Hartz Sealcoating

Called at recommendation of previous owners of our home. We were greeted professioanlly and with an attitude that this company would like to have our business. They were prompt and through in giving an estimeste and describing the overall condition of our diriveway. Price was reasoanble and scheduliing was prompt. Did an excellent job sealing the drive.

Clean, efficient, on time and at the estimated cost.

I found Hartz Sealcoating on Angie's List. It was less than a week from my initial call to request an estimate to the time the job was finished. The driveway looks amazing!

They are reasonably priced. They do a very neat job, which was very important to me.

Because of the rain, the job had to be postponed, but we always got a call alerting us. The crew arrived when expected and completed the job in a timely manner. They're always neat, which we really appreciate. We had a couple of questions after the fact which were answered in person to our satisfaction by one of the Hartz brothers. The folks at Hartz are always punctual and professional. They've coated our driveway twice in the past three years. We'll definitely use them again.

Hartz was recommended by a neighbor. They came within a couple of days to give the estimate and completed the sealcoating on our asphalt driveway a week later. Everything fell into place and we were very pleased with their work.

Hartz did an excellent job sealing my driveway. I called to schedule a time and was told it would be a few weeks before they could get to me, but gave me an idea as to the date. That was fine with me as they said they would call a few days ahead to let me know the exact date. They called ahead, the workers showed up on the scheduled date to prep the driveway and to patch the cracks. They returned the next day to seal the entire driveway. Great job, no surprises. The workers were very professional. Will definitely use them again.

One of the owners was out to give an estimate on the day I called. They were completely honest about what they could and couldn't do. It's a shared driveway and there's been tension over the responsibility for it and quality of work that needs to be done every couple years so it's not in really shape. John was honest about what he could fix and what he couldn't/how long the seal would last. He was also honest in letting me know it was a busy time of year, and it wouldn't get done immediately, plus every time it rains, it set them back. When time came to get the work done, I was really happy with the process and results. They gave me a heads up about when they were coming -- they would be out on a Monday to fill cracks and then back on Friday to seal (they were watching the weather ... and correctly predicted how that would go). I last hired a service 5 years ago -- the Hartz price was only slightly more what I was charged then, and they did a better job cleaning and clearing the driveway, filling the cracks ahead of time. I know that the great seal I have now is only ultimately temporary since the driveway is in such bad shape, but I feel like Hartz gave me 100% of its best effort. I would definitely hire them again.

We had not done anything to our driveway since it was repaved seven years ago and there were both significant cracks and the asphalt was very washed out from the sun. In addition, grass was growing into the asphalt along one side of the driveway. Hartz Sealcoating addressed all of these problems by expertly performing the work as described above. They were very careful not to spill any asphalt over onto the concrete sidewalk or concrete walkways which abutted the driveway. We were very impressed with the overall job and would use them again.

I called Hartz on 9/30/11 to ask for an estimate to seal a driveway and they said they could do it by 10/7/11 - they never showed. When I tried to contact them Friday afternoon (10/7) to see why, the phone stayed busy for almost 20 minutes. I called another company and had the work completed on 10/8.

v good job. Came to door to make certain we had a car,out. When i received the estimate, the estimator did not try to sell me anything else. anmd told me the driveway did not to be recoated every year.

After I called for an estimate, John was out within 2 days. After I accepted his proposal he was out within a week to do the job. Hartz did a great job of removing grass from the edge of the driveway and applied the seal coat very neatly - not a splash anywhere. I would definitely recommend them!

We've used them 3 times and they reseal and recoat black top driveways. They are good and their price has been reasonable to others all the way. They do a good job, repair the cracks and the repair job lasts 3-4 years each time. They are professional, friendly and respond right when you call. They are very fast to get you a bid and clean up after themselves, there is no mess left on the grass.

Everything went smoothly. We had to delay my sealing because of other ongoing projects and they accommodated me to my schedule.

They provided a quotation promptly and explained the compound they used as compared to some others. They arrived on time for the prework and asked if they could complete the job that day as they had room in their schedule. That was fine by us. They were very courteous and completely professional. they explained their practice for sealing cracks and explained how some were not serious (but they would patch them anyway, even though that was more cracks then he had assumed in his bid. he did not charge me extra.) They did a perfect job. No slopping over on the edges to the concrete surfaces, perfectly clean lines. I am more then satisfied. As this was the first time using them, I'll watch how the driveway holds up, and if it does OK, I'll definitely use them again next year. They were recommended by M3Paving, who reconstructed my driveway 18 months ago.

They arrived for both the estimate and job ahead of schedule, which was not a problem. We were not at home for the sealing, but they explained the process beforehand. The driveway looks great! They were recommended by a neighbor, and we have no problem recommending them to more people.

This company also does business as Hartz Sealcoating. The quality of the work was good. The workers took care not to damage an evergreen that spread onto the driveway. They cleaned up afterwards. Responsiveness was a problem. We were told twice that we would get a call "next week" to schedule the job, but it was always 2 weeks before we received a call. And once we only got the call after we contacted them to see when / if they were coming.

Was courteously informed that they are not sealing driveways now because it is already too cold. He explained that if he were to seal it when the temperature was below 50, it would not last the way it should. He took my information so he could get an estimate to me in the spring. He also gave me tips for how to winterize in the meantime - what to use and how to seal cracks to minimize damage this winter. I plan to use his company in the spring or summer.

I called about the drain repair. Mr Hartz did not think he was able to do that type of repair, but came anyway to evaluate. I had said I was doing essential work first and knew the drive needed more work, but didn't know if I could do it now. A-1 left an estimate for repairing cracks and doing an overall sealer on the drive with a note referring me to someone to repair the drain. The estimate was much lower than I had expected. After the drain repair, I called A-1 to get the cracks and sealing done. I knew I had passed the time limit on the estimate, and stated as long as it remained reasonable I would like the work done. I was called in 3 or 4 days. Due to unexpected sunshine, they were able to do the work the next day. I had several items I needed to move that were too heavy for me, and Mr. Hartz said it would not be a problem. They moved the items, repaired cracks and sealed the driveway that day for the original estimate. All work was done efficiently, neatly with a written assurance of high quality materials. My driveway looks wonderful. One has to look very closely to even see where some cracks were repaired.

Great experience. They use Brewer Cote commercial products and did a great job keeping clean lines. I don't like it when people slop sealer down on concrete curbs and the like... no worries here! These guys do a great job paying attention to detail. I look forward to having them back.

In response to my phone call, an estimate was done and left at my front door. The price was quite fair and when the company received my signed acceptance, they called to tell me that I was on their list and would call me to set a date. They arrived at the stated time on the agreed upon date and completed the work better than anyone I have had in the past! The owner and crew were always polite and very professional. I've recommended them to a neighbor.

I was extremely pleased with this company, from the very prompt return of my initial call to the final job. The workers were very polite, cleaned up well and did a very good job on a driveway that needed lots of TLC.
