His estimate was not efficient. He didn't include all of the work that would be needed. I felt that there would be continued addional costs if he didn't identify up front. He wasn't thorough in his estimate. The labor for the quote was $400.00. He didn't specify all of the materials that would be needed. He didn't address certain labor, parts, or materials for the entire job. It was very incomplete and open ended. Rather than give me a complete quote, he kept repeating that he was trying to save me money. He assumed that I was going to do some of the work myself. I continuously asked him for a complete quote and it became a very circular conversation. If I knew someone that was looking for a quote I would tell them to make sure he specified every single component and all the labor. I would advise someone to tell him that you want him to do the entire job if that is what you desire. If you don't, he will piece meal the job and you won't know that he isn't doing certain parts if you aren't thorough in your discussion. He was punctual and his personality was never an issue. He has done painting work for me in the past that turned out good, and it started to deminish with this quote.

Bud (Louis) was on the job every day by 8:30am, and stayed until 4:30pm. The job went pretty well, but there were some delays with rain. The paint estimate was off, almost twice the amount quoted was needed due to the age of the house and condition of the cedar siding. Bud is very conscientious almost all of the time. He is very detail oriented, and pays attention to details such as clean up.
