Jim was very knowledgeable of plumbing. He did a great job, everything works well now. He explained what he was doing and gave suggestions and tips to keep my plumbing working well.

They were wonderful. I was afraid on who to hire and a neighbor recommended them because a friend of his had recommended them to him. They were neat took all the garbage away. The were very efficient. They give senior citizens discounts also.

I called Action Plumbing for an estimate . Don from Action Plumbing arrived and visually checked the broken drain stack. Don quoted me a price that was $47.00 less than a previous estimate. I accepted the estimate and asked when he could do the repair. Don replied that he was prepared to do the repair now. I asked him to proceed with the repair and about an hour later he was done. I paid by check and he left. Great experience.

Jim did an excellent job. Our basement laundry/kitchen drain was severely backed up but Jim was able to clear it out without too much difficulty. We also weren't receiving any hot water in our shower and he was able to fix the problem with only minor adjustment to the assembly. He didn't even charge for that part. In addition, he provided some useful low-cost pointers on how we can save on water and appliance costs. I will definitely be using his services in the future.

Very well. Jim is excellent. Work was of very high quality, and I'm glad we got it done. He is punctual, professional, and honest, in my opinion. I was surprised by the price. I didn't think it would cost so much. Jim was willing to discuss that and explained the time involved to get the job done. In the end, I think you get what you pay for, and the cost was worth it for the result. In the review I rate the price as "fair", simply meaning that I understand why it cost what it did, not that I think it was a bargain. That said, I don't think there is anything dishonest about the amount. Jim will be my first phone call on any future plumbing issue.

they fixed our leaks and installed shower plumbing

We called Action Plumbing in the morning and they came to our house around 2:30 in the afternoon. Jim came and looked over the plugged drain we have had a problem with for the past 5 years. Other plumbers have addressed the problem but it kept returning. In the past, we have spent over $20,000.00 (Insurance claims) replacing carpet, new kitchen cabinets and cleaning up waste in the basement (Twice) because of the stopped up drain in the basement. Jim explained why we were having a continuing problem with the basement drain which was related to how the original sink installation in the basement was causing the problem plus our disposal was not fully grinding up materials placed down the drain. Because the basement sink was connected to the kitchen drain and not on a separate sewer line there will always be the potential for the back up to occur again. Since tearing up the basement floor and installing a new separate sewer line was out of the question, as an additional precaution, Jim replaced the basement sink drain plug with a new "Screw-in" drain plug as a extra security against another sewer back up in the basement sink and running over onto the basement floor. Other plumbers we have had only snaked out the drain and never really explained to us why we had a problem and what we could do to help elevate the issue in the future Jim also repaired or replaced both the kitchen and basement sinks' drain piping which had minor leaks in them. Jim was very courteous and professional in doing his work. He left our house extremely clean and all materials were cleaned up and removed. Jim also gave us tips and steps we could take to insure that we would not have a recurring problem again.

Jim snaked the drain line w/a 25ft super flex cable due to the old age of the galvanized pipes.checked the pipes as best as he could for leaks and everything looked good for what we were able to see.Jim gave me a grid cover to help keep debris out of drain. Jim always does a great job!.......I highly reccomend his service to anyone wanting a professional job w/ great cleanup as well.........Thanks Jim.

They were prompt and courteous when responding, so I can only rate them based on this. They did not come out to look at the job for an estimate so I went with another contractor that did.

The plumber needed to get some parts for the two old faucets. We did not hear from the company for a week at a time. There was very little follow up regarding the status of these repairs. In the end, the two faucets were repaired. I asked to have a washer replaced in a third, more modern, faucet. I could have done this myself (the older faucets require a professional plumber who is familiar with these types of faucets), but, I didn't have time to take care of this repair. I was shocked when I discovered the price to fix this faucet was $147 I will take part of the responsibility - I did not ask for a price quote in advance. The two older faucet repairs cost $275 and !47. (There was a senior discount applied to the total.) Although the cost to repair these faucets is expensive, I understand stopping the leaks in these two faucets was a challenge, time consuming and took purchase of special parts. The $147 cost for the third faucet, and lack of communication over the several weeks this repair process took place, are the reasons I'm not planning to use this company again. *** Update The day this review appeared I received a call from the contractor. I did not realize faucets repaired by this company have a two year warranty. Also, we discussed the communication issue. I was impressed that I received a call so quickly and the company was interested in my feedback and how to impreove.

It was quite a job, he was here for two or three weeks. I liked that he was VERY thorough. If I had questions, he explained things very well so that I could understand what he was doing. He didn't act like he didn't want to be bothered. He was very friendly and patient. He was clean, whatever mess they made, they cleaned up. It looked like he had never even been there, once he finished. He was very professional.

Fantastic response. We had a leak in the upstairs bathroom that caused us to shut off the hot water upstairs. It was in the bathtub which shared a wall with the other upstairs bathroom so it proved to be a more difficult job. I had contacted two other plumbers and they did not seem confident that they could do the work and also quoted me twice the amount that Action Plumbing did. Jim assured me that he has dealt with this type of job before and could complete it. They got out within a few days and completed the job within a few hours. The best part is that they saved the tile on the bathtub wall which I thought was a goner for sure! They stuck with their quoted price and I was also able to use my senior discount. I would definitely recommend them and will be calling them in the future for all my plumbing needs.

Excellent service. On time, quality work on the R & R of the pipes and valves. Jim, explained what needed to be done ahead of time. Easy to schedule an appointment so it was all done all at one time. The clean up was great after the work was completed. Made sure there were no leaks or issues before leaving. Jim was very friendly and professional.
