Home Appliance is a very ethical company. There was a mistake made in the model refrigerator that was delivered. The refrigerator we wanted had water in the door, the one that was delivered did not and we didn't catch it until after it was installed. They replaced the refrigerator the following week. The crew that installed the refrigerator was very careful not to damage the flooring or the walls when they removed our old refrigerator and put in the new one. In the past we have purchased a glass top range from them and we also have called them to service our dishwasher. I have even bought appliance parts from them. I have been very satisfied with the products I bought and the service I have received. Additionally their prices our comparable to the big box stores. My wife and I like to support local businesses so we will continue to patronize them in the future..

My salesperson was Steve. He was very good. I would probably give him an 'A.' I happened to go in another day and there was a woman that waited on me. She was not helpful. In fact, she gave me false information and I was kind of upset. I can't remember what her names was. When they came to deliver and hook it up, I went from gas switching to electric and they said, "Well, we don't have a cap for it." They didn't come prepared to cap it off and I had made it clear that I was switching from gas to electric. They had to switch the door from one side to the other to open up correctly, which was fine but they charged me extra for that, for switching the door, which I think is ridiculous. I had to run to Lowe's and get some kind of sealant because they didn't have a cap. I had to run and get some kind of a cap, to seal it off and then I had to buy this sealant and I thought, "I don't know what I'm doing." I'm going to give them a 'C' for installation, because that's a huge thing, to have those guys come unprepared like that. I'm a single woman and then I had to push the thing back. I ended up having to call my handyman to make sure I had it screwed on tight enough and then, had to put that seal on it. I thought they should have come prepared, I shouldn't have had to do that. That could have caused a gas leak and everything. The salesman was very good at calling me back. Punctuality wasn't a problem, I think they came on time. I'm less likely to go with them, only due to the hook up situation with the gas line. Who needs that?

Description of Work: One of the saleswomen gave me some false information. She told me I could only order a scratch and dent model. So, Steve waited on me. He was able to get me the dryer I wanted. He clarified I could get the new model. They have a lovely show room. Steve is why I kept my business there. He was not pushy he had good information.

We scheduled a service repair for a Whirlpool refrigerator, because it was not cooling. The technician was prompt and came out the next day. That's when the problems began: 1. Although their website says they are an authorized Whirlpool service provider, and the refrigerator was under warranty, HAS could not complete the repair, because it wasn't purchased from them. It would have been nice to have been informed of this when making the appointment and BEFORE writing $70 check for the service call. 2. The HAS repairman diagnosed the problem as an and quot;internal system leakand quot; and advised us to contact Whirlpool directly, because the refrigerator needed a new compressor. He also informed us that and quot;this was a major repair which would take hours to complete.and quot; 3. Since HAS couldn't perform the repair anyway, we contacted Whirlpool and found a authorized service provider who told us there was not a leak, the compressor was fine, and the refrigerator had to simply be reset. The new repairman unplugged it for 10 minutes plugged it back in and it's been working fine since. Apparently, this problem is quite common when a refrigerator is left unplugged for a few days or more.

Description of Work: purchased a refrigerator. 6 mo. later the unit was not working properly. They sent their own repairman, who promptly showed and replaced the main circuit board. The same problem occurred again several weeks later. They again replaced the circiut board and the unit has been fine since.
