ABC Insulation

It went very well. He took my measurements of the house to determine what the price was and when he got there, he said that’s the price, and of course my measurements were accurate but the fact that he trusted me to make the right measurements. He recommended that I do the overhangs as well and he said he could do it for $200 and he did all the overhangs and we had a terrific change in the temperature of our house after that was done, especially during the cold winter the following year. He showed up on time, had a crew to do it, there was no mess and everything was cleaned up afterwards and he was in the house only for a couple of hours. He was very good. The pricing was very fair. I saw the materials he was using and the quality of the work he did was very good. He answered my phone the first time, he gave me a quote the first time and he showed up when he said he would show up and did the job. He showed up right on time. He knew exactly what he was doing. I have already recommended him to friends.

Everything went as expected. The contractor handled everything very professionally and exactly as he described. When finished, the contractor cleaned-up such that work area was as clean as before they started. I couldn't be happier with the services performed and the people who performed them.

On the original work day, Steve had accidentally overbooked his time. Ironically, he was working on another home in the same neighborhood as our and the owner had my same name as well. This most likely is what had led to the overbooking. We eventually spoke on the phone and worked out what had happened and scheduled a time the following week to come back to our home. He had promised us to "make it right." Fast forward to today, Steve's crew has just left and the job has been completed, the crew cleaned up after themselves and explained what they did in the attic to my wife (who was home) before they left. Due to the inconvenience of the reschedule, Steve offered to knock $200 off the already discounted (AL discount) price he quoted. Overall we are happy now with ABC's work and professionalism due to the manner of how he "made it right" for us. Thank you ABC Insulation!

Steve and his crew were great! Very professional, did great work, and explained everything that was done. All the men were kind and did a great job. Will use Steve in the future and would encourage anyone to go with ABC insulation. His price was reasonable. He even told me about an energy assessment to save money. Thanks!

Arrived on time and performed the work very well. All workers were polite and professional. Price was fair.

Steve came out and took a look at my current situation, gave me an estimate, then scheduled a date and came back on that date and installed new insulation... pretty much what they are supposed to do. I've never had a single problem with a company on Angie's List and that didn't change here. They were scheduled for 8:30am and they arrived at 8:31am, doesn't get much better than that. They were finished by noon. I felt somewhat bad because I made it just about as hard as possible for them to do their work, but they were great sports. My basement alone looked like Chernobyl, but that didn't stop them from getting into all the nooks and crannies. I really don't know how they managed to get some of the insulation in there. The air conditioner is definitely turning on less than it was before, so that part worked out pretty well. I expect it will do more in winter. Overall, I was very happy, they were even below the expected price. Steve's the man, give him a call. Update - 9/29: So recently the weather dipped pretty low and we had to use the furnace for the first time. The house was very cold, below 60. We lit the pilot lightturned the furnace on and the house was warm in seconds compared to what could be over an hour before. It only came back on one more time all night. This is while its was in the low 50s outside, but still, definitely much better.

A.B.C Insulation is a family owned company. They took so much pride in their work and were helpful in that they directed us to do a money saving inspection by Dominion gas which was so worth the time and effort. They were professional from start to finish. They educated us as to what was needed, where it was needed and were extremely honest. They use a environmentally friendly product which is exactly what homeowners should select. It was an absolute pleasure working with them and I would honestly use them again if the opportunity presented itself and would refer them to friends and family.

It was great being able to see exactly where there are deficiencies in my insulation around the house. Great tool that thermal scan or whatever it's called!

He was great! He showed up on time, had the necessary tools and was able to do the inspection. He gave me information on a program through the Illuminating company where you have an energy audit done and the if you have certain work done to the house you can get rebates on the work. We had the energy audit done and have decided to hire ABC Insulation to insulate the house.

The provider has great customer service skills and contacted me promptly after I purchased the deal. I would love to have worked with him but the deal I purchased didn't cover the service I wanted.

I wasnt able to get the services completed due extra costs at the moment. However he was great. He called immediately and came over the same day to do an estimate. He was very polite and thorough and explained everything. He didnt try to pressure me and he understood. He was very pleasant!

Steve ( the owner) called a few days before appointment to confirm appointment date & time. On scheduled day, Steve, and three team members arrived exactly on time. Everyone was friendly, and thoughtful, with positive attitudes, and they all worked well together. I had several very large, heavy boxes up in the attic, and when I asked Steve if they could bring them down from the attic, they did so without complaint. When job completed, Steve showed me the finished product, and I then asked for a little more storage space, so the guys willingly rearranged the insulation to create the additional, easily accessible space.. When finished, they vacuumed the carpeting, leaving no trace of insulation behind. I am very pleased with the work done by Steve and his team. Their business card says A.B.C Insulation (Always Be Comfortable ) I was comfortable with these men working in my home; comfortable and pleased with their work, and am sure I will be more comfortable in my home in summer and winter, with the additional insulation, ventilation, and covered staircase. They did work for $350 minimum price. Quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professional were excellent. I would use them again.

I originally purchased this service through an Angies’ List Big Deal but the service ended up costing me much more than the Big Deal price.

My experience was excellent. They did the job well and completed the work quickly.? They were able to resolve our problem and we noticed a difference in the insulation. There were a couple of guys here doing the work and scheduling was good.?They offered a much lower cost solution over other companies. I was happy with their service.

I felt we paid a lot of money just to get an inspection. It was not worth what we paid for. Scheduling was fine and he was really nice to work with. I liked that it is a family owned company.

Our house is 23 years old and he found that a lot of the fiberglass insulation had settled & some of the cardboard baffles had sagged, compressing the insulation underneath. He recommended adding additional insulation (including insulation for the whole-house fan & attic access panel). Steve also noticed an unusual amount of moisture in our attic. He recommended routing the bath room fan exhausts to the outside, since they are currently only vented in to the attic. He also recommended replacing our roof ridge vent since this was likely the cause of the moisture not being vented properly. This, however, would need to be done by a roofing contractor. I will probably have Steve perform all of the improvements that he recommended.

Was not able to do what the Big Deal is for due to the weather but he was very honest and nice.

It went pretty good. I spent above the big deal price because I actually had the house insulated after they checked it. They were very good. They were on time and professional. They cleaned up and did not leave any mess.

I had him come out and give me an estimate. He was very nice and courteous. He was on time to our appointment as well.

They looked for places where there could be a leakage or losing heat through the insulation. he went up and readjusted some insulation that i had in there. He detected places that had heat insulation. He recommended that i should consider having some blowing insulation over the top of the existing insulation. That was very good. He was very informative and very thorough and did a good job. Once i scheduled it, he came out right away. Responsiveness was excellent.

They were on time and did a great job. Would highly recommend this company.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased for $49. I'm not sure of the final cost; my husband took care of that. It was fine. They did the job quickly and neatly. They were prompt and very efficient. They discussed what needed to take place. They weren't pushy but they had their recommendations on what we needed done.

They didn't tell us forward that they don't take credit cards. They told us the company charges up a fee, a 5% and they said "It's only 700" like I'm rich. He charges with 700 but with that, my mother were going through Angie's List and it was a win-win situation with ABC Insulation. They are very fair and honest. I liked it that he did not just sat down but he stayed on the phone and asked "Can I ask you another question?" He was like "I strongly think that you need insulation and ventilation".

The service was fantastic. They came out and did exactly what they said they would do.
