Utterly fantastic job. Superior quality. Highly professional. Meticulous attention to all detail. Successful completion of very difficult and challenging removal of load-bearing wall and installation of 23 foot, 800 lb. steel beam. Fantastic job of dry wall work for the beam. Hardwood floors and ceramic time work is great. Beautiful work on backsplash. Excellent work on lighting and all electrical. Superior work on all baseboards and trim. All work was completed on time at a reasonable cost. Jeff is an outstanding craftsman who was willing to put in all of the extra time to get the job done right. He stands behind his work. The highest recommendation for IDS and Jeff. We were so fortunate to find IDS and Jeff. Absolute 5-Star work!!!!

Jeff, from IDS Home Improvement, was responsible for the entire project from start to finish; including, all demolition and electrical work, as well as construction and installation of the family coat cubby itself. Jeff worked with my wife and I to design a functional unit that would meet our needs and did an outstanding job delivering a quality product. He provided excellent suggestions on styles and specific materials to use that would withstand the everyday wear and tear that our family (which includes toddlers), could throw at it. The demolition, patch and tile flooring work was done as quickly as possible and Jeff would clean up his work area every night. A light switch had to be relocated and Jeff of course did this without issue. The bench and individual cubbies were constructed on site (in our garage) and installed once they were all ready. When it came time to permanently install everything, Jeff had a keen eye for detail and did an exceptional job hiding all screws and fasteners, which gave the unit a sleek and beautiful finish. Jeff was extremely professional and personable throughout the entire project. We could not be happier with the final product!
Description of Work: IDS Home Improvement was used to renovate an existing closet into a family coat cubby.

I could not be more happy with Jeff's services. The work he performed was on an investment property, and when our original contractors weren't able to do the job due to scheduling issues, we were lucky to find Jeff on Angie's List. Jeff showed up on time for the estimate meeting, and after letting him know our budget for the project, he was proactive in giving us suggestions on how to schedule and work the project within the budget to achieve what we needed to do. When it came time to actually start the project, he had a great work ethic. He showed up in the morning and worked long days to get the demo and prep work done prior to the delivery of the kitchen cabinets. When the cabinets arrived, he was there to get them installed and completed the project in a timely manner. The project flowed pretty seamlessly. In addition to his own scope of work items, he also kept us informed regarding some concrete work that we had scheduled, and actually saved the garage from being damaged due to some inexperienced laborers trying to lift a slab with a backhoe. Overall great work ethic, communicates well, and very knowledgeable. My company would be happy to see him on another project in the future!
Description of Work: Provided a gut rehab of a small kitchen including kitchen cabinets, gutted a small shower to the studs and installed subway tile, installed new bathroom cabinet, paneling, and other miscellaneous items.

Jeff from IDS Home Improvement was great! He was on-time every day and his estimate of the job cost was right on. His knowledge and expertise were excellent and he was happy to answer any questions while also offering up advice on what would work better for our situation. He never tried to up-sell us on anything because he new, from talking with us, what our goals were and helped lower our cost by finding out what parts of the project we could handle ourselves (painting and trim work). He was all business but at the same time polite, professional and approachable. This bathroom was the last project that we needed to finish before we put our home up for sale. The home lasted one day on the market before we accepted an offer for $10,000 over asking price! Without the polish that this new and improved room added to the listing, I don't believe we would have received such an offer. Thank you, Jeff - great job!

It took two days to do the job. Jeff made some improvements to the deck where the original builder had taken some shortcuts. a structural engineer I hired told me that it would cost $5,000 & heavy equipment to do the job
Description of Work: Deck foundations had settled. Jeff used a series of jacks to support the deck, cutoff the support posts, raised the deck, & reattached the posts.

Jeff explained that the original builder was a little light on the construction, so Jeff bolted the 2x12 cross beams to the posts to supplement the original nails, & plated the beams where they joined together. To save money and time Jeff allowed me to be his helper.
Description of Work: Raised deck & sun room level so that sliding glass doors would close properly. (ground under deck had settled) Cut off 8 4"x4" support posts, jacked up each post & shimed until deck was level then reconnected each post. Had to do this in sequence of 1/4" at a time to avoid damaging deck.

Jeff's meticulous. He came when he said he would. He underpromised and overperformed. He's the model of who you'd want to do home repairs for you. He picks up after himself so well you'd never guess he was there. I've used him before and I'll use him again!
Description of Work: Jeff put new shingles on a yard house. He power washed a large brick patio. He stained a deck. He put a post out by the steps to the front door. He replaced a step leading to the front door with multiple paving stones. He filled a hole in the living room wall. He recaulked in the shower stall and around the kitchen sink. Fixed a couple of doors so they closed properly (which other people had tried and failed to do). He carried a lot of things up from the basement for us due to a shoulder problem I have that keeps me from being able to do so. Jeff also took care of some wiring issues. There were a few other various things on our to-do list, as well - 3-4 days worth of work overall.

He did a beautiful job. He was punctual and showed up when he said he would. His craftsmenship is quite good. He charged us under $500.00 and for what he did it was very reasonable. He saved me at least $100.00 on the window job. I would highly recommend him to others.
Description of Work: He completed the jobs over 3 days. He replaced the top on a rotted potters bench, he repaired a window, he did major repairs on our yard house. He did some other small jobs as well.
