In the dead of winter my furnace died. Response from initial call was less than 2 hours even though they are located in a different city. Within 5 minutes of arrival, Mike, from Tin Man had me up and running again. He stayed and made sure my system would keep on running. He discussed and explained problems, possible solutions, and ideas for improvements. Tin Man cares about their customers and their comfort. They understand that homeowners are at the mercy of some expensive HVAC systems we do not always understand. They know money is tight and do not try to take your hard earned dollars when you suffer a panic situation. They are more concerned about your comfort and making things right than making a 'sale'. They support you and are knowledgable about what is best for you. I trust them completely and consider them to be my 'preferred resource' for all heating/air conditioning needs. I will definately do business with them again. What a relief to find an honest company!!!

I was assured that my furnace would qualify for a tax credit, but it developed that it didn't, because of its being a down draft type furnace, which made it a tiny bit less efficient. However, once this problem was identified, Tin Man reduced their price to an amount that made up for it. I was and still am very impressed and happy with that. And the furnace has been working beautifully and saving energy for almost a year now, though I still intend to clear up a possible issue about the life-time warranty that is also supposed to come with the furnace.

I have used Tin Man many times from fixing old furnaces to getting my yearly furnace inspections done. They have always been very professional and easy to do business with. In fact I had my yearly inspection done this morning and the Tech that did the work remember working on my first house. They kept everything cleaned up as they went and did a great job with the install. Three techs were used and they were done within one day. They even hooked up a broken vent that had never worked.

I had Tin Man out to service my A/C in the spring, and they recommended that I think about replacing some parts, or the whole thing as they weren't sure it would make it through the summer. I was perhaps a little skeptical that their service tech recommended a replacement that they also sell, but I do believe it was legitimate since the unit was quite old. They did what seems to be very high quality work. They also give a comprehensive quote up front and honor it no matter what else they may have to do on the day which was very comforting. For example, they ran some new drain piping, new chimney flue, ran a new electrical outlet etc. Without any hassle whatsoever. They did the work in about 7 hours (during one day), and cleaned up very well. So far the equipment has worked great. Also, they gave us a year of preventative maintenance in addition to our warranty which was a nice extra touch.
