Description of Work: I contacted Brent because of the reviews he received in angies list. He offered his estimate in clear and easy to understand language. He offered some tips of his own that really helped us to decide how we wanted to proceed. He worked with us on a timetable and he stuck to it. He remodeled our bathroom with a new tub surround, vanity, and floor. He also replaced two doors. One for the garage(pedestrian door) and one on a storage area that was interrible condition. He also replaced a floor with linoleum in the laundry room, patched some drywall, and raised the washer and dryer so we could reach the drain for the washer. After that we had them paint the livingroom, laundryroom, kitchen, and the bathroom. The work was done with a minimum of disruption. His workers are very upbeat and enthusiastic. They do the job right and pay attention to detail. If problems arise ,as they always do with remodeling, they discuss the alternatives and offer suggestions as to how to proceed. They are quick to answer any questions are very professional in their work. I would recommend them for any remodeling job.

Brent, the owner, first came out to do an estimate. He was very professional and advised on the best way to do the job. Since we were also getting the shower pan refinished, we had to coordinate his work with the shower pan refinisher. The first step was to get the old shower doors removed and the old caulk taken off. Brent had one of his men come out to do this so that it would be done when the shower pan refinisher came. Then he had men come back on a timely basis to install the new shower doors. They also replaced a cultured marble sink and countertop and a drop in sink. They were careful not to get stains on the carpeting on the stairs and the bedroom. They worked very carefully and professionally and cleaned up after themselves. They did an excellent job.
Description of Work: This company replaced our old shower doors, a cultured marble sink and countertop, and a drop in sink.
The crew is extremely professional, conscientious and offer great, creative suggestions for low cost ways to add unique elements to designs. The work is flawless; we've already discussed another project that we will undoubtedly have Moore complete.
Description of Work: Moore did a partial bathroom remodel including installing new countertops and fixtures, replacing an existing shower insert with ceramic tile, replacing lights, replacing a surface-mounted medicine cabinet with a recessed cabinet, and other miscellaneous work. (The cost listed is for Moore's work only, and not for any materials.)

I had a flood in my basement and I called them afterwards to give me estimates for some remodeling work and repair. I was very impressed with the gentleman who came out to give me the estimate. He was very honest with me throughout the estimate. He commented that I really did not need to break the bank and go for the most expensive things in the basement, because it has the potential to flood again. I asked him about some flooring and he mentioned some options that were more cost effective to install, but they look just as good. They came out right away when I called them which was nice. He was very personable and he really took the time to listen to what I wanted and he knew exactly what I was going to need for the job. He was able to give me a lot of tips and ideas throughout the process. I felt very comfortable talking with him when he came out and I really got the impression that he was a good hard working guy.

Brent and his crew were very responsive to our requests. They were very courteous, they worked in a timely manner, they cleaned up daily, and they were very conscientious in the work they performed. Our hallway bath was the area in which they did the most work and it truly exceeds our expectations. We have already ordered tile in preparation for Brent and his crew to update our master bath next spring.
Description of Work: Brent and his crew updated our hall bath, replaced the counter top in our master bath room, and installed two windows.
Our house is a modest brick bungalow built in 1950. Wood cabinets, vinyl flooring and period decor had been installed some time in the 60's. We have never had a dishwasher or disposal and after 26 years and 3 kids, the room was a mess. Working with Brent Moore and his crew turned a process we had been dreading into a pleasure. A kitchen designer came to our home and made a plan that included all that we wanted and stayed within our budget. The skilled crew worked quickly, were tidy and pleasant to have in the house, and stayed on task. The vinyl flooring was installed by an expert. Our electrical system was old and inadequate and Brent's very qualified electrician updated wiring, put in a new breaker system and added capacity. Brent is an excellent communicator; when problems arose they were dealt with creatively and within budget. By many standards our redo was modest, but as a result of design assistance, quality workmanship, and attention to detail, we now have exactly the kitchen we wanted.
Description of Work: Kitchen design consultation. Removed old cabinets, countertops, sink, ceramic wall tile, and several layers of vinyl flooring. Repaired walls, installed new drywall, cabinets, countertops, new wiring and electrical outlets, new plumbing for the sink and disposal. New sink, disposal, dishwasher and electric stove were installed.New vinyl flooring was installed in kitchen, on landing and down stairs to the basement. New breaker box and wiring brought up to code to pass inspection.

Working with the crew was a breeze. They were here when they said they would be, and were always open to new ideas. They were professional, yet easy-going. They performed every task extremely well.
Description of Work: The master bathroom was gutted (except the floor). Everything else was replaced. In the shower the drain was moved, the area completely tiled (with a niche), an overhead rain shower added (in addition to an oxygenics shower head, and new lighting was added. A new low flow toilet was installed. The overhead fan was upgraded and properly vented to the outside rather than into the attic. New cabinets, tub and faucets were installed. Electrical outlets were added or moved as required. One wall behind the tub was completely tiled (Beautiful!). A separate vanity with lighting was added for my convenience. Plumbing was installed so that each area has its own shut-off. It's now an elegant bathroom.
Awesome. Brent had to be THE most upfront, honest, and quick contractor to work with. He was great at working fast without missing any of my concerns. He got me an estimate within a few days unlike other companies that took more than a month! The team he had working on my house were very nice and friendly. My wife and I are both weary of people working in the house unattended, but felt very comfortable with them. The work they did looks great! Exactly what I was hoping for. The company Brent had come in to do the floors were quick and kept the dust to a minimum. Little details like that allow for me to worry less. The floors, porch, and foyer look great! I highly recommend Moore and his team.
Description of Work: We had some ice dam damage to the front porch, as well as water seepage into the inside of the house. Needed the porch roof redone with a vinyl soffit. Plaster and drywall repair in the living room and foyer. Also, had hardwood floors refinished.

Brent is personable and helpful. He went above and beyond to help me. Phone calls were returned promptly and an estimate was received promptly, as well. The remodeling I needed done involved an insurance claim and in the end I decided to use a company that had dealt with this insurance company before. When I told Brent what I was going to do he remained professional, courteous and helpful. I would use Brent's company if a different situation arose.

My front porch needed to be repaired. The corners where the pillars support the roof overhang had rotted and the pillars were sinking through the porch floor. Brent responded quickly to my call for an estimate and came out within a few days to take a look. He provided me an estimate menu, where I could select which options I wanted him to perform, such as replacing all the railing vs just a post, replacing all floor boards vs just the damaged ones and if I chose for him to paint the porch or not. I chose the options that were best for the repair needed and fit within my budget. Brent was very accommodating and never pressured me into options not required. Brent and his team fixed the porch within 2-3 days and kept me informed of their progress at all times. After the job was complete, Brent checked again to see if I was satisfied with the work and even came back to caulk the pillars after I had applied primer to the porch. Brent and his team were efficient, professional, friendly and tidy. I would recommend them to everyone and would absolutely hire them for another project.
Description of Work: Replaced rotted and damaged tongue & groove boards on front porch. Re-supported the floor from underneath with new support beams. Replaced a post on the railing and secured my current railing.

Brent had considerable difficulty in arriving at an estimate for a clearly defined project. He requested that an architect do blue prints before he could get an estimate. Regretfully, I paid $400 up front for blueprints drawn by Travis Mayer - (which by later expert evaluation were found to be of very poor design due to the position of the roof in proximity to existing windows.) Brent still could not come through with an estimate. Only after proding that "Angie's List would not be impressed", did he throwout a bogus $26,000 estimate for a wood built screen room. After 3 months it was clear to me that Brent was not competent in handling this job. I would not trust him to do any work for me.
Description of Work: When I met with Brent I gave him very specific parameters on 15 ft by 18 ft screen room I wanted built on the back of my house. After 3 months, he could not come up with an estimate. Although, he did not perform work for me, he wasted a lot of my time.
We are very satisfied with both the quality and valued of work. Brent did everything possible to work with us to save money on the project whenever possible. Brent's crew were always punctual and courteous. They were also very accommodating whenever a change needed to be made. Although the project took longer than any of us anticipated the finished product is well worth it.
Description of Work: 800 sq ft of hardwood floors installed (tile and carpeting removed and disposed of). New island and granite counter tops installed in kitchen. New bathtub, tile, and countertop installed into master bathroom. Staircase treads and rails replaced to match new floors, trim painted white. New mantle built for fireplace to match flooring.

Moore Remodeling called me back and set up a time to come out and give me an estimate. They were slightly late arriving however, they did call and let me know (which I really appreciated). They walked around and took measurements of the areas they were going to paint. They were FULL of ideas and excitement which was GREAT. They left after we talked briefly about ideas and they were to email me my estimate within a day or two. However, I ended up calling him to see if he had my estimate because we had narrowed it down to Moore Remodeling and one other company. However, we did not end up using Moore Remodeling because they were off in price by over a thousand dollars. It was unfortunate because I REALLY liked how excited they were about my home and saw many opportunities to be creative.
Description of Work: Estimate on painting foyer, kitchen, dinning room, family room, hallway, stairway, loft, dinnette area, baseboards and trim. Repair any cracked drywall or nail pops.

They did an excellent job and took an incredible amount of pride in their work. They made good cost effective recommendations.
Description of Work: Repaired ceiling, fixed broken window, painted front and back porch, diagnosed leaky water heater and replaced.
I am immensely impressed with this company. They are neat, meticulous, honest and conscience. I have used construction workers in the past and these guys exceed my expectations. They communicate well with you and keep you informed of everything. They are polite and considerate. They have safety in mind at all times. They made modifications without arguments. They brought a crew large enough to get the job done quickly. I can't say enough good things about this company and would use them again in an heartbeat.
Description of Work: We hired this company to remodel our kitchen and bathroom. They installed hardwood floors, lighting, cabinets, sinks, hardware, a window and they removed a wall to expand the area. They put in a new toilet, tile, plumbing and electrical.
We found Brent using Angie's List. I called Brent and he returned my call the same day. He suggested that his kitchen designer come out and look at the space and start working on some layouts. Michelle Falcone of Legends Distribution was there within a week to take measurements. Less than 2 weeks later, Brent called and we scheduled a day for he and Michelle to come to review the plans together. Michelle had a layout that we liked so we started work from there. (Brent works with Legends for kitchen design and as a supplier of cabinetry, windows, etc.). I appreciated that we were not required to go through Brent for all of the supplies for the renovation. It made sense for us to use his kitchen designer/supplier. We also went through Brent for the countertop. Otherwise, I shopped around town and on line for most everything else. For example, our flooring came from a liquidator and our appliances, sink and faucet from Lowe's. We wanted a nice kitchen but nothing designer or top of the line. We knew we couldn't afford that. We purchased mid-range cabinets, laminate countertops, a stainless steel sink. With all this work, we were sure to hit a few roadblocks. Brent was willing to work with us, no matter the budget, but he was honest with what we cold do for what amount of money. He constantly reminded us when things would cost more, etc. I appreciated that he had that in mind and believe that it was in his best interest to keep us aware of that. Our initial budget was blown once we realized that what we wanted to accomplish was just plain going to cost more. We wanted it to look as good as it could on a budget. We also wanted it done the right way without shortcuts. As a stay-at-home mom with a 2 year old, I appreciated the friendly manor as well as the respect and politeness Brent and his team showed to me and my daughter. We spent a lot of time together over those 5 weeks and I enjoyed getting to know all of them. Even took some cards for future odd jobs. I've had plenty of experiences in the past feeling very disrespected as a female when I had my judgment or knowledge questioned. This wasn't the case with Brent or his team. I was surprised after the first week that Brent wasn't present on the job full time. I guess I expected that he would be. His company seems to be growing and he is busy with new estimates and dealing with issues that come up. He was here when it was needed. I can't help but laugh when I remember the first day we spoke. He talked a long time on the phone and At one point said to me, " My wife says that sometimes I talk too much." His wife is a smart woman. :) Brent means well but I'm guessing sometimes his chattering might get him into trouble. I appreciate a person that I feel isn't hiding anything and is not going to pressure me or make me feel that I can't say when I'm unhappy with something. We had an open and honest dialog.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen renovation. Our home was built in 1908. This renovation required gutting the entire room down to the studs. We had plaster over lath on our walls and ceiling. This was all removed and new drywall was installed. There was a lump in our floor due to settling of the house and from a prior kitchen revamp. The team removed old linoleum and sub floor and were able to get rid of 95% of the lump in the floor. Three windows were removed. In the place of one, a new larger window was installed. The team installed new wood siding on the outside of the house, primed and painted it. They even moved some of the old siding from one area to another to help camouflage the changes. It looks amazing. Electrical was completely redone and outlets added. We installed recessed lighting and pendant lighting over a countertop peninsula (island). The team moved water lines for installation of a new sink, disposal and dishwasher. They relocated gas lines to a new location for a new range. All new cabinetry and an over-the-range microwave were added. The team laid a ceramic tile floor that continued down steps into our side entryway. It was very important to us to maintain the integrity of our home and continue the woodwork as it would be in the rest of our home. We originally intended to reuse our old trim that the team removed but when we got to that point in the project Brent encouraged us to consider adding new trim. I initially did not want to do that because I was concerned you would notice the difference. However, without pressure, he convinced me. They did a FABULOUS job constructing all new trim They used the old woodwork as a guide and recreated it to look as it had. Trim was added around the new window to match that of the original windows in the room. Guests who came to see after didn't even realize it was new. Our major issue came once the cabinetry was installed and we came to realize that the layout wasn't working in one area and it made it so that one cabinet wouldn't open properly. We held a meeting with Brent, myself and the kitchen designer. I immediately felt that Brent was on my side and that he (although he was upset and frustrated) would do whatever was in his power to make us happy with the work. Long story short, the layout was reworked and a new cabinet ordered with no extra charge to us. This did however delay the project and add another week. Altogether it took 5 weeks from beginning to end.
Brent and his crew did an outstanding job throughout. From the initial quote to staying in touch while we made a decision on who to use through the entire remodeling process, he was very easy and pleasant to work with. This project has two parts, a shared full bathroom and a smallish master bathroom. The shared bathroom was done first. Brent's crew installed a new tile floor, new vanity, new toilet, new tub fixtures and new light fixture as well as painted the entire bathroom. The work was first-rate throughout. The tile work was excellent; we used Brent's recommendation of staggered tiling and the look is great. We tagged even the smallest flaws and they were happily corrected. The master bathroom was a bigger project. They removed two layers of vinyl flooring as well as some of the subfloor, tore the shower down to the studs and removed the vanity and toilet. It was essentially stripped bare. From there, they laid a new sub floor, tiled the floor, installed a new shower base and walls, tiled throughout, installed new cabinets, shower fixtures, Kohler shower door, toilet, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, exhaust fan, reinstalled the mirror and painted. When removing the old vanity they found some mold and came up with a much better installation to accommodate the duct work to prevent future problems. They also installed new sliding closet doors in place of ugly old bifolds in the adjacent closet area and replaced an old skylight. The result of this work was first rate. The entire bathroom is beautiful, but the shower is the centerpiece. They did a great job with the tiling, including an accent stripe that matches the shower's small floor tiles. It is first-rate work and a joy to have. As with all projects, there were problems that arose throughout, but they were all handled very professionally and we had no problems during this project that were not resolved to our satisfaction. Every small concern we had was taken care of without complaint. We highly recommend Moore Home Remodeling for home remodeling projects. Not only do they do quality work, but Brent brings an excellent eye for design and an exacting sense of quality and attention to detail that are greatly appreciated by any homeowner.

Brent and Steve arrived in the morning on time and got started right away. Brent had already told us when he came out for the estimate that they would have to repair the garage wall to replace the door, and that they would have to cut into the wall a bit to fit in the new door. This made us nervous as anything we try to repair on the house seems to cause other problems! However, they did wonderful work. They fixed the wall without issue and installed the door which works perfectly. Brent also helped us with advice on some other issues we were having, including a garage door that was not working properly, and how to remove a tree stump that has metal embedded in it. He also discussed with us in what order we should do our other large projects (new driveway and windows and siding) and why, which we found very helpful. In addition, they helped us with how to repair two three way switches inside the house on our own, rather than paying for an electrician. Both gentlemen were very nice, approachable, and willing to answer unrelated questions in addition to doing the job that we paid them for. Even when we had a problem with the wooden frame around the door, Brent came back out to take a look. We took him up on his suggestion to repair it (use wood putty to repair some minor cracks) and it looks great. We felt he did not take advantage of our ignorance, dealt honestly with us, and charged us fairly for the work they performed. We will definitely have him out again to do work for us.
Description of Work: We needed an entry door to our garage replaced. It was the original door on the 40 year old structure and was a non-standard size. In addition, the front wall of the garage had slipped off of the foundation.

Description of Work: Called for estimate. Response over phone. Mr. Moore said he was very busy and didn't always work on our side of town, but would make arrangements to give us estimate. Never called to do this. I called him several weeks later. Same story. Got a call a few weeks after my second call. Said he was so busy, he would send his designer, Michelle over to do the estimate. Assured me she was well-qualified and that she would call me. Never heard from her or from him again.

IT WAS MY CONCERN ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY THAT THE MEMBER WAS SHOPPING MANY CONTRACTORS. SHE WOULD NOT DISCUSS A BUDGET AND JUST WANTED US TO COME OUT. MY CONCERNS WERE SOLIDIFIED WHEN SHE CALLED AND LEFT ME A MESSAGE NOT HAVING REMEMBERED IF SHE HAD PREVIOUSLY CONTACTED ME. GETTING 3 OR 4 ESTIMATES IS A NORMAL PRACTICE BUT WHEN IT BECOMES 6, 7 OR JUST HUNTING FOR SOMEONE TO DO IT WITHIN AN UNREALISTIC BUDGET THAT BECOMES PROBLEMATIC. HAVING A BUDGET IN MIND HELPS US TO DETERMINE WHAT LEVEL OF QUALITY YOU ARE EXPECTING, HOW MUCH TIME YOU HAVE INVESTED IN THE PROCESS AND MORE. I REGULARLY TELL FAR AWAY HOMEOWNERS WITH SMALL PROJECTS OR LOW BUDGETS TO SHOP LOCALLY AND THEY MAY GET A BETTER DEAL. SOME THANK ME FOR NOT WASTING TIME AND OTHERS UNDERSTAND THEY WILL PAY MORE FOR US BUT WANT THE QUALITY WE PRODUCE. ANOTHER ISSUE WAS THAT SHE WAS UNWILLING TO WORK WITHIN OUR SCHEDULE. SHE WANTED ME TO COME OUT AT 7:30/8:00, FAR AFTER WORK HOURS. NORMALLY WHEN WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVICE THAT SIDE OF TOWN MOST MEMBERS UNDERSTAND THEY NEED TO BE CONSIDERATE OF MY HOURS OF WORK. I HOPE THIS MEMBER FINDS SOMEONE TO HELP THEM WITH THERE PROJECT AND I HOPE IT GOES WELL.

We are very pleased with the end result of the remodel. Brent had some excellent suggestions including removing the soffit over the tub area. It really opened up the bathroom. This is our only shower and he worked late several nights and even on a Saturday to make sure that we were able to use our shower. Brent would not accept final payment on the job until we were completely satisfied. He made sure that all our concerns were addressed and everything was completed to our satisfaction. We have had several guests remark about how nice everything looks and ask who did the work. The price was higher than the estimate due to some additional work that needed to be done and some upgrades that we chose that were not in the original estimate. We will definitely call Brent again for any future remodeling projects.
Description of Work: Completely gutted the bathroom to the studs. Brent replaced the tub, toilet, vanity, lighting and all fixtures. He added an exhaust fan and extra electrical outlets. He also installed a granite countertop and undermount sink. The shower area and floor were tiled and sealed. Some of the plumbing had to be moved. All work was performed by Brent an his staff.
