer. After ignoring our request for a week, they finally admitted that they made a mistake and the warranty is not transferable. I explained that we wrote the warranty into the real estate deal based on the information they provided. I asked that they honor the warranty and they refused. They admitted they made a mistake and I have no problem when people make mistakes. I do have a problem when people refuse to be accountable for their mistakes. I wanted to work with them to come up with a solution but they were extremely uncooperative. Then they became outright ignorant. The owner refused to speak with us about he issue and all I can chalk that up to is cowardice. After a week of trying, we finally spoke with the owner and he asked us if he though we would prefer he" fire or shot" the woman who made he mistake. He said if he warranted the HVAC to he could stand to lose thousands. We'll guess what, we had to pay $2,500 for a five year HVAC warranty for our buyer. So to recap: Pride made the mistake, admitted to it, refused to correct it, dodge our calls, and I paid the hefty price to correct the problem. The bottom line is this company is run by a group of people that are inept, rude, and crass. The irony in the company name is fitting because from my perspective these people couldn't tell you the meaning of pride.

They did a really good job. They originally came out to repair a small garage furnace, and did a routine safety check on our home furnace at the same time. They found Carbon Monoxide leaking from the old furnace, so our home warranty company approved the installation of the new furnace. The warranty company provided the furnace, and Pride installed it. They installed it quickly and efficiently, which was great since it is the middle of winter! We were very grateful for the routine safety check they did- I saw how the CO meters work and jotted down the numbers on the readout. I checked the readout numbers online after they left, and read that we were creeping into a dangerous level. Knowing they were able to fix it quickly and safely was very reassuring.
