They did a fantastic job!. We had to wait a little bit after they picked up the furniture, but the wait was definitely worth it. Our furniture is about 70 years old and was scratched and chipped, but now looks better than new. They are not inexpensive, but the workmanship is worth every penny. We would use them again.

Wonderful. Lou and his team did an outstanding job on the repair and refinishing. The Dining room table is stable and solid. The Kitchen Table and Chairs look and feel brand new, and in addition, he tightened all the bolts and screws, making the table and chairs stable. I am so very impressed with the work. They were professional, efficient and the work is very high quality.

They were very responsive, performed the repair in a timely manner and the price was very resonable.

The work performed was very high quality. Victor came to our home personally to quote the job. The quality of the refinishing was excellent and to the agreed timeframe. I would highly recommend the company for their work and attentive customer service.

The table has been in my family for years. Victor Lia came to look at it, made an estimate of all work that would be needed (gluing pieces back on, fixing a drawer, refinishing) and then a cost and estimate and how long it would take. Once we agreed, they took the table. Five weeks later, I got something back that probably looked better than it did when it was first created. It is absolutely stunning. I couldn't be happier. I eventually will need to have my dining room table and chairs redone and I won't call anyone else besides Victor Lia.

It was beautiful. It took my breath away. The draw handles were shining; green felt was replaced in the top drawer. None of my siblings could believe the beautiful wood that was uncovered by Louis and his assistants. Not only was it worth the price but it gave me a beautiful piece of furniture that will remind me of my mother for years to come.

My husband took the door to him, and picked it up less than a week later. The door looks great! Unless you inspected it VERY closely and knew what happened you would never know how damaged it was. Plus the cost was so reasonable. Hopefully my husband does not snap another door, but if so, I know where to have it repaired!

I contacted Victor Lia and Sons for the repair of a family heirloom, which involved replacing a curved piece of glass. They were great from start to finish. In my first call, I was told the likely cost for the glass, given my explanation of what was needed, and that the repair might take some time since the glass had to be manufactured. The piece (door only) was picked up at my home, repaired, returned to my home, and reinstalled in beautiful condition. I was contacted by phone regarding the exact cost and it was both fair and on the mark with what I had been advised in my initial call. All told, it took about three weeks from pick up to delivery and I very am pleased with the outcome and the level of service we received.

They picked up our furniture and took it back to their shop to refinish. They removed scratches and mars on the surface of the wood and applied a protective finish. Louis has recommended that we stop using furniture polishes and use endust instead. We have found that this does make a difference in the upkeep and appearance of our furniture.

Victor Lia and Sons do exceptionally high-quality work. My dining set was a bit of a wreck--probably not far from being discarded. I couldn't believe how beautifully they restored the wood's natural grain. The finish is gorgeous and durable. The craftsmanship simply cannot be improved upon. (I did not comment on the pricing because I only got one bid for this project.)

I have an old and quot;libraryand quot; table that's been in my family for as long as I can remember. My mother told me my great grandfather had made it. The table had one of the legs broken off and had been set aside for many years. I always liked the table and wanted to see if it could be repaired. I called ahead to check on availability and arranged a time to bring my table for an estimate. I met Lou Lia at the shop. He looked at the table and said he could repair it. He gave me an estmate of dollars and time. Lou was very nice to talk to and I left my table to have him repair it. In four weeks, as estimated Lou called and said the table was ready. We went to pick it up. The table looks great. Lou repaired the leg, patched a split in the table top and a chip off the corner. He also did a great job on the finish. I hope to have the table for many more years. The final cost was very close to the estimate. I'm so happy that there are family businesses like this doing what they love and taking pride in their work.

After the death of my previous furniture restorer, I was a long time searching for a new service provider. I located Mr. Lia on Angie's List and called him to ask if I could bring out a bed for him to evaluate, and he readily agreed. I hauled to his shop an old rope bed that I had picked up in a thrift shop. It was partially stained and some of the wood on one post was splitting and peeling away. Mr. Lia was very friendly and very knowledgeable about his trade. His shop was immaculate and the examples of his work awaiting pickup looked like museum pieces. He said my bed was about 150 years old; the posts were curly maple and had probably been turned on an animal powered lathe on someone's farm. The flat boards of the head and footboards were poplar. He quoted a price for me and I left the bed. When I got his call to come pick it up and saw the finished product, I first thought he was joking with me by showing me a new bed. The damaged post had been repaired so skillfully that I could not detect the joint between the old and the new wood. The whole was beautifully refinished in a way that showed off the beauty of the wood grains. I will be giving him all my future business and cannot recommend him enough.

I usually refinish furniture myself. It was an antique chair, a vintage from the mid-1800s. I didn’t want myself to touch it, so I used them to restore it. They were very courteous and very professional. They did what they said. Their price was a little high, but it was not horrible. The others had horribly high prices. I don’t mind paying a little bit more for a totally good job. I really liked them and I would use them again.

EXCELLENT! The work done on my grandmothers 100 year old hutch was exceptional. Just unbelievable how nice of a job Victor and his son Louis did. The craftmanship and attention to detail is as good as it gets. They restored and used all the original hardware and the refinish work was meticulous. They seem to care for the piece as much as I do. They also pick up and deliver at no charge. The price seemed a bit high at first, but the hutch meant a lot and they have a great reputation so I went ahead. It was much more than expected and we are so pleased. We would have paid more. The hutch has a desk compartment with several small bins and many grooves. They made every detail look new. They delivered on time, it took about a month as they said it would. We will use them again.

MR. LIA AND HIS SON CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE TO LOOK AT THE PIECES AND ENDED UP TAKING THEM WITH HIM. HE CAME IN MID-DECEMBER AND THOUGHT THE 3 PIECES WOULD BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF JANUARY. HOWEVER, BECAUSE LATE IN THE PROCESS WE ORDERED A GLASS TOP FOR THE SIDEBOARD, IT ENDED UP TAKING TWO WEEKS LONGER. BOTH MEN WERE VERY HELPFUL AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THEY HAD AN INTEREST IN FINDING OUT WHAT YOUR GOAL WAS AND WHAT YOU WANTED, AND THEY WOULD ALSO GIVE YOU ADVICE ON WHAT THEY THOUGHT. THEY FINISHED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, WERE PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY COULD COME BACK OUT TO LOOK AT IT AND THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK.
