I had to call them three times about weeds in my front lawn and they never handled it. The third they came out, it was clearly about to downpour, which it did 10 minutes after they "applied" the weed killer. Finally, I went to the store and got a $6.49 bottle of weed spray which completely eradicated the weeds in one easy spray. My yard looked terrible all year. Finally, at the end of the year they sent out notices that said "watch for renewal letters coming soon" or something to that effect. I definitely didn't want to renew due to the poor product but they rolled out in March anyway and threw down some sort of fertilizer application. Then they billed me and when I called to question it they said "it says on the bill that you'll be automatically renewed". The woman in the office then became very rude, yelling at me and saying that I will pay their bill. Now they keep billing and tacking on a $5 invoice fee. I've complained to the BBB and highly recommend you find a service that actually does a good job.

They cut the grass, edge and always clean up the clippings. I will continue to use their services.

I called Meehan to inquire about weekly lawn maintenance. Allison answered the phone and was incredibly polite and very sweet! Sadly the schedule was full, but she offered to put me on a waiting list. I was very impressed with Alisson's professionalism! I'm pretty bummed they can't take on a new weekly client, as it's obvious to me they are a great company. Hopefully I'll get a call back and they can handle my yard!

I requested that they bag the grass clippings as opposed to blowing the clippings and they agreed to do that with no increase in price.

I think 20 + years says it all. Plus they are a locally owned business.

They were very professional. When I had questions and wanted to better understand what they were doing, they were patient and courteous. Their products performed well.

No complaints- responsive to calls

They did not clean up well. There were clippings everywhere. And the lawn looked like the did it very quickly. Not impressed.

We first started using Meehan's at the recommendation of the landscaper who installed the lawn at our home (new construction). They did a really nice job and the lawn continued to fill in and look good. Their price per treatment was very reasonable. We separately engaged them to edge the beds once the lawn was established and they did a great job at a fair price. We'll be continuing with their lawn fertilization service this year and will likely hire them for some other add-on services too, like mulching.

Overall we am reasonably pleased with the service we receive from Meehan's Lawn Service. I believe that my lawn has shown marked improvement since moving my service to Meehan's Lawn Service. The grass appears healthier and looks thicker with better color with fewer spots that appear stressed. It is totally weed free! They are very timely with service calls and always willing to return if there is a concern to correct potential issues (which were rare with the lawn). While we have been very pleased with the results for our lawn, the results for the landscape plants have not been quite as good. We found the applications did not yield the same level of results for our landscape. The plant health did not have the same level of improvement and in fact, at one point in the season appeared to be stressed to a greater degree. Also, the applications were not able to control weeds in our landscape beds. I will say Meehan's did return to reapply weed control when we called to indicate the issue, but it remained an issue for much of the season. As indicated earlier, overall we are pleased with the service and results from Meehan's. We will evaluate the services we receive to maintain the health of our landscape as our experience would indicate there is potential for improvement but the lawn service is very good.

I used there service for many years. on a prepayment plan. this year is 283.20 for six application.

Meehans has been doing my lawn fertilization for about 7 yrs now and I have been very satisfied. I get compliments from passers by and am asked who does the lawn. It is always one of the best in the neighborhood, partly because I take their advice in how to cut the grass, watering suggestions, and having it aereated each year.

Meehans cut my lawn on 5/15/14, this was 9 days after the previous cut. My grass was extremely high about 10 inches. It rained during the cutting and the tech quit and said he'd come back the next day and finish. He did return the next day and finish cutting the lawn. there were areas of my lawn front and rear when he did not overlap the return cut. I had areas that I called rooster tails, portions of the lawn that were not cut. Additionally because the grass was so high, there were clumps of grass everywhere. I called Meehans and told the person who answered the phone, my complaint about the latest lawn cut. I was told a note would be put in the techs box and he'd return to recut the grass. No one has returned to recut my lawn. The clumps of grass have dried and now my lawn looks more brown than green. I have the worst looking lawn on my street. It looks terrible. People walking past my house frequently look at my lawn with disbelief.

It had been a rocky start from the beginning. I had to call them 2 weeks after they fertilized to confirm someone would be out to mow the lawn. By then the lawn was several inches high, but the initial cut was well done. The next two weeks worth of mowing though they left clumps of wet grass and whole spots where they didn't mow. I gave some of this a pass as the weather has been quite wet. Second, they came out for the next fertilization and weed treatment. Upon my arrival home that day, to my absolute shock a number of perennials had been affected by the herbicide. In one case the whole bed of coreopsis was killed, the herb bed was sprayed and the parsley was killed, all throughout the front and backyard plants are now in various stages of death or at least fade and will survive through the season. The company was contacted and they sent their horticulturist out to inspect the damage. They left a note in my door stating someone would be in touch with me about the damaged plants and admitted it was herbicide damage. That was on 5/9/2014, I have not heard from anyone as of 5/13/2014. I sent an email on Monday letting them know there is more plant damage becoming evident. This time there is no response. As a retired Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, I suspect this was either direct overspray or improper concentration of the herbicide. I have since canceled all services. All damage has been photographed and documented.

Today 04/22/2014 was our first service from them. Bobby and Josh did there job answered questions, both were very polite.

After an initial review where I was dissatisfied with the office follow-up, they have gone above and beyond in alleviating the problems. The lawn services and treatments were excellent. The recent office follow-up has been very good.

They are timely and they are professional. I don't need to be here. I know when they are here because they put up lawn signs to notify me that they are coming or that they have been here so that I don't let our pets out. They leave a note to tell me what they did because it is a prepaid service; I pay for it once a year. I have nothing to compare their price with as I used to do it myself. Their quality is very good. If I am not satisfied or if I have a problem like it didn't work or it didn't take; they would come right back and do it again. I don't have any interaction with them but I don't have any problem with their service. I feel like I am getting a little bit better than what I am paying for.

This includes anti-scalping decks, superior vacuum systems to eliminate clumpsand the ability to leave the best lines.and quot; Each week that they mow my lawn, the grass clippings are not vacuumed up leaving loose clippings and clumps of clippings on the surface of my lawn. I have a pet and when he goes outside during the morning hours and there is a dew on the grass, he brings into our home grass clippings. I have grass clippings everywhere but where they are supposed to stay, outside!

Meehan's was chosen from 3 competitive bids for landscaping services. The owner, Keny, was extremely responsive, and his crews did a very good job. They were dependable, and Keny always followed through on suggestions for how to improve the service.

So far it has been great. Just started using them this year. Very professional, on time, efficient. I've already saved THOUSANDS compared to what my bill would have been with my previous landscaper and you can't tell the difference by looking at my yard.

Called for an estimate for clearing an overgrown back yard at my brother's home. I talked with an office person who assured me that they would have somebody stop by and draw up an estimate for the work, I gave her both my cell and home phone numbers since I do not live in Ohio but in Montana so they could call with a price for the work. Never heard from them and it's been a month. Funny part is I would of hired them had I received a response and probably would have used their maintenance services as well. They are very reliable and responsive. They do quality work.

We have been using Meehan's for our lawn fertilization and treatment for over 4 years now. We are very pleased with their services and feel their fees are reasonable. They come regularly about 6x per year and if you have any problems in between their visits, all you need to do is call them and they will come out right away to correct. (any crabgrass dandelions etc). We also like they hand out a newsletter with the bill which has great and informative tips for lawn care etc.They do a great job and we recommend them highly! The cost I listed is approximate per visit.

They are both very professional and highly cost competitive. They also call the day before applying any treatments. I'm not using them this year, however, because I'm trying to do it myself to just see what it's like. If it doesn't work out, I've told Meehan's that I'll be back.

We had to call them to tell them don't come and do the lawn because the other company already did it with the first treatment. Then, for our first treatment of shrug, it was kind of funny because the other company came in the morning and we had called them and we said we canceled with the other company, but they still came to do our lawn, so we don't need you to come do the first treatment and they were wonderful about that. Then, the day they came to do the shrug treatment, it was in the afternoon while the other company had already been there in the morning to do some of the shrug treatment and they noticed the little thing on our door knobs and they ended up calling us and saying that they noticed that the other company had been there in the morning and what they were doing was a different type of treatment and what the other company had done so that it wouldn't interfere or wouldn't harm our plan and they actually took the opportunity to call us and let us know what happened, so that was very good. They prices were lower than the other company.
