Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Columbus

These guys assessed our backed up shower and told us that it was just a caught drain valve. They showed us how if we flushed the toilet several times, it would start to drain again. There was no other "service" provided. A week later, when the problem continued, I called Bullfrog Plumbing, who came out and cleaned the drain. There were a bunch of hairballs that were clogging it. I just wish that the Mr. Rooter team had actually done what I paid and requested that they would do, which was CLEAN THE DRAIN. Then I wouldn't have had to pay twice for the same service. I was very happy with Bullfrog and will go with him in the future.

Plumber: KYLE Kyle advised me as to the best type and brand of kitchen faucet to purchase; I found one online and he picked it up from the home improvement store. Kyle is the best plumber ever - punctual, friendly, thoughtful, professional, quick and tidy. More than that, Kyle tries to save you money, which is amazing and utterly appreciated.

I simply wanted to write a quick review for Mr. Rooter despite NOT choosing them to do some work for me. I actually had a horrible experience with Water Works (never call them!) in which they never showed up to fix my main water line which had broken and was pumping a lot of water underground towards my foundation. So I called Mr. Rooter and another company. Alex at Mr. Rooter came out immediately that day (the day Water Works dropped the ball) to diagnose and give me a quote. He even moved some things around to do the work the next day. In the end, I found someone who did the same thing (came out that day, and could do the work the next morning) and at a slightly lower price. But I think it's important to note how much better these guys were than Water Works. In fact, after telling Alex I was going with another company, he left me a message that "if" they too didn't show up the next day, that his crew would on short notice. These guys will have the opportunity to earn my business in the future.

Couldn't be happier with the prompt service we received from the guys at Mr Rooter! The drain pipe from our sump to the street was so clogged that we wound up with lots of water in our basement from an overnight rainstorm. Our window for service was 2-4pm and they were there by 2:30. They were very thorough and explained everything they were doing!

It went great. They were on time. Very friendly.

I was scheduled for an appointment between 2-4p. No call - no show. Trying to figure how they are an Angie's List A member.

This will be a mixed review because of a on going situation. In my last two reviews I had one with A another with F, this one I feel is an A for the service provided by Tyler, Bob and Allen but they were actually fixing a problem that I should have never experienced. Infact that F that was received in my statement from January shouldn't have even needed to be posted if my work was done correctly from the work8 mths earlier. Friday I needed to have Mr. Rooter return to my house for the same problem a clogged drain however I had a clean out drain put in which I told was needed to help with this problem by Alex. After review by Tyler he felt I needed to have a camera inspection because I shouldn't be having this problem so soon. Tyler cleaned the drain to the point it was functioning but made me an appointment for the next morning to see what the issue could be. Next morning I get a visit from Bob, Bob was very nice and stated Tyler informed him of my issue and he had also had my previous paper work pulled o see what had been done. he explained what he was going to do and then got started. About 15 min later he ask me to come look at what he found, Bob showed me my drain through the camera and it was full of grass, roots and there was barely a hole for anything to drain. He told me he had put in a call for a guy to bring out the clean out equipment and he would take care of it. Funny I paid $1600 for a clean out drain to be in stalled plus $212 the day before (8/8/14) because I was clogged which never would of happened if it had been done properly when installed. anyway Bob and Allen cleaned out the pipes, showed me the results. After cleaning Bob also found that my issue was at the transition area from the house and that is the part that would need to be replaced to help prevent clogs, (another $1400-$1500 job) however it wasn't a emergency and he suggested I wait about year and half to have it done which should be the next time if any I needed to have work done with the possible growth of grass and roots. Plus with this time it would also show how fast the growth is. Bob also gave me his card to make sure I get him if I had any problems. Tyler , Bob and Allen are great assets to Mr Rooter. Tyler took the time to go beyond just fixing my clog as the guy did 8 mths prior and he questioned why they were back out so soon. Tyler also sent out someone he trusted to look deeper into my problem. Bob took the time to explain and show me what the problem was, he fixed it and explained what was found and suggested what I should do. I know the work he fixed was costly and he didn't collect anything on it because he was again FIXING work that was left undone by Alex, the worker who I feel sold me a dream because not one time did he show me what needed to be done he offered me the what I felt was my only solution and trusting that fact that I had been dealing with Mr Rooter and Alex on several occasions I went with it only to feel that I have now put thousands of dollars down the drain because I still need to have work done because until Tyler and Bob no one took the time to see what the problem was. Today I will be calling management, owners and who ever else because I shouldn't of had to experience this for so long, I have paid way to much money.**** I truly thank Tyler and Bob with the help of Allen for taking time to make sure me and my family could function with out fear of it backing up when we showered or washed laundry every time we turned around..

It was great. I was in a jam, so i was willing to pay more for a rush. My appointment was to be in the window of 4-6pm and i had called around 1:30. At 145, they called and said someone could come earlier and they sent Alex H. Alex showed up, we talked through the issue and he suggested a different type of jet cleaning that was over and above the normal snake and root show. It was a lot of money, much more than i expected but there was an angie's list discount and i felt comfortable with him. The special truck showed up 15-20 minutes later and they were done, cleaned up and out of the house by 4:30 pm. Drain cleaned, 1 year warranty and a camera run through the drain to see if there were additional issues. These guys are great--you get what you pay for.

This morning provider said they would be out between 4 and 6 PM Said they would provide iup to an hour notice 6:15PM i had received no call and no notice so I called the office they told me that someone would be out tonight but would call At 7:15 said they were leaving to come to my job at and that they would be here less than an hour I Called again at 8:30 supervisor said sorry they went to other job due to computer problem

The provider arrived ahead of schedule. He proceeded to investigate and diagnose the issue. The provider also did an inspection of all other faucets and water tank.

He was not able to help us because we did not have a mantel and he did not carry one but let us know exactly what we needed and how we could fix. Very knowledgable and very professional.

Mr. Rooter was late providing an estimate and their original estimate was very high. We needed two items completed. The line under the kitchen was not to code as well as the main line valve needed replaced. We were told by several plumbers as well as Mr. Rooter that replacing the main line valve could break the main line and we would then have to replace the line to the street. We received two quotes from several plumbers, one to replace the valve and one to replace the main line if it broke in the process. Mr. Rooter came back with an exceptionally high quote on replacing the main line if it broke. I contacted them to tell them I was going with another company because I could not risk breaking the main line and paying the price they quoted me to repair it. At that point, Mr. Rooter said they would guarantee that they would not break the main line replacing the valve and if they did break the main line they would replace it at no cost to me. With that guarantee they went from being the most expensive to being the least expensive. I went ahead and hired them, they did both jobs, did not break the main line and were finished quickly. I mentioned I would hire them again but I would still get several quotes from others before doing so because they originally quoted me much higher than anyone else.

I purchased a deal for a drain cleaning. I was able to get this scheduled right away and they were out for service the next day. I would use this company for future plumbing services.

Great job. Quick (my boyfriend had been struggling with it unsuccessfully for several hours, but mr.rooter cleared it successfully in jig time!

Came in, did his work thoroughly and completely. Certainly not a "talker". :)

The experience was positive and I thing it was great. He is usually professional and honest. That was a big deal.

I had to also call them back to work on my water heater and as before he knew what was wrong and just fixed it with out trying to sell me a new water heater. Quick, friendly and cleaned up their mess. He was wonderful. It was a terrible snowy day and they came on time and got everything done.

This was a great experience. They taught me along the way with things I should know about my system. They also took the time to install a temporary sump pump to ensure the rain water and ground water that was coming wouldn't back up in my home.

Discovered the disgusting sewer backup over the weekend (tree roots in the main line). So I was hoping for a pretty quick response when I started calling some Angie's list plumbers Monday morning. Mr. Rooter answered the phone the first time and scheduled an appointment the same day. Terrific job. Cleared the lines of course, but also took extra effort to clean up the bulk of the mess, which was above and beyond. Would certainly use this company again.

They did fine. They showed up on time. Very professional . When they left, everything was cleaned up. No problems at all.

It went really well. I was very satisfied with David D's work and his politeness. He was very helpful. Before David came out John Howard came to remove a hose that was connected and another company could not do it. John also gave me an estimate for other repairs. He as very informative and polite as well.

They did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with them. They used a camera to see what was causing the damage with the pipes, which helped me understand the job process. They inspected thoroughly before they started digging, and explained everything to me.

The problem was fixed. The cleanliness of the work receives an "F"!!!!!! Anytime you are dealing with a toilet or drain, it is dirty work. I get that. I have had other plumbers who left the area clean. However, there were "traces' of the "debris" on the wall outside of the 1/2 bath!! Really!?! When he left, the sink was dirty. Under the sink was left very dirty!!! He used gobs of my toilet paper as rags and left them piled in the toilet!

We had been having trouble with a bathroom sink drain and using drain cleaner what seemed like several times every couple of months. We found this deal on Angie's list for Mr. Rooter draining cleaning and decided to give it a try. The plumber that showed up cleaned the drain and got water flowing down the drain again. We were concerned that we might have issues further down in the old pipes, but he felt confident that it was drain. This work was done in October, it is now March and the drain is still working well! The plumber (can't remember his name) was great and even offered some advice without trying to sell us any further services.
