ABC Insulation

We were very pleased with the gentleman. There were no additional charges. He was very honest. He really took the time to inspect all the aspects. If we need insulation, we would call him.

He came out to my property and the work needing done would have been more expensive than the deal that I purchased.

tSteve provided a list of needed insulation sites with associated costs to do the work. He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He told me that I should explore an energy audit with Columbia Gas to see if I qualify for a rebate which he told me would be significant because of the size of my house. The cost of the audit would be $50 but well worth it even if somewhat redundant. This, of course, was a valuable piece of information but meant that Steve might not get the job because he was not on the list of providers Columbia Gas mandates in order to receive the rebate. I called Columbia's required Conservation Services Group to set up an energy audit and discovered that 2 of the providers on their required list are Angies List straight A providers. I scheduled the audit for 3/25/2014 , so this story is not over. The important part is that Steve Spaeth is a terrific specialist who puts his customer ahead of a potential big job in order to better serve them. I haven't concluded the process, but ABC Insulation is high on my list for any furture jobs. I would like to point out that it is well worth Columbia Gas subscribers' time and money to explore their rebate program. I would not have known about this program without the generosity of Steve Spaeth. The $49 I paid him was worth every penny.

ABC Insulation helped me out tremendously! Our pipes were freezing on a consistent basis this winter. Every contractor we brought in had a different idea about why they were freezing and struggled coming up with a solution. ABC came to gave us a quote and knew exactly how to solve the problem. They were extremely helpful and very professional. It was -2 degrees earlier this week and we did not have any frozen pipes! Thanks, ABC.

Provider offered an Angie's List Special for the evaluation. This, of course, is a foot in the door offer to make contact with a possible customer. The Service Technician did a great job showing me where heat loss was happening with a temperature scanner. He followed this up by checking out my attic to give me an estimate for additional insulation to improve weather tightness in cold weather. It was a very competent experience presenting the facts with no hard sell. I have the estimate and I am considering having the work done.

Steve and his crew showed up on time, were professional, explained what they were going to do for us and cleaned up nicely when they were done. We couldn't have expected anything more. Plus, my home is considerably warmer than it used to be.

Better than possible! He was great. I appreciated the fact that he was so thorough. There was also a 10% discount service.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List for energy evaluation, but I came to know that if I get 10 bags or more from another company I could get the machine for free and I had my son do it. The ABC guy walked around my whole house looking at the machine. My house was built in 1991, actually there was only one spot where I had heat loss and that was because I had a leak from a toilet up above it and it washed out the insulation. Everything else looked good. I did need to add some insulation above out my garage, that roof is over part of the family room down back and I had a little heat loss around the edges of that room and that is the one I had my son come out and do. My upstairs attic, the main roof and everything looked good so I did not even have to do anything up in there. He did not charge me anything more than the big deal purchase. I called him and he called me right back and came out within a couple of days. He was a nice guy. When I did that deal for $45 my main concern was how to go around with the little machine and look for heat loss and that was pretty much my main concern. He responded real quick, came right out and took his time went around my whole house and I walked around with him and he showed me everything. It worked good for me for $45, it was a good deal. If my son would not had come out here and do it I would have had him do the job. He gave me a price to do the garage and my upper attic. So, if I did have him come out I would have had him just do the garage.

Steve and his crew where here on time-explained and completed the job. Cleaned up after themselves. They also offered to help me with my radiators.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was wonderful. They did really good. The cleanup was very nice. They were very efficient and very honest. I paid an extra $800 for the insulation. I think the price was reasonable but I didn't shop around. He knew what he was talking about so he had great knowledge.

Timely service and knowledgeable. He even identified an energy audit opportunity with my gas utility that will get me a $400 rebate from them.

Steve gave us a very affordable estimate and explained exactly what services would be performed. He and his crew showed up on time at 9:00 am on the agreed service date and worked until around 4:00 pm. Everything went very well, his workers were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. It was a great overall experience and money well spent.

He was nice and has been in business for a long time. I have a small house and he want to charge me over a $1000.00 to insulate it. I think that is to much.

After a telephone conservation, I scheduled ABC to provide blown-in insulation in the attic space of my home. The did an excellent job at a very fair price. Based I this experience, I had them return and insulate the exterior walls again with same professional results. |Would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to have insulation services!

Steve was great from start to finish. During the insulation evaluation he was informative and helpful, explaining things as he went. He provided a detailed estimate and offered multiple options to help reduce the overall cost. When we decided to go ahead with insulating the attic he was available within the week. Steve arrived right on time and began work immediately. The job took between three and four hours and Steve kept us informed every step along the way. Steve and his associates were professional and courteous throughout the process. I plan on using ABC Insulation in the future as our home needs a little more work.

Service was excellent. Punctual, detailed. Left no mess. Blown in insulation into attic space. Showed me the work when completed. Explained everything. Reasonable pricing. Scheduled promptly. Pleasant installer.

We scheduled the date more than a month in advance. Without prompting, he arrived as scheduled on that date and on time. He had a crew of three with him and got to work right away. A couple of hours later, the job was done. It's amazing the difference in the feel of interior of the house now that it's properly insulated. True professionals at a reasonable price. I was so impressed, that I referred ABC to a friend and they did his job as well.

Amazing work. Total professionals. Best part is the Dominion good cents program, I'll receive $600 dollars back after the rebate. Bringing my total cost down to $1260. Which is excellent for a whole house insulation project. Work did not include the attic.

The job went perfect and was completed. I received a 50.00 referral which I asked Steve to take off her bill. Again Steve's crew came through perfectly. We now have had two homes insulated by the same company and glad we used our choice of contractors. It was right for us.Personal

October 29, Steve arrived at 9am as stated. They set up and started the job immediately. Steve discussed the plan to his crew and everyone did what was necessary. The work was completed to my satisfaction. I recommended ABC to my Sister who's house from 1957 needs attic insulation. Steve drove over to meet me there after completing this jobsite and provided a quote. My Sister reviewed her quote and accepted it. Friday 11/1 will be her installation. Steve mentioned her walls already being lined with glass wool that he would come out and insulate one wall at a time when we ever get ready to paint any wall or room. He will work from the inside to insulate them further. HE was willing to accept that small of a job. Great company and crew !

Steve and his crew actually arrived early for the appointment. They completed the entire job in one day. Their cost for the job came in well below another estimate that I received and he applied the Angie's List member discount. They cleaned up the carpet and other areas, after the installation was complete. Steve and his crew were very professional. Also, Steve completed all the forms that are required for the DEO Rebate program, Angie's List and my income tax credit. I would definitely use their services in the future, as needed.

They came as promised, were a pleasure to deal with, found that space would take more insulation than expected. The company filled to maximum capacity and only charged original quite. Would only call them in the future
