The company did not show up for the scheduled and confirmed appointment (8:30 - 9 a.m.) on May 13 to install a new garage door. I confirmed the day before because I had to go to work after the scheduled installation. I called at 9:15 and they said the installer was on another job in Medina and did not know why this happened. They called back and said the installer could be there within an hour which I told them was not possible based on their estimated installation time but I would wait one hour before leaving for work. I waited an hour and a half and the installer showed up as I was leaving for work. I had to go to work and they wanted me to leave the garage open so they could do the job. I will not leave my property unattended while strangers do an expensive installation. The office did not contact me to reschedule or apologize. I finally called several hours later and they said they would investigate which is pointless. I have rescheduled two weeks out for a "first" thing in the morning appointment in order not to lose my deposit or let this issue linger. I would never use them again. They are not professional in scheduling or communicating with their clients. I lost PTO time at work because of their inefficiency.

It was a service call because the part was under warranty and the price was about $100. They came out and said that the motor had some problem and the motor was under warranty because I have a new opener. Then they said that they would be back by the end of the week to replace that and they said that it would just be a service call. They said that there won’t be a cost for the part. However, what happened was that they forgot about me. Then I got a new garage door opener about 3 days later. I then ended up calling them on a Friday and asked them about my schedule. It turned out that my paperwork had been thrown on a foreman’s desk and he was out of the office at the job site. If I hadn’t called, then it would have been almost a week since they had totally forgotten about me. So, I was really mad at them, but the lady on the phone was very apologetic and nice about it. I didn’t get any kind of a price break or anything, but I just waited a week to pay them. I wasn’t here when they fixed it and they left a bill. They probably had the part lying in their shop. I think if someone had a broken door, then they would be a little more prompt about coming right back to fix it. So, I was disappointed with that. They did fix it and it ended up being fine. I was only here when the initial person came out to diagnose the problem and I wasn’t here when they came out to fix it. They did come and take care of it. The quality was fine. It seemed like a lot of money for a part that was under warranty. I would probably use them again.

One of my garage doors was off kilter and caused the motor to shut down. The company was able to schedule a technician for the following morning and after the technician tuned the motor and doors the door functioned well. I decided to update one and replace another garage door opener, and the tech returned the following day with the parts that he needed to complete the job. I was promised first call at 9 am but due to a glitch, the company did not send the tech out until a couple of hours later - an inconvenience, but one that the company tried to remedy as soon as they realized their mistake, by rerouting the technician to my house right away. All in, I found the cost reasonable, the quality of the work excellent and the professionalism of the technician excellent. He clearly knew how to perform his job and was courteous and professional.

Not on time as originally scheduled but did keep me informed of time changes. Service man was polite and explained everything clearly. Made sure I was satisfied before leaving.

Genie of Fairview Door does a good job. They came the next day, all that I had to do was pick up the phone and call.

One of the springs had broken on our garage door. Called Genie and they came out the following day promptly as scheduled. Kevin replaced both springs (they were original, probably about 60 years old). In addition, the door has always opened crooked, shimmied and made alot of racket. He replaced all 4 pulleys and some of the rollers, lubed it and now it operates perfectly. I also asked about deactivating the genie in case of power failure so the car won't be trapped in there. For an additional $15 he installed an emergency release toward the top of the front door. In case of emergency you use the key to unlock and yank on the cable which switches the system over to manual operation. When power returns you simply switch the lever inside and it resets. It's brilliant. The entire job took about an hour and we are extremely pleased with the results.

Kevin was helpful, replaced light bulbs for us, and went over the cost in detail.

It was actually a pretty quick affair--assessed the issue and fixed in within 30 minutes. Price was right as was his attitude--very willing to answer questions about the system which we appreciated as new home buyers.

The gentleman than did the repair was polite and professional and knew exactly what to do. I could not have been more pleased.

For the initial purchase I became acquainted with the owner, Al Heller. Installation was prompt and flawless. Mr.Heller went through features and benefits of each option, demonstration a substantial minimum capacity for dealing effectively with people at all levels. They must be rated the best in all categories without reservation--- it is service that sets them apart from chain stores.

They were courteous and prompt. They replaced both springs and cleaned the whole thing up. They were really effective in doing whatever that needed to be done with the door.

It was an emergency when the garage doors springs broke. I could not open the door. My mother is a cancer patient and I am the CareGiver to a 92 yr old priest, who is my uncle. Diane the receptionist from Genie of Fairview immediately sent a service man even thought it was the end of the day. Excellent customer service and great work on the garage doors. I have worked with this company for 27+ years. They have always put their customers first.

We were supposed to be 1st on the list but our serviceman didn't arrive until after 10:30 AM, which was a bit of an inconvenience. However, he was well worth the wait. He was very efficient, helpful, personable and every but as professional as everyone we have worked with at Genie. It's a pleasure to do business with this company.

Had onsite quote. Did not contract with them because they were several hundred dollars higher than another highly rated company.

When I called Genie (the regular service provider for many years), I was told immediately when the serviceman would appear (the next day at 1:00). He showed up on time, quickly determined the exact problem and asked me to give him an hour. He was done sooner, and did not even charge me to add the key lock! The serviceman was very pleasant, professional and quick. We always call Genie and we've never been disappointed.
