For price, I thought they were very reasonable because I had some coupons. They were punctual. They performed the work that they were supposed to perform. I think they up graded their equipment actually. It is more up to date than what was in the house originally.

On Tuesday I scheduled my appointment for Mr. Electric to come over on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. my wife received a call from Mr. Electric informing her that they were running late, but she reminded Mr. Electric that the appointment was scheduled for Wednesday from 2-4, and not on Tuesday. Then Mr. Electric agreed to come over on Wednesday from 2-4. On Wednesday, approximately 2:30 p.m., Mr. Electric called and informed me that they were running late. Then at 6 p.m. Mr. Electric called and said they would not be able to make it over today, but could meet with me on Friday. Clearly, Mr. Electric has a scheduling problem, and combine that with the miscommunication within their own company results in a bad customer experience that leads me to question the quality of their services. I decided to look for another “good” electrician since Mr. Electric does not treat their new customer’s right, and Mr. Electric is not dependable.

Scheduling went fine. First appt was scheduled for the evening of Nov 3rd. They called stating the previous job was runnning late and could they reschedule. We rescheduled to the weekend. A manager called the morning of the appointment to say the electrician had called in sick and they needed to reschedule again. He offered a $100 comp for the inconvenience. The third appointment was then scheduled for monday nov 7th between 6 and 8pm. They said the electrician would call 30 minutes ahead so we figured we'd hear from them by 7:30 and have them arrive by 8pm. No call was received. I called their Westlake call center and canceled the request and asked that we be removed from their database
Description of Work: Scheduled an appt with Mr Electric to get a quote for six projects in our home (outlets, lights, etc). The work was not done - the company rescheduled twice and missed the third appointment

I contacted Mr. Electric and was given an appointment for diagnostic. I later received a call asking if the electrician could come early which was great. He was courteous and very professional. He made the diagnosis of the problem and we had him to make the repair. I was able to use the coupon from Angie's List. Outstanding service!!!!

Great! While the electrician was here he also offered to look at our circuit breaker because our oven kept kicking the circuit breaker off. He discovered that the screws to breaker were loose and tighten them. This saved us from having another service call. He also did a great job on the new outlet.

Mgr Mike Carte was great! He came out the day before and gave me estimate on job.. I had an issue with a stove Sears had delivered and it was approx 1/2 inch too wide for the space in my kitchen and also had been hard wired so I needed a new outlet put in...Also had been told a while ago that I needed an updated panel box in basement so I wanted to get that done.. He said for the price of the new panel box downstairs they would also install the outlet for stove and he would have the tech trim back my counter top so my stove would fit !! So the next day tech Dion came out and did all the work and went above and beyond by trimming back my counter top for me and did a great job so I could actually push my stove back in where it needed to be! HOORAY! Thanks so much to Mike and Dion who did a great job of making me one very happy and satisfied customer !! And a week later I recieved a coupon in the mail for $50 off any future job! Thanks!!

Our experience with Mr. Electric was great! We needed a ceiling fan installed in a bedroom that did not already have a light installed. He had to crawl up in the attic to put in a new box, which wasn't easy considering how hot it was that day. We had a Angie's List coupon and he compared it to the company's current promos to make sure we were getting the best deal. He also advised they had a current promo for ceiling fan replacement. We had an outdated fan in another bedroom we had planned to replace eventually, so we ran out and purchased a new one and he did them both on the same day. He also provided us with some general electrical advice, as it was pretty obvious we were in the middle of a huge renovation. We just moved to a small town so finding good, reliable contractors is hard. We will be hanging on to his information!

Replace entrance cable to Meter and Panel. Installed 200 amp panel. Installed 30 amp, 20 amp, 15 amp breakers that look like labels are worn. Not new looking. I had newer breakers in old panel with same part number, but they were removed and taken with old panel. Entrance cable was brought in from bottom and terminated at top. Panel is capable of either if panel rotated so cable does not have to run from one end to the other. Permit was pulled and delivered before job completed so it was on hand for inspector. Permit fee was included, but not AEP's disconnect and connect fee to install permanent crimp on incoming line. [150.00]. Crimps on Line are screw clamps by electrician and are replace by high pressure crimps by AEP. Received 15% discount after reminding Tech and manager it was published in Angie's list . The work was satisfactory. I think the price is high [3125.00] for what was done. Mr Electric should send 2 tech's out on upgrades. My understanding at quote time was that all Equipment, fee's and permits are included. So the price was 2656.75 + 150.00 = approximate $2806.75 with senior discount.

I felt their pricing was a little bit exorbitant. They should work on their pricing structure. They have a price list they look at and say it costs a $100 to put a light bulb in, they should evaluate the job and price accordingly.

Nate could not have been more professional from the estimate provided to the installation process in which he used a drop cloth, foot covers and sweeper all provided by him. The two ceiling fan installation were estimated to be complete within 5-6 hours and actual time was 5 1/2 hours. Nate was no non-sense and got right to the installations. I was very pleased with the way he went about the installation. The Florida room offered some concerns and through discussions with Nate on options we came to a very appealing conclusion. One other provider came out to the house and shared what they could not do rather than what the possibilities were, we did not use them. Another provider did not return our call.
Description of Work: Provided an estimate on 6/15/16, which Nate was on time. Previous appointment was rescheduled at the time of the previous appointment to eliminate any possibility of inconvenience. Nate provided solutions to new installations of two ceiling fans that did not have any wire run or prior installation hardware.

I made an appointment to have Mr, Electric come and do some work for me. The window they gave me was 10-12. When I didn't hear from them at 11:00 I called and was told that I was on their schedule. A half hour later I received a call saying they were running a "little" late. I took off work until 2 assuming they would be finished. When I didn't hear from them by 1:00 I called to cancel. Each time I spoke to someone they were rude and could have cared less that I had taken time off work or that I was cancelling. Not impressed at all!

Late Wednesday evening my smoke detector started beeping. All attempts to fix it failed- changing battery, resetting the device, turning power off to the device. Not knowing what else to do I called Mr. Electric expecting to leave a message on voicemail. I was very suprised when at 9:30 p.m. on a Wednesday evening they answered the phone! I needed a vist the next afternoon as I was leaving on vacation that evening. Even though they had no open appointments they indicated they would do whatever it took to send someone over and they gave me a 2-hour window of my choice!! Even though I figured out that actually the issue ended up being my carbon monoxide detector and called them to cancel the appointment they were so courteous and pleasant I added their number to my quick contacts to use the next time I need their services. This company obviously values their customers!!

I used Mr. Electric of Columbus. They were here 4 months ago. I had underground electric and it went bad on me and so we just ran a new line from the attic over to my garage. I would tell a friend that they were prompt, they came when they said they would be here, and they were very neat. When they were finished everything was cleaned up. They were good. I thought they were a little pricey but I hadn't had electrical work done in years so maybe they were okay. I didn't shop around. I was satisfied with the work so that's the most important thing. I think it was around $500.

Came out for an estimate on a very simple job. I supplied the hardware. Showed up on time, very courteous. Surprised I had my own materials (per the lady I set appointment with that was fine) took a look at the job had to go write up an estimate and call the boss to get pricing. Came back and wanted $804 for a job I estimated at 3 hours. I was shocked and said thanks but no thanks. Called another , Efficient Electric, sent 2 guys, finished in 1.5 hours, $275. Beware the pricing.

Overall I was very happy with the job. They were clean and checked in several times throughout the installation to make sure things were as I wanted. The cost was a little high for what was done in my opinion. The only major issue was they were scheduled for 8 a.m. Around 9:15 someone other than we were expecting shows up without a great deal of knowledge about the project. It took him till 11 a.m. till he was able to get started. I was expecting the gentleman who did our estimate and knew what we needed and wanted to be here at 8 ready to work. Everything works perfectly and again they were very clean and professional.

I was called earlier in the day asking if they could send someone early because a "technician" was available at the time. I told the Dispatch office that I could not be available prior to 5:00 PM. I then waited with the expectation of arrival between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. At 7:57 PM, I received a call that dropped and then I called the office back and was told that the "technician" was still busy with an earlier job and would be working that job the rest of the evening. I was told that there was an issue with another technician and some theft of tools or something similar (not my concern) and that I would need to be rescheduled. I was then asked if I could be rescheduled for earlier in the day tomorrow when more techs are available. I advised the rep that I chose them because of their later hours and that I would not be rescheduling. I also advised that a call should have been made much earlier when they realized they would not make the window instead of waiting. I've had good luck with the company in the past and didn't mind paying the premium that Mr. Electric charges (in my opinion) to have a more flexible option for scheduling. Too bad the company doesn't feel it necessary to show some courtesy to repeat customers.

The estimate from Mr. Electric $2,300.00 to replace the exhaust fan, framing, and an attic fee. I got other estimates, including one from sears, who stated there was two ball barrings that needed to be replaced, but nothing else. Since the service the fan has been working just fine. I feel like Mr. Electric was going to rip me off.
