Called one day they were out the next. Garage door opener died. Said they would call before they came out and they did Was on time and finished the job ahead of time. Door opener very quite. I'm very satisfied

The guy was very good. They came out when they were supposed to. It was a reasonable charge. He was very good.

They supplied the door and they were there when they said. They did a good job. We love the door opener. They have been around for 40 years so we knew their reputation. We used them 30 years ago. We could have gotten it cheaper but we got a better door.

They basically did a good job cleaning up. Fast work

They are very reliable. I have been using their services for at least thirty years. I trust them and they are a very reputable organization.

I asked for a quote on 7/4/2014. They responded on 8/1/2014. I told them it took long to get a quote. They wrote me back on 8/4/2014 and quot;we have phonesand quot;. I will not deal with this kind of nonsense.

Went great. Installer showed up on time, clean up was excellent, and got the job done quickly. I would hire again for sure.

Service was requested due to a new light bulb that kept flickering after being replaced. Serviceman said all it needed was to be screwed in tighter because garage door vibrations tend to loosen them. He also sprayed oil in the rollers, which I later discovered had dripped all over the garage floor leaving marks. The bill for this service of approximately 10-15 minutes was $100.24, $3 for lubricant, $57 for the service call, and $40 for labor. When I asked about the labor charge, he said that was their minimum labor charge. Rather than argue with him, I paid the bill. Later, I called to complain about the costs involved for basically tightening a light bulb. Diane, who answered the phone became belligerent asking if I wanted to deal with their lawyer and go to a collections agency before I could even tell her that I already paid. When I asked why they didn't suggest just tightening the bulb, she said they can't be expected to know what's wrong. When I asked why they didn't mention their $40 minimum labor charge, she said the $57 service charge and quot;does not cover their costsand quot; so they add a $40 labor charge. (They still should have said so up front.) After listening to this tirade and not being able to get a word in, I was asked if I was ready to hang up! You bet I was! I felt I was treated very rudely and will never do business with this company again. dy

The workman was awesome. He was professionally dressed and his actions and speech were respectfully. He did much more than expected during the visit and gave us a feeling of confidence and security.

Door opener installed after 40something old Genie opener died (parents bought the unit from GOFvw in late 60s!). Also purchased 3 remotes. Unit is quieter and smoother. 6/5/2014 Unit died. Went through manual troubleshoot, indicates balance may be off but need to contact dealer. So, contacted the crew at GOFvw and they came out this (6/9) morning (Will). Door coil and balance needed to be handled but whole unit took a header. New unit has to go in (scheduled 6/11). Completely under guarantee and they are trying to accommodate my weird schedule. Heading off to work shortly so didn't loose a full day of work. They stand by their work and product which lately seems to be a challenge for other companies. Hence why I shall stick with GOFvw. By the way, Will the service tech - pleasant and calm considering I was agitated and annoying. 6/11/2014 Initially scheduled for morning, they ended up with scheduling problems but fortunately I could head into work and leave work today with a heads-up call from them when they were on the way. The tech was efficient, pleasant and informative. New unit went in and combined with the newly balanced and greased coil and tracks, things should and quot;rolland quot; right along.

The tech came to my home, identified the problem and completed the repair. He was very good at explaining the repair details to me.

Our garage door is working fine. We were unaware that the tracks were loose and he fixed everything.

Excellent provider. Could have easily convinced us the problems were much bigger and more expensive, but didn't. I felt I could trust him.

Called around to various places and found that Genie gave me the best information about types of openers available and which would be suitable for our garage. The installation was handled very promptly, and without any problems. In March 2014 we were experiencing some difficulty opening one of the garage doors. I called Genie, and they came right out and installed a new unit without any cost to us. That's customer service!

He did come promptly which was appreciated as I had to have the door working to bring in my spouses w/c for an appointment s. attempting a transfer out in the snow. Honestly not sure if I would use them again but I sure would like the job done correctly and as stated in the ad.

We used the services of Genie of Fairview for our garage door. They are excellent. Those guys are good. They came during a really cold time when the garage door got screwed up 1 to 3. The last time I used Genie of Fairview was in January. The cable was off. I don't know what happened. It was one of those really, really freezing cold days and it was just awful. The door was off the tilter, it was off the spool. He showed me afterwards how to reset the opener. I took the time with him. I did have to wait for them though because they were busy. For some reason everyone's garage door went, I don't know what happened. I will definitely use them again. My land lord picked the bill up, he reimbursed us for it.

We obtained a 2nd opinion. Found out only photo sensor had to be replaced.. Total repair was $125. Feel this was a deliberate mistake.

I called Genie of Fairview Door, for an estimate. They gave me an estimate at an agreed time. After I agreed to have the work done, they came out with the installer, to make sure the install would go smoothly. The opening was not a standard size. They had a custom size door made, and installed it while I was at work. I am very pleased with the results.

I called Genie of Fairview and spoke to very friendly, knowledgable guy. I explained the issue the garage door was having (tenant was worried that it might be a broken spring) and we made an appointment for them to come out the next day. He let me know up from that it would be $90 for a service visit, and then depending on the problem, it would go up from there. I agreed to that. He asked if I wanted a morning or afternoon appointment and I requested afternoon, since I don't live in the house and I would need to get over there. I didn't want the tenant to have to deal with this so I told her he would be coming in the afternoon (while she was a work) and that I would be there to take care of it. He suggested he make a note that the service person call me 15 minutes before arriving. I agreed. The next day I received a text from our tenant at 9 am that the garage door guy was there! I told her I would get there as quickly as possible but by the time I got there (I live 10 minutes away) he was already done. He found the problem right away (something with the code in the box at the top) - he said it was programmed wrong and had probably been like that for years. He did a couple of small things just to make sure it was working its best and left. She said he knew exactly what to do and took care of it quickly. He wasn't there more than 10 minutes total. I received a bill in the mail a few days later. The total was $101. While I was frustrated that they came earlier than expected and never called me to say they were on the way, ultimately it all worked out and the problem was fixed quickly. They were clear about the cost of a service call up front so I was happy to discover that the problem was minor and there wasn't anything costly that needed to be replaced. I would hire them again.

Called Genie of Fairview for a new garage door opener (to replace the original opener in my house from the late 1960s) and new garage door springs (looked very old and just unsafe), and for a quote for a new garage door. I was given an initial quote over the phone of ~$700 for the new opener and springs. Technician installed the opener quickly and without any problems. He checked out the springs - they didn't need to be replaced! He gave them a couple turns, oiled them, and said they were in great shape. The door looked fine, just needed to have some screws tightened. Ended up being ~$350, half the price! I got a decent belt-driven opener with keypad, and the door and springs tightened and oiled. I had a quote from another local competitor who employed high-pressure sales tactics. Their chain-driven opener was more expensive and didn't include keypad... and I have to suspect that they would have told me I needed brand new everything.... My parents had all of their work done by Genie of Fairview over the decades in their home, and I see why! So without reservation, I highly recommend Genie of Fairview!

They showed up on time. Took down the old door and replaced it with the new one. They hauled away the old door. The service man was very efficient although not very friendly. We like the quality of the Genie doors and have used them in the past. We will continue to deal with them in the future because of the quality of the product.

The service man came when expected, the day after I called, and repaired a 20 year old door openor and did not try and sell me a new one. They put the door in some 30 years ago and have been servicing it all this time

I greatly appreciate that he wanted me to check this one aspect about the garage door before sending someone out. It's smart business because when that door does need work, Genie of Fairview is who I'm going to call.

I liked that they were very thorough and did a great job. They price their services reasonably.
