I'm not prone to hyperbole, so when I say that Chris is hands-down the best realtor we could have asked for, I mean it. We first engaged him on the (very strong) recommendations of several friends and colleagues. Five minutes into our first meeting with him I could tell that he knew his stuff, but more than that, he was sincerely interested in hearing about what we were looking for before trying to impart any knowledge to us. Given that we were first-time home shoppers, we hadn't really set any parameters yet. As such, he recommended we just start looking at whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, which is a HUGE commitment for a realtor. But he meant it, and for the next several months he made himself available over and over again as we cruised through house after house, narrowing our search parameters, all the while getting the benefit of his extensive knowledge. He pointed out things we never would have thought of, and provided his advice without being overbearing. Once we settled on the house we wanted (a short sale - not an easy process to navigate), he handled the process flawlessly, with zero hiccups. We thought we had found our forever home, but a few years and two kids later, we were on the hunt for a new place to live. Once again, Chris came through big-time. He toured us through neighborhoods, encouraged us to expand our search (i.e. committed himself to even more showings across various cities), and never--not even once--exerted the tiniest pressure on us to make an offer. After nine months(!), we found our new home, and once again, Chris took us through the process (both buying the new home and selling our old one) without any issues whatsoever. I'll be honest, I can be a tough customer. I demand high competence from anyone providing a service, and I ask a lot of questions. Chris answered every question, navigated every phase of the home buying and selling process to perfection, and even now remains available to us for questions regarding contractors, home issues, and the occasional check-in just to see how we're doing. He is, in a word, outstanding. If you're considering buying or selling a home, call him first. You'll be happy you did.
