Sky Construction

The builder was awful. Mike Gorman did the work for us. They gave a bid of $478000; but in the end I had tile bills to pay, I had some brick bills to pay and there was no grading or landscaping done. They didn't purchase any kitchen equipment. I had half of the kitchen cabinets to pay and all countertops to pay. I guess in the end we put in about $150000 cash that was so much less to pay which haven't been paid. They put in all the buffs for toilets, I told them I wanted a Koala pictures. We came and saw the stuff here which was regular $20 toilet as it were. He told plumber has a truck load. They know our house too. The interactions with them turned to be okay but then gradually I got frustrated where it seems he was doing according to what he wanted and nothing to do with the plans. We got to invest in dining room, for instance we got five bold lights but we haven't got ring yet because he didn't provide that either. It was not in one level with each other also. I think he didn't know how to do and use of the tape measure or the levels. We have base board but there was no ceilings hold up, we have to do that. He didn't even caulk around the doors and he had not done which was really bad. Unfortunately I had only plenty of money to do the kitchen and the bathroom. There was $15000 money left in the bank and we didn't have enough money. I wouldn't recommend him. Obviously he didn't have any money left with him and he used it somewhere else. It was no good going to lawyer for anything because we spend as much with lawyer as we do getting back. The price was non-existent; my feeling was that he built what we called it as foundation, the roof, he did the internal walls, electric things and the plumbing line but he didn't do anything as it were fixtures such as we had a walk in wardrobes which was not done as well. He didn't manage the money at all. The framework of the house seems to be fine and the brick work was fine but it was the finishing work not done thoroughly. As far as the shell of the house, it would be good but everything else in the house was not up to the mark.
