Mr. Electric of Columbus

Ed came out and gave an estimate for installing an attic fan on Thursday. We made an appointment for Monday. When I called Monday to find out what time he would come, he said that the fan needed two people to install (which he had seen on the previous Thursday) and that he didn't have anybody to help him. We then scheduled an appointment for Thursday. On Thursday morning he had someone from the office call and state that the fan was too big and I would have to get a framer to install the frame and he would then put in the electrical. I contacted the owner of the company and he stated that he would find a fan that they could install and call me back. On Tuesday of the following week I had not heard from the owner so I called and left a message for him to call me. It has now been over a week and no one has even bothered to call me back. This took up three days of my week waiting on them to show up and clearing my schedule for them to never even show up or call.

I thought it was easy to use this company. They got back to me right away and sent someone to give me an estimate. The electrician was polite and professional and put the outlets where I wanted them.

The job took longer than expected. They had to come back a week later to finish. But all was done very nicely and neatly, and cleaned up at day's end. Very pleased with the final product.

Approx 2 weeks ago our grandkids turned on the basement lights - the lights stayed on for a few seconds and then the basement went totally dark. There were no blown circuits. I thought it was something that I could fix and started troubleshooting at the 3-way switches in the basement. After messing with the problem for a couple of days, I consulted Angie's List and called Mr. Electric. They responded within a day and set up a time to come for a service call. They were a little outside of their appointment time (30 minutes). The electrician, Ed Eckman, was a professional. He listened to my tale and went to work. After a bit, Ed determined that there was nothing wrong with the switches, breakers or main power box -- the problem was apparently in the wall. A previous "handyman" had wired outdoor garage lights and must have damaged a wire? Using a work-around, Ed back-fed the bad circuit into a good circuit. This fixed the problem. Ed put in a lot of work running up and down the basement steps and checking outlets and switches. His service time and cost were conservative. We have lights again!

He was very nice, came in and did his work, and left.

They also removed heater fan unit and capped off the wires. They were supposed to bring a replacement unit but never did.

He was on time. He did a very good job and I was pleased. He bent over backward to make sure I was happy. He tried to fix all my problems. He was very neat and kept it clean.

I used Angie's List to find this provider. He arrived when he said he would. He did the job in a short amount of time. He was pleasant and seemed to know his business. I thought the price was a little expensive but I didn't shop around, so I can't say say for sure. The cost for the switch was $20.

We were remodeling a kitchen and part of the job included removing a large soffit. Much to our disappointment, we found most of our electrical ran through the soffit and needed to be rerouted. Ralph estimated the job and a week later he and Tyler did all of the work. The job lasted a little more than a day and a half. Both of them were punctual, professional, friendly and helpful. The work was about 30% more than the original estimate which was still in the ball park with the other quotes so I wasn't too upset as the job was undertaken as time and material. I was satisfied with their work and the only change I would make would be to request an itemized invoice, as it was very vague with a line for labor and a line for materials with no additional detail behind it. Overall I would have these guys do work for me again and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

He's very courteous and we've had a lot of work done by him over the past few years. He's kind of one of the family any more. Very competent. Always able to solve the problem. Works until he gets done.

Received estimate at inspection. The work was done in about 6 hrs. on time and in good order. They corrected some wiring that others could not find.

I am very happy with the service. Jeremy was very friendly and polite. The original service call was to replace the broken light bulb. He fixed that very quickly. After that was done, he asked if there was anything else he could do for me. He said he felt bad charging $150 dollars to basically replace a light bulb. So, I asked him for an estimate on replacing a ceiling fan upstairs. After that, I could not think of anything else, so he went to get the bill. When he was outside, I thought of the GF outlet in our basement that was not working. When he came back inside, I mentioned it to him and he was happy to check it out. He said that he would gladly replace it and the only extra charge would be the cost ($25) of the new outlet. He finished that in no time. I am very happy with Jeremy and Mr. Electric and plan to call on them again after we get some lighting fixtures picked out to be installed.

Very well. Mike Magers did a great job. He was prompt and professional. It was a cold day and my garage door was frozen. I was very upset because I could not get the garage door to shut. He stated he would take a look at it and found a loose wire. I appreciated that he offered to check it for me. I plan on hiring him again to do some electrical work in my hallway.

They were very neat and tidy, you wouldn't have even known they were there.

Excellent work and service. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this company for any type of electrical work. The price was fair. The electricians worked hard and did a super job.

Work was done in a professional manner. The guys cleaned up after they were finished. Couldn't tell they were ever here, except we could now use our lamps in the great room. Excellent work. They didn't mind that two of my young grandchildren (3 & 5) were looking over their shoulder the whole time. Extremely nice to the kids.

Excellent. Mike called ahead, as promised, and was actually early for the appointment. Mike was polite, professional, funny, worked quickly and explained everything in clear, understandable terms. All of this made me nervous, of course - I was sure he was an impostor as very few service providers are this efficient and sincere. I've had good luck with contractors through Angie's List, but they just keep getting better. Mike's work overlapped with the actual dryer and washer delivery - he made the transaction seamless when it could have been a real hassle. If all home improvement projects were this enjoyable, I'd start flipping houses! KUDOS to MR. ELECTRIC - from Annette (the office manager) to Mike (service technician), our experience was FABULOUS. Keep up the awesome work.

The service tech arrived on time and was very professional. We had originally called to have two ceiling fans taken down but we decided to replace the ceiling fans that very morning. The technician had no problem taking down and installing one of the fans. He made us aware of a problem with the original installation of one of the fans - which was installed improperly and could have caused a fire. We plan on having him back to install the fan in the second bedroom - which needed additional materials. He was very neat!!! Both rooms were left clean - no leftover debris.
