They did not do the work correctly the first time, so it had to be done a second time at increased cost. Even then, it wasn't done correctly and to my satisfaction. Finally, after my attorney pointed out the problems with their work, it was corrected. Very disappointing.

About title costs. In Ohio, title insurance is the same because the Ohio Rates are filed.and do not vary from one company to another. Title companies are heavily regulated and we can not discount . The title exam fee is the cost of doing the title exam and the escrow fee, which is a flat fee regardless of price, is the what we get paid to do all of the escrow closing functions. A very time consuming and labor intensive process that involves following the requirements of the purchase agreement and the lender. coordinating The same work is required no matter what the selling .price of the property. We are an agent of a title insurance company and protect the "American Dream" of home ownership. We have an awesome responsibility that we take very seriously and treat each customer with highest respect.

I highly recommend Gateway Title. This was the third time I purchased a home, but the first time I purchased a home directly from the seller without a realtor. I was looking for a title company that was large enough to have the experience to get the job done, but small enough to still be more personal. I found exactly what I was looking for. I really feel like they had my best interest at heart, because several times they contacted me with concerns about the closing that seemed out of the norm for what they usually see. (like an addendum I typed up myself). Also anytime I called them, they either answered the phone and answered my question on the spot, or got back to me quickly. I'm don't recall the actual cost of the service, but I'm not with the paper work at the moment, and if I wait any longer to write the review it probably won't get done.

I remember [removed member name] quite well and I hope she is loving her new location. We Spent a lot of time answering her questions etc. - Her situation was a bit unusual, but we got it done! I wish she would have given my company an over all A rating Since all A's and 1B don't average out to B. I do know that because we specialize in CLOSING For Sale by owner real estate deals, at times the buyers and sellers think of us as real estate agents and we have to remind them we are title and escrow agent and are a neutral 3rd party. We will answer as many questions as we possibility can. We always return your calls and emails and want to have everything go smoothly. We celebrate with you when title transfer takes place!
