Matt and his team were amazing from the very start until the very end. They were on-time and his guys were extremely professional. They all took their time and made sure they moved and covered everything before painting, the job was what you'd expect from a professional crew and then some. I am so glad we ended up going with Mr. Paint.

We gave you your estimate, then waited 1 week like we do with every customer. We left a message for you and never received a call back. I'm sorry you didn't receive message. You were never signed up or had a signed contract with our company.

Contracter were polite and worked steadily. The painting was acceptable, although, not up to the quality I would have done myself. I've always done my own work, & repared the walls (patching & smoothing flaws) before painting. None of this was done. The big problem is the ceilings. The man that evaluated the work said they would replace seam tape. The worker patched everything & all of it has re opened. I called in Dec. to go on record that someone needed to come out. I said , I would like them to wait until after the 1st of the year to come back. I have not heard from them.

Response from Mr. Paint LLC
During the initial estimate I explained to the customer that because her kitchen ceiling all ran together with most rest of the house that if we repaired the ceiling properly by removing all the tape and re-texture it, that we would have to paint the entire ceiling, she told us that she didn't want to have to pay for the entire ceiling to be painted. We told her that we could put tape glue on it to reattach the tape so it wouldn't show and also told her it was not a permanent fix. As far as patching walls we did all patching that she expressed she needed done but because her walls were so damaged that it would take longer and more attention to make close to perfect, she told us that just fixing what she asked for was acceptable. We did job as she asked and stayed on budget and even got a satisfaction sign off from her that she was very pleased.

I wouldn't use Mr. Paint again or recommend the company. Firstly, the office manager is very unprofessional. She wrote down our phone number and address incorrectly multiple times resulting in missed appointments. She also lost paperwork for the estimate. She frequently did not return calls in a timely manner. Matt was more personable and responsive, but ultimately the job was not done satisfactorily. Parts of the job that we expected to be done weren't completed. They never re-hung the porch swing. They completed missed some areas. The whole thing was challenging.

THE [remove member name]FAMILY HIRED US TO PAINT ONLY PART OF A RENTAL HOME. THERE WAS A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM BECAUSE WE WERE ORIGINALLY COMMUNICATING WITH MRS. [remove member name]AND LEAVING MESSAGES ON A HOME PHONE NUMBER WHICH WAS GIVEN TO US BY MRS. [remove member name], LATER WE RECEIVED A DIFFERENT NUMBER FOR MR. [remove member name]. WHILE WE WERE FINISHING UP THE JOB, MRS. [remove member name]ASKED IF WE WERE GOING TO PAINT THE FRONT PORCH AREA WHICH WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT. WE INFORMED THEM THAT WE CAN AND WOULD DO IT BUT THERE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR THAT AREA TO BE COMPLETED. WE OFFERED THEM A DISCOUNTED PRICE SINCE WE WERE STILL ON SITE. THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THAT AREA WAS A SEPARATE PRICE BUT SAID TO GO AHEAD AND DO THAT AREA ALSO. WE FINISHED THE COMPLETE JOB AND THEY TOLD US THEY WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE JOB AND PAID US. A FEW DAYS LATER THEY CALLED US SAYING THERE WERE A FEW SPOTS THAT NEEDED TO BE TOUCHED UP. WE PROMPTLY WENT BACK AND DID ALL THE TOUCH UP'S AND THEY SAID THEY WERE VERY SATISFIED.

Matt was very personable and professional from our first conversation. He turned around the estimate quickly to refinish our dated, honey oak cabinets, and was provided a high level of detail for my wife and I of what to expect. Mr. Paint refinished our oak cabinets to an antique white and they look fantastic. Approximately 6 months later and the finish has held well and the look is absolutely stunning. For this low cost, Matt also installed all new oil-rubbed bronze hardware for us. My wife and I couldn't be happier about the work they did for us and would absolutely use them for any interior or exterior painting or refinishing job. Thanks, Mr. Paint!

Unbelievably Positive Experience! I was hesitant to commit to a full remodel on my small cottage but from his initial visit through to the end of the project Matt honored my concerns and ensured that all my questions were answered before any work was done. He engaged an architect to detail two separate drawings of the proposed work during the estimate. That was a strong selling point and i opted to take Matt's proposal over two others. Within two weeks of the agreement the team began the teardown. Prior to the first day Matt explained the impact of the moves and the timing for all of his projected phases. That helped manage my expectations. What surprised me the most though was the commitment of his team to cleaning up everything - day in and day out. I never worried about coming home to a mess or damage. Each of the team members -- plumber, electrician, cabinet maker, painters, flooring, carpet installers, backsplash, counters and concrete bar, siding repair were genuinely interested in helping me understand their processes and next steps. Most importantly each of them were passionate about the work they were doing and committed to excellence in the outcomes. Matt's customer service and customer service expectations from his team was refreshing and impeccable. He would email quick notes on the next scheduled day activities including start times and who would be doing what work. He was creative in problem solving changes that occurred unexpectedly - for example one of the critical changes was taking out the door and replacing with a window. There was a minor misread on the new window placement that would have caused issues with new cabinets fitting properly. As soon as it was discovered Matt changed his schedule; arranged for he and the window installer to redo the entire window design the next evening. This allowed the cabinet designer and installer to maintain their scheduled work as well. I enjoyed the creative spirit that Matt and his team brought to the table as well. Though I had ordered quartz countertops i was hesitant in my commitment them to them before they were ordered. Concerned that I would not be happy long term, Matt took the time to question exactly what my reasons were for quartz and in the process challenged me to reconsider laminate. In the end i elected to go with the laminate countertops and have not been at all disappointed. in addition Matt introduced me to concrete countertops which i chose to use for the bar and incorporate my stone carving chips into the design. I would highly recommend Matt and his team and have already contracted to have his company remodel my garage for a stone carving studio.

Awful. I paid top dollar and expected top service. Not what was delivered. Matt did not listen to the color or the specs regarding the wood work and whined about how much work he would have to re- do. So I just paid him and sent him packing. Poor choice! Never again. ALSO: They crushed the dryer vent hose which took me three days to figure out why my clothes were not drying.
Description of Work: The job was to paint 3 rooms and a hallway, plus the trim in the entire condo

First of all when I came out to [Member name removed] home to give him an estimate he walked me around and said you I just want a fresh coat on everything no color change what so ever. I put everything in a contract like I always do explaining what was to be done. After completing the job he tells me I was to paint all the trim white not keep the same color like what was written in the contract he also said I wasn't supposed to paint his bathroom which also was stated in the contract to do, I'm sorry [Member] didn't explain himself well and wanted me to redo job that he didn't pay for, I explained it to him and he said it was ok. Also I took pictures of his broken dryer tube but after the disagreement on the job I forgot to tell him, that was my fault. But paint job was done very nicely and professionally, but I only perform the duties that I lay out in writing in the contract, I also told him I would replace his dryer tube but he refused, as contractor's we can only do so much for customers that are unwilling, and again I want to make clear my job was done very neatly and professional.

The short story is that after receiving a quote for $3400 and putting 20% down, Mr. Paint started work and power washed different areas of the house. They then notified me the price would be $6200 if I wanted the job finished and refused to refund the full 20% down. The details: Getting a quote and getting work started seemed to go well. They called 3 days prior to work start to notify me and to get my stain and paint colors (for the house and for the doors). The day work was to start, two guys showed up in a sedan with a folding ladder and an electric pressure washer. Since the house is 27 feet and their ladder was 12 feet tall, they worked for about and hour and left to get better equipment. A few hours later (now afternoon), I called Mr. Paint and asked what was going on and they had no idea their workers had even left the jobsite. They returned within the hour, now driving a Mr. Paint van and wearing Mr. Paint t-shirts (they both had on old ripped shirts before). This time they had a 22 foot ladder, still not tall enough but I figured power washing was more than a one day job anyway. I left for work knowing they were setup and finally started. Later that afternoon I got a call from the secretary telling me there is an issue and to call Matt. He won't answer his phone and his voice mail is full, but you can call the secretary and she will tell him to call you, and he might. He let me know that my house needed a "power stripping" not a "power washing" that was on the quote and that would be more expensive. He said they had had some problems with the person who gave me my quote and he would rework it and have the secretary call me, which she did. The cost went from $3400 (signed quote) to $6200. I refused and demanded my deposit back. She had to check with Matt, after some back and forth, she told me she would mail the check for my deposit but I asked to come get it. When I came in to get the check, as I was walking in, I saw Matt hop into a car and leave, the secretary said "he is very busy", it was obvious he was trying to avoid me. I opened the envelop to find that the check was short $200. She said Matt told her to keep that amount for their work. I let her know that I would file with the BBB and I was going to file a dispute with the credit card agency if I had not received the final $200 by tomorrow. She contacted me later that day letting me know I could pick up the remaining amount. I wanted to wait until I could write the review objectively and had the house stained before I reviewed Mr. Paint, which I have.
Description of Work: Contract was to pressure clean and stain entire body of house includes: back deck, front deck, small shed, all facia, front door, side door and trim Back door trim only Customer will choose their own color stain and choose paint for doors

Wow I am completely blown away by [removed member's name] review, being that is almost completely false. [removed member's name] had told my salesmen when he went out to his home that he had just wanted his house power washed and restained. When my guys started on his home he asked my guys why they were not removing all the old stain, the original price was for 3400.00 that is correct but for cleaning the house and staining. [removed member's name] then changed his story and said no I wanted house striped which is a lengthy and completely different process, more time equals more money. [removed member's name] was on the phone with my abd new what the cost difference would be he just told me he feels it was too much, even though all the quotes he received were for the same higher amount. I told him I would send his money back minus the day labor my guys were there. After he received his refund he completely flipped out, so not wanting to go into battle over 200.00 with a customer I decided to give all his money back. Im sorry that some customers want things for nothing, but if yiu change the scope of work then the price of the job increases too.

Our experience with Mr. Paint was awesome! We were able to have someone out at our house almost immediately to give us a quote. Mr. Paint gave us suggestions on which type of paint to get (since we were going to buy our own) and they also told us we didn't need to paint our ceilings since they were in good shape (we appreciated the honesty and not trying to sell us something we didn't need). Once we got a quote, which we thought was very reasonable for the amount of work we were going to have done, Mr Paint was available to start on the project within a couple days. Note that we are willing to pay a little higher price if we are going to get higher quality work done quickly. When the painters came out to the house on the first day, they were very polite and made a point to introduce us to their crew so that we felt comfortable who was going to be in our house. The main painter was great communicating with us throughout the day to let us know where things stood and if there were any questions. At the end of the first day we received a phone call from the Mr. Paint office to check in to see if we were happy with our first day. We appreciated the high level of customer service and knowing that the company wanted us to be happy with the results. The painters finished pretty much on schedule (with the exception of having to come out for a couple extra hours to complete the final touchups). We know our project was tough as we had a room with 18-foot ceilings and a lot of edging that needed done and Mr. Paint and crew did an awesome job with it. We are extremely pleased with the result. At the end of the project the Manager of Mr. Paint came out to perform a final walk through with us to ensure we were completely satisfied, which we really like that added step and assurance. We also got a call from the main office to ensure we were 100% happy with the project results. Overall, Mr. Paint was very professional, had outstanding customer service and produced a high quality end result. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for painters and we will definitely use them again for any future painting needs. They were worth every penny.
