DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. You cannot trust anything they promise. I would never use them again. they did not pick up on time, they did not deliver on time and they added charges after the original contract was signed.

Money was paid but services were not performed. Very deceptive with a big gotcha once you're outside the refund window. I got a reasonable estimate and a projected delivery range of 3-7 days. Once I was outside the cancellation window, USIR sent me a Bill of Lading allowing them to take 30 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE FIRST AVAILABLE DELIVERY DATE to deliver. They require that customers pay half the cost of the move with a cash transfer to book the move. (No credit cards, cash transfer only, which should have been a red flag.) It's their policy that if you cancel within 7 days you get 80% of that back, but they don't tell you that you may be waiting up to 2 - 3 months for your stuff until 3-4 days before the pick up when it's too late to cancel and get 80% of half the move costs refunded. They took me for over $1300. There is no mention of this unreasonable amount of time in the Binding Estimate, nor in any of the other materials provided by USIR. In fact, the estimate and the customer service reps all refer you to their chart based on milage between locations. Our move is within their 3-7 day range. When I called to discuss this 30 business day window, I was told that USDOT requires a 30 business day window be included in the Bill of Lading. That is not true. They also said that it was to cover them in case of weather, traffic delays, break downs - things outside of their control. The Bill of Lading does not say anything about that. It allows USIR to elect to delay delivery for any and all reasons at their discretion. They do offer a Premium Guaranteed Service to get a firm date for delivery, which I inquired about because the move is days away and I didn't want to scramble for an alternative. They could not provide any information about how this guaranteed service worked or what it cost. They said we would have to ask the driver about that and he could give us the estimate and a first available date and guaranteed date when they came to pick up. I find it hard to believe that no one in the business office has basic information on this service. Or, at least, they are not willing to share this information until AFTER I sign the Bill of Lading agreeing to allow USIR sole discretion to set the delivery date and allowing them a 30 business day window beyond that date to deliver. USIR could stipulate a delivery date of 28 days and charge whatever they wanted to guarantee that date or I would have to take my chances and face the prospect of delivery being delayed for another 30 business days AFTER the 28 day 'first available date for delivery'. I have used movers to move cross country twice and they gave estimated delivery of within 10-14 days and everything was on time and professionally managed. This is a much shorter interstate move and there is no reason whatever why USIR can't deliver in the same time frame. It was a tough call between the prospect of finding another way to move at this late date or facing the prospect trying to live in an empty apartment for months. I was not going to sign away my rights and hope that USIR would deliver within the promised 3-7 days. I informed USIR that I was cancelling and I am working to recover 80% of my deposit (half the total). I also agree with the other reviewers. USIR says they're not a broker, but I find that as suspect as the positive reviews. It sure seems like they are a broker because the only answer I got to my questions was - you have to talk to the driver when they arrive to settle on a delivery date and final cost and what exactly a Premium Guaranteed Service is, and every other detail of the move. I spoke to many reps and they all said that the driver/crew are the only ones who can provide basic information about the move. I also find the positive reviews suspect. I am particularly concerned because, after reading the terrible reviews on the Better Business Bureau site, I canceled the job and the first payment. Their rep called me and asked me to reconsider. As part of his pitch, he walked me through the reviews here on angi.com. I really wish I had heeded the Better Business Bureau!

Do not use this company!!! They are scammers. Whatever price they quote you, expect to pay at least double. Horrible customer service. Our shipment arrived with almost half our boxes crushed, even ones marked as fragile. Use a reputable moving company. Worst experience of my life!!!

This company says it is not a broker, but it is. High pressure extortion tactics; when it comes time to load the truck. Beware: their agents will attempt to squeeze lots more money than in the binding estimate out of you by claiming that your bid was too low or that you have more material than originally shared upon. Neither thing was true in our case and we fought back hard. Also: though they say they are not brokers, they sent a crew from a co called “carefree movers” to get our stuff. We were told explicitly when our binding estimate was made by an agent named Tony that this company was not a broker. This is a lie. The 5 star reviews here and elsewhere are suspect. I regret going with this org and ultimately had them return our goods to the point of origin because I did not trust them—especially their brokered company “carefree movers” after reading their reviews—to get our things to their destination. I trusted Angi to only represent reputable companies and this is not one.

Kayson & the movers were kind and carefully packed my belongings when they first arrived. They delivered everything to our new home the day they picked up our belongings. My PC, laptop and study table was packed as I instructed him to do so. I value their precious assistance.

This company went above and for my move. I was worried I would be stranded and have to do everything on my own carrier showed up and helped me pack and got all my items loaded same day and had my items delivered within a week to my new house.

Amazing team! Amazing movers everyone was friendly and efficient. Was able to move with minimal stress or surprises. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with and kept constant communication for me and my family!
