Description of Work: We live in a cluster-home development where our common area landscaping is provided through a homeowners' association. We have been working with Eric and his company since 2004. He gave suggestions on what plantings would work best and easiest to maintain in our private courtyard and patio areas for which we are responsible. We had him completely refurbish both areas, with all new plantings to suit the soil, sun/shade requirements, etc. and have been extremely pleased. Since then, his company has been doing our spring and fall cleanups, including mulch, pruning, etc.

Description of Work: They do our courtyard including cleaning it up and planting and remove plants where necessary. They have put small stones in where necessary and replaced paver steps. The re-mulch a big area.

+ -1 moreThe quality of the work Eric did was great. Our trees look very nice and they seem to be quite healthy. However, he was unable to plant trees that were as large as we originally agreed upon. He planted the somewhat smaller trees without contacting us first, and then after they were planted he said he would give us a price break. He did give us a price break but it was small. He was generally good about communicating with us.
Description of Work: Aspen Landscaping planted 14 trees on our property. Eric came out and gave an estimate. He was professional and took his time with us, answering all our questions. He installed the trees a little later than we had originally agreed, but there was some bad weather which prevented planting on the original date. He did a great job of digging the holes and planting the trees, then covering them with a layer of mulch. The finished product looked very professional.

+ -1 moreThe owner Eric was always very prompt, he never missed an appointment. He was always on time, very knowledgable, and his choices of plantings were things he knew about. He knew colors, size and plants to stay away from (like those that attract deer). They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves.

+ -1 moreEric told me exactly when he'd be there and showed up as promised. I asked for a plan in advance and gave him lots of suggestions of plants I liked which he incorporated into the design. The first part of the project took three days and he came back for another 3 days later in the summer to finish when I expanded the project. He was very professional and had many ideas that I wouldn't have come up with. He and his assistant were very neat and cleaned up each day. The yard looked beautiful when completed and I got several compliments from the neighbors.
Description of Work: Worked with me on a plan to replace most of the landscaping in the front yard and a portion of the backyard. I have large trees and lots of roots which make it difficult to grow anything so Eric came up with a plan that would work under those conditions. I then expanded the job to include the entire front beds. Eric and his crew pulled out all my old overgrown landscaping including lots of old pachysandra and replaced it with a variety of new shrubs and perennials. He also put river rock around the bases of the 2 large trees where nothing grows. He shaped all the beds, put mulch on all the beds and even cleaned off large vines off the house and rid the yard of yellow jackets.

They hand trim the bushes and the yard always looks like it should be in a magazine when completed. Very professional company. Eric's follow-up is also excellent.
Description of Work: Prune and trimmed everything in front and back landscape beds, including several trees; deep edged landscape beds; mulched all beds. Removed overgrown shrubs, a tree, and a dead pine tree. Planted perennials where removed shrubs. Planted Arborvitae shrubs and tree in another bed. Moved several plants.

The only small issue I had is that after my bill was paid in full, I received a second bill for the "design". This was $400. This was not discussed before hand. When I brought this up they were very professional & did not charge me the additional $400. I would definitely use them again.

ERIC WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, CALLED IF HE WOULD EVEN BE A FEW MINUTES LATE, TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING, AND GENERALLY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST NOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE. BUT THEY DEFINITELY WERE WORTH WHAT I PAID. UPDATE: ERIC DID A GREAT JOB. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, RELIABLE, AND TRUSTWORTHY. I COULD TELL THAT HE TAKES A LOT OF PRIDE IN HIS WORK.

HE PROPOSED A DESIGN YET INCORPORATED OUR REQUESTS INTO THE LAYOUT. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT AND WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN. THEY ALL WORKED HARD AND FINISHED THE JOB IN THE TIME QUOTED.
