Very good experience with them. They were at my house on time and informed me of what they would be doing in the order they were doing it. Took down the old garage doors and hauled them away for us. We did have a problem with one of the garage door openers and they came back and fixed when it was convenient for me, and no charge.
Description of Work: Take down our old garage doors and install a new double garage door and a new single garage door. Replace trim around both garage doors.

Maybe wanted to pump the job up a bit. Can't actually comment on their work, as I didn't have any done.
Description of Work: Main drive gear in Liftmaster Opener stripped, door inoperable; Called Genie- could not come for 3 days, & also seemed to be primarily interested in completely replacing opener, going so far as to put one on order, for $399. This was before they even saw opener, & after I carefully described problem, in fairly exact terms. Called a second company to see if they could come sooner. Understood problem exactly from my description; said repair should be no problem, for about $160. Came the same day, replaced gear quickly. Lubed & adjusted 2 doors, & only charged $160. Doors working well; Second company said opener should last for years, that gear stripping was not unusual, & seemed surprised that Genie did not seem to think the gear alone could be replaced. If Genie had actually come out, I'm sure they would have just gone ahead & replaced the opener, involving a lot more work, wiring, disruption of the garage, & cost.

QUICK RESPONSE TO BROKEN SPRING. THE SPRINGS ARE UNDER A LIFETIME WARRANTY SO THERE WAS NO CHARGE. THIS IS THE THIRD SPRING IN 3 YEARS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY HELPED ME FIGURE OUT THE CAUSE OF THE SPRING PROBLEM.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD OVERALL. THE WORKERS CAME ON TIME, THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND QUIET. THEY LEFT THE AREA CLEAN AFTER THEY WERE DONE. ALSO, WHEN THEY DID THE ESTIMATE, THEY DIDNT TRY TO RIP US OFF. THEY GAVE US A CHOICE OF TWO SERVICES.

IT ONLY TOOK THE GENIE INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN ABOUT ONE AND A HALF HOURS TO INSTALL THE AUTOMATIC GARAGE DOOR OPENER. HE SHOWED US ALL OF THE SAFETY FEATURES AND HOW TO USE THE UNIT.

TERRIBLE! THEY CAME OUT THREE DIFFERENT TIMES, AND ALL THREE TIMES, THEY DID NOT GET THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORDER THE PART. THE MANAGER WAS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAVY AND DID NOTHING TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS OR MAKE IT RIGHT. THE PROCESS TOOK EIGHT DAYS AND I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY TO COMPLETE THE WORK.

THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ESTIMATE. I GAVE THEM THE A CHECK AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SATURDAY BETWEEN 1:00-3:30. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE FOR THE NEXT DAY AFTER MY FIRST CALL, BUT THEY RESCHEDULED BECAUSE THE SERVICE GUY (MARK) COULDNT MAKE IT. ARRIVED ON TIME THE DAY AFTER THAT, AND THE OFFICE PERSON LAURA CALLED ME AT WORK WHEN MARK WAS ON HIS WAY SO I COULD MEET HIM AT MY HOME. THE DOOR WAS BARELY HANGING ON TO THE TRACK, BUT MARK HAD IT FIXED AND WORKING PROPERLY WITHIN 30 MINUTES. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME MARK HAD COME TO MY HOME FOR GARAGE DOOR WORK, HE DID A FAST AND PROFESSIONAL JOB BOTH TIMES.

THE BILL WAS FOR $104.18 AND I USED A $10.00 COUPON FROM THE INTERNET WHICH BROUGHT MY TOTAL COSTS TO LESS THAN $100.

THERE WAS A MIX UP ON THE INSTALLATION DATE. THE OFFICE THOUGHT THEY WERE COMING, BUT THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. THEY CAME TWO DAYS LATER.
