TECHNICIAN WAS PLEASANT AND COMPLETED WORK TO SPECIFICATIONS. SHOWED UP ON TIME AND FINISHED QUICKLY. TOLD IT WOULD COST $65+PARTS. THEY ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM. I HAVE MADE MANY PHONE CALLS TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, SENT A FAX THOROUGHLY OUTLINING THE PROBLEM, INCLUDED THE SECOND ELECTRICIAN'S REPORT, SPECIFICALLY OUTLINING THE DEFICIENCIES AND CODE VIOLATIONS, BUT I HAVE HAD ONLY ONE RETURN CALL THAT WAS BASICALLY AN ARGUMENT ABOUT THE LAMP POST. I JUST WANT TO GET THE ISSUE SETTLED AND STOP GETTING INVOICES THAT I AM NOT PAYING DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT COMPLETE THE WORK AS SPECIFIED. I ACTUALLY THINK PAYING $300 WOULD BE FAIR, AS IT HAS ALREADY COST ME $90 TO REPAIR THE LAMP POST AND PROBABLY WILL COST $200 TO BRING THE PANEL UP TO CODE. I THOUGHT THEY RESPONDED REASONABLY AND PROMPTLY TO THE ORIGINAL REQUEST FOR WORK, BUT GETTING THEM TO FOLLOW UP IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Description of Work: I HAVE NOT PAID YET. THEY WERE CONTRACTED TO FURNISH AND INSTALL A NEW 100 AMP LUG PANEL IN BASEMENT, MAKING EXISTING PANEL A JUNCTION BOX. LOWERED ALL CIRCUITS AND FEEDED TO NEW BASEMENT PANEL. HUNG OUTDOOR FIXTURE (MOTION DECTECTOR LIGHT). INSTALLED POST LIGHT HEAD AND PHOTO CELL. THE WORK WAS TO BE DONE TO CODE. IT WAS NOT, AS CONFIRMED BY ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN (I CAN PROVIDE DETAILS IF NEEDED). THE LAMPPOST NEVER WORKED BECAUSE THERE WAS A SCREW INSTALLED THROUGH THE WIRE (CONFIRMED BY ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN). I HAD GREAT DIFFICULTY GETTING THEM TO RESPOND TO MY CONCERNS - FINALLY, I WAS TOLD I NEEDED NEW WIRE FROM THE HOUSE TO THE LAMP POST (INCORRECT). I OFFERED TO PAY $450 AND HAVE THE PANEL BROUGHT UP TO CODE ON MY OWN. I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN DO THE WORK. I PAID $90 TO ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN TO FIX THE LAMP POST (F AND E SAID IT WOULD BE $1000 TO REPLACE THE WIRES).

I CONTACTED ROB AT FIRE & ELECTRIC. HE ANSWERED MY CALL WITHIN 10 MINUTES. AFTER A BRIEF INSPECTION, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT I HAD A NEUTRAL/HOT REVERSE ON SIX OUTLETS IN THE HOUSE.
