Alex's Pro Painting Service

We paid for this service in the fall. Unfortunately because of the cold weather that hit so early, they had to postpone it and come out in the spring. They called when the weather broke and came out a day later to complete the work.

Because of the weather, it was a challenge to set up a time for the service but the company did a great job staying in touch with me and working through the weekend to make sure that the work was done before I was scheduled to begin painting. Both the owner and his wife were very responsive and professional. The work was done on time and he also power washed some outdoor wicker furniture for us at no additional charge. The work was very well done and he provided some tips that would make painting that much easier and more professional-looking. I was very happy with the investment.

Alex and his crew are excellent! They were right on time...did an awesome job and left the house clean. They are coming bakc to do more work....looking forward to it...

It went well. He did it well and explained everything to me when he was done.

The work was good and the service was very professional. The price was more than I thought it should have been (I had one coat on the exact same area painted 15 months prior for less that half what this cost) and I probably would not have bought the deal had I known it would take two coats and amounting to such increased work and cost going in. The estimate for the amount of paint also left me with over two gallons I can't return, although I was able to get it using their discount. Bottom line - great work and service, but I don't think the price was much of a discount/deal.

It is a large room with many nooks and crannies. He repaired damaged walls around the windows and cracks in the ceiling. He painted a large amount of trim and book cases. Alex is a perfectionist. The room looks amazing. I would definitely use him again and recommend him. He is friendly, professional and responsive. I will be calling him to paint my kitchen soon. His assistant Amanda was very nice, easy to work with and friendly too. I am very happy with my purchase.

I wish Angie’s list would allow for +/- designations, because while there were a few minor issues that kept us from rating our overall experience an A, as a whole, we were pleased with the service that Alex, Amanda, and crew provided, and would rate them an A-/B+. In late April we purchased the big deal for 40 man hours of exterior painting, and Amanda contacted us right away to schedule the consultation. During the appointment we were looking for guidance on what shingles needed to be replaced, crew and hours that it would take to complete the job, and materials needed. Alex had his Sherwin Williams rep, who was more familiar with cedar shake, come over the following week to assess the type and condition of the shingles and to provide guidance on materials. Amanda followed up with the quote, and we found it somewhat vague regarding scope of work, estimated hours and material costs. We had the option of purchasing the materials using their Sherwin Williams discount or Alex purchasing and including in the bill – we chose the second option. I replied via email requesting a more detailed breakdown of how the pre-purchased hours would be applied and the additional cost breakdown, as well as deposit/payment terms. It took a little back and forth to make sure we were all on the same page, and the follow-up quote was much clearer. Due to schedule conflicts, poor weather for painting, and a miscommunication on start date, we didn't get started until late September. There were primarily two men working on the project, so it took about five weeks to complete, with some down days. There is one small job that had to be postponed until spring, but overall they did a nice job, our house looks much better, and Amanda and Alex were pleasant and easy to work with. The few areas for improvement are in terms of communication on when the crew will or will not be working and a little more attention to clean up. There were times when trash, cigarette butts, or water bottles were left on the ground, or items that were moved weren't put back, but again the overall project, which was quite extensive, went well.

The service turned out very well. They did a very professional job.

Went ok. Hired him for one more day which was 373. I had to buy the paint and they sent me an email saying 10 gallons of flat which was 373 but when they left I have 2 5 gallon buckets that were barely used and that wasted my money which I didn't appreciate. He also said he would do the handrails when walking around doing the estimate and then wanted to charge me extra that day so I did it myself. Nice guy but needs to get more professional about estimating. Whole thing cost me $1000 and I think it was too much with the wasted paint. Live and learn.

I called and I never received any communication from them. Normally the providers try to schedule appointments and I got nothing. I expected some sort of communication from them.

Alex was absolutely wonderful in providing us with a beautiful new guest room. He went above and beyond to insure our satisfaction. This poor ugly room in our very old house had been neglected for years, and was in desperate need of extensive damage repair, prep and painting. Alex was on time, organized, efficient and he maintained a clean/protected workspace throughout the entire process.He did much more than originally estimated just to make everything perfect. I highly recommend Alex, and we will most definitely be hiring him for any/all our future painting needs.

Some problem with taking the leaves off my property. The company bagged them in large black bags and left them on my front lawn. My city does not pick up leaves that are in large black bags. So, I had no way of getting the leaves off my property. I was forced to unbag 17 large bags of leaves and stuff the leaves into garbage cans. I am an old guy and this was extremely difficult.

He was prompt and gave me the full 8 hours of the Angie's list deal I paid for.

Weather held them off for a long time, but they were very good about letting us know what was going on. Some overspray because we live in a high wind area but they came back and took care of most of it, on their own, without us asking. Very nice workers; owner is great. Would use again for our next painting project!

I had a bit of a hard time scheduling. I asked that they give me advance notice before arriving. However, they did not and as a result, when he arrived, he could not access the water outlet in the garage as I was not home. This meant that the front of the house was not thoroughly washed. They also charged an additional $100 as my house was slightly larger than the deal had stated.

It was very good. These people are great. Alex is really nice and informative.

The service provided to me by Alex's Pro Painting Service went fairly well for us. They took their time. They actually came back a few times, because the weather was questionable. They made sure they got it done right. Their persistence and attention to detail was good. They did quite a bit of clean-up, when they were done washing. I liked that they kept me informed as to why they couldn't work on a particular day. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to check my Angie's List messages to communicate with them. They had written to me by Angie's messages the same day I bought the Big Deal, but I wasn't aware that I was supposed to be checking my messages there, and it led to a little delay. They came here, got the job done and responded every time they said they'd respond.

I purchased this for my daughter-in-law. She was happy with the service and the results. The house looks good.

Showed up on time did a fair job. The house looked much better when he finished. There was one spot I had. To go over, and he left some trash in the back.

The weather played a factor in the delay, but they were very professional and kept me in the loop with the schedule. | | | |

since my house is a ranch and small, they were kind enough to agree to also do my 3 stall detached garage.

They were all A's, they just showed up and did a great job.

They were on time. Good experience, we are very happy.

Gutter-cleaning job was rescheduled several times due to cold weather. Throughout, their nice scheduling-lady called me multiple times to work out a time. Finally they did schedule for late Friday 11/22. But they arrived after dark, and after I had decided that they were not able to come. So, I did not see their work performed. But it seems they did clean the gutters -- in the dark. In the future, I would start by scheduling for earlier in November to allow for more slippage.

Scheduling was easy, I called to make the appointment and they were able to fit me in when I wanted. They were running behind, the lady in the office called and let me know they would be late. I called her back because I needed to leave the house and they had not yet arrived, as soon as I hung up the phone the technicians were at my home. The technician who I came to the door was nice and polite. Two technicians completed the service in about twenty minutes. They offered to take the leaves with them for an additional $6, I told them they could leave the bags and they asked me where the best place to leave them would be.
