Great! The woman I spoke to about the work was super friendly and helpful. I got a quote within a day or two after I called, and they performed the work very soon after I accepted (within days.) The driveway looks great - they even removed all of the weeds that had started creeping onto the driveway from the lawn before they sealed it.

As you can see from the photos, the job was perfect! I had several cracks to be filled. The men came in the morning to fill the cracks with an application of rubberized crack sealer. Then a few hours later a group arrived to seal the driveway. They applied the sealer by brush which coats the cracks and holes missed by squeegee or spray applications, as I have had done by non-professionals on my previous homes. The guys removed all grass and debris from the edge of the driveway in preparation for sealing. Chuck comes out to give the original estimate and tells you exactly what is needed. It is obvious he truly knows his work and is an expertise in this field. He explains how their company uses Brewer Cote commercial grade products with Tarmax. Apparently this Tarmax helps better suspend sand and provides a stronger, longer lasting surface bond. He doesn't try to oversell you, only explains what would be the best for your driveway at this point in time, maybe just crack sealer for now and sealcoating next year. Very honest. Likewise, Mary who sets up your appointment is so nice, helpful and understanding of exactly what your needs are. You can call her at anytime with a question and she still makes you feel as if you are the most important customer they have. I would highly recommend Hartz to everyone who wants a professional and long lasting job. I have used Hartz Sealcoating before and each time have been even more satisfied.

They were great. They filled in some cracks that other companies said they couldn't take care of.

I was extremely well satisfied. They handled every step of the process in an efficient and professional manner. They are very concerned about doing a high quality job, they will not attempt to do the work if rain in scheduled in the weather forecast.. I would use them any time necessary in the future and would recommend them to others without hesitation.

I've used these guys in the past, always give a fair estimate and the sealcoat lasts a solid 2+ years, crack filling always blends in well and isn't done in a sloppy manner. They always tidy up when they leave. communication could be better. It's very hard to talk to a live person as I've only had conversation when I call with their voicemail. unfortunately this last sealing had some issues. The workers very obviously cut through an invisible pet fence that runs across my driveway. I warned the estimator about it, the scheduler, and marked the line with both flags and with sidewalk chalk warning them of the location of the line that ran in a crack in the drive. despite this they cut the line (likely with an edge trimmer) then in a desperate attempt tried to fix it with Duct tape. I understand mistakes can happen. the fact they never even mentioned it and then tried to sweep the whole thing under the rug even going so far as to try and sealcoat over their jury rigged fix, as if nothing happened, is a little upsetting. had their trickery actually worked it would have been nearly impossible for me to identify where the break in the line was likely resulting in a full reinstall of the pet fence. update 11/10/2015: owner of the company contacted me a few weeks after leaving my review here. he sincerely apologized for the mistake and wanted to let us know he takes great pride in running a respectful business. even going so far as to offering a refund for the mistake. honestly a sincere apology is worth more as it was a simple fix, and possibly a miscommunication,

I called Hartz to request a sealcoat to my driveway in July 2015. My driveway had many fine cracks and a couple deep cracks that I had to tried to fill myself quite unsuccessfully. When I called they let me know that they had a backlog of jobs due to the rainy weather in spring and summer this year. I told them I was not in a big hurry but did want it completed this summer. They called me a couple days in advance of the job. All cracks were filled and the whole driveway sealed. They did a nice job of edging the grass and dirt from the sides before starting. The driveway looks great. It looks new. I plan to use them in the future.

Many of my neighbors use Hartz and I also saw the excellent reviews on Angie's list. I called toward the end of the summer and they came in about 7-10 days and left an estimate. My driveway is in very bad shape and really needs to be replaced, and I told them this up front. They provided a detailed estimate and acknowledged that they couldn't fill all the cracks, especially the spider-web cracks. They are in high demand and told me it would be 2-3 weeks before they could get to me. They did call me in about that time and came when they said they would. They had a crew of several men and were as meticulous as they could about filling and smoothing the cracks. There is no way my driveway was going to look like new, but I was very pleased with how it looked in the end. I'm sure you can find other providers that will do the driveway for a lower price, but I think given the quality of their work, it was a reasonable value and I would use them again.

This is the second time we have used Hartz. It went very well. The crew was very neat especially not spilling over any asphalt where the driveway meets the garage floor and where it meets the stamped concrete walkway to our front door. The driveway looks good.

Hartz did a standard crack filling and sealcoating of my drive. They use a hot crack filler which I think is vital to a long lasting job. The process lasted two days - crack filling one day, sealcoating the next. i wish they'd filled a few more cracks, but I'll have to admit there were quite a few and you can only ask so much. The price was actually the highest of the three quotes I got, but not by much and given the quality of their work I had no complaints. The drive looks great.

Very well. They arrived approximately when they said they would, worked very efficiently and did everything they said they would. It did not take as long as we thought. The driveway looks great. It seems a little pricey, but considering the quality of the work, materials, and the application of 2 coats of sealant, we felt it was a reasonable price We would definitely use them again.

I have used the company for about 7 years and really like what they have done. We have even recommended them to neighbors because they do such a nice job. Their pricing is very reasonable. I believe 4 technicians came out and completed the job in a few hours. The were very efficient workers. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling their service. I will definitely continue using the company. I would give them an A+ if I could.

I was very pleased. Our driveway is quite long and we have two parking aprons so there was a fairly large area to be covered. We requested that the service be performed during a specific week because we would be out of town and they were able to do this for us. We have a dog that is on the driveway a lot and we really appreciated having the work done while the dog was with us on vacation.

We had signed up to get it coated but before they could come we had a landscape company coming with big equipment. Hartz worked with me to delay their service so it wouldn't get ruined by the heavy equipment. Then, we had a series of days of rain, so they had to delay their service further. Through it all they kept me informed of when they were going to try and get the job done. We finally had a dry day yesterday and they came, did a fabulous job, left the worksite crystal clean, and roped off the driveway with yellow flags to keep any cars off.

They are very nice and reasonably priced but the product they use does not last. The product they used to seal the cracks melted on tires and my dogs feet. . .

Hartz responded quickly after the initial call for an estimate, and took about two weeks after to complete the job. ( some delay due to the weather) I was at work when the job was done, but the yard and driveway were left immaculate. Hartz did a wonderful job sealcoating the edges,and the finish on the blacktop is so smooth it looks like glass, amazing not a bristle mark on the entire drive. The day the work was done, a short stray shower appeared two hours after the seal was done, to my surprise they showed up later that day to make sure the job wasn't ruined by the rain. They did the Seal Coating of the Black Top Driveway last year. I called them and got an estimate. Since they did it last year I knew they did quality work, and at the best price. I always get several bids, and get the Ok from the other 4 neighbors. It has been a raining spring and we have to have it done on certain days because of Garbage day, getting the cans to the street and back. Thet were very good at working with me on that, and letting me know when they could come out to do the work, They prepped the drive one day, filled cracks, and seal coated the next day. The driveway looks great and I know they use top quality products.

Responsive with professional bid. Once contracted, called to update us on schedule and what to expect. Very accommodating of our plans and working around some rainy weather. Cleaned driveway surface and prepared edges by edging back grass and some ivy. Applied crack sealer and marked driveway entrance to let us know they'd completed the first step. Returned next day as agreed and completed the sealcoat application. Smooth application. No splashes on edges, garage door, concrete walkway, or grass. Left no trash, tracks, or other evidence they were ever there. Got a great looking driveway. Highly recommend Hartz!

An onsite estimate was made promptly following my request. A coordination of Hartz schedule, my schedule and the weather resulted in satisfactory timing of the work. Everything went well and the work was done efficiently and accurately.

The six-person crew worked diligently to clean the driveway in its entirety, and side-trenched a small portion to improve drainage. The bid estimated about a dozen cracks to fill, but Hartz ended up filling more than three times that many as a result of the recent severe winter. Care was taken to insure full and complete coverage, and not to slop any crack-filler or sealcoating onto four abutting concrete pavement areas. All hair-line cracks and surface irregularities are covered uniformly, with no skips or bubbles. Communications throughout the process of inspection, bidding, scheduling, and execution were excellent, and the three shared owners were able to co-operate with Hartz to get an excellent job.

So before I get started, I should probably explain that my driveway was deteriorating and in very bad condition. I'm talking a lot of deep cracks that wouldn't be able to be fixed just by applying a little sealant. In fact Hartz recommended I get the driveway resurfaced and not just resealed (and rightly so!). I got a quote and looked into resurfacing (by another company) and found out it was going to be $5-$6K. Wow! I was just hoping to make the driveway look a little better before I sell next year and that wasn't going to work with my budget. Came back to Hartz and asked if they would still seal it anyway. They said yes and I'm very happy with the result. I nice thick even coating of sealant all the way around, and they did a very good job at making the edges perfectly even. But I think the thing I most impressed about is that edged my entire driveway and removed the existing weeds. Obviously the deeper cracks are still visible but for the price I would say the driveway looks about 100% better. Thank you Hartz! Oh one more thing, a lot of the top rated companies on Angie's list seem too busy to call you back or return your emails. Not Hartz! Whether I called or emailed they always responded.
