Fence Specialists

They were polite and prompt when I called for an estimate and they were very easy to work with. They came when they said they were going to be there. The gentleman that came in to put the fence was very easy to work with and was meticulous in cleaning up after himself. He was also very understanding about my very active puppy.

It took me a while to pick what I wanted. Once I did, it took Brent a while to get it in. I think my order was too small and customized to warrant its own freight, so Brent had to find the 9 or so panels from extras across the country. Because it took so long to find the materials, it also took a long time to get it installed. They started a 4 ft. door when I ordered a 5 ft. but by the end (maybe 1.5 months), I had the perfect fence...straight, clean, a perfect fit. It's the best investment. If you are not in a rush, I would recommend Fence Specialists every time.

The process took longer than expected because the cable company put the flags for the cable line were inaccurately placed. That caused Fence Specialists to have to dig manually. But they did a wonderful job. The materials are top-notch and the crew was hard-working. I highly recommend.

Job was done well. After installing the fence posts and fencing, the company did take 2 weeks to put up the post caps, but they told us they were on back-order so we knew about the delay. Only weak point was a small section of fence which bridged the gap from the last post to our shed. It was poorly built but the company came out and re-built it.

My fence looks great. I'm very pleased with their work. I have recommended them and will continue to do so.

They did a really neat job, cleaned up after themselves. I have a warranty on my new fence. I am really happy with them.

The estimate took about a week to get. We were told approximately how much it would be before we got it so we weren't surprised at the cost. The company kept in touch when there was a change of one day for the date they would start. The man who came and did the installation was simply amazing. It was extremely hot and he worked from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for three days. He had a different helper each day but they seemed to have a lot less energy than the main worker. He was like the energizer bunny, working so diligently all day. Some parts were not available at the time of the initial installation but they wanted to get it up so we could get our dogs exercised which we appreciated. As soon as the parts came in, the same man came on a Sunday to install them. I was very impressed with his work ethic. Although the cost of a vinyl fence this large is pretty staggering we were very happy with the company and the work.

WE DID HAVE TO WAIT AWHILE FOR THEM TO COME OUT BUT IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS DURING THE SPRING WHEN EVERYONE WAS LOOKING TO HAVE WORK DONE. THEY TOLD US AHEAD OF TIME THAT THERE WOULD BE A WAIT. WE TOLD THEM WE WEREN'T IN A HURRY AND WE DIDN'T WANT TO GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. WE ALSO DON'T MIND WAITING IF WEREN'T NOT IN A HURRY. SO, WE WIRED UP THE GATES OURSELVES UNTIL THEY COULD COME OUT. WHEN THEY DID COME OUT, THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD AND IT WAS A DIFFICULT JOB SINCE OUR FENCE WAS AN ACRE AND 1/2. ALSO, SINCE THEY WERE DOING SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB, WE HAD THEM REPLACE SOME POST RAILS FOR US. I WILL PROBABLY CALL THEM BACK NEXT YEAR TO REPLACE MORE RAILS FOR US.

I found this company on Angie's list. I sent them an email, and received no response. I called their office and no-one answered, just an answering machine. Called the next day, and left a message. She called me back and told me they were having a delay with their email. We set up a time to do the estimate. The owner was prompt, polite, and quick. He told me that all he had to do is "plug the numbers into the computer" and he'd mail me an estimate. (I live in the same city as this company) It's been two weeks and no estimate. I understand we have a small job, but I explained that from the beginning. Two weeks is excessive for an estimate. Tired of waiting, we've gone with another company that provided an estimate on site, and is eager to do the work (also rated very well on Angie's list).

They used great materials and were very pleasant. They got the work done quickly and efficiently. I'd invite anyone over to see my fence!

Overall, I was very pleased with Fence Specialists. The price was comparable to other estimates, but their responsiveness and ability to a couple follow-up items I had. The quality of the work is second to none. My new fence is wonderful. It's the talk of the neighborhood!

The fence looks wonderful but there were a few hiccups along the way. All had to do with communication. Had initially emailed request for an estimate but web site was down and after several days called them instead. Written estimate was late getting to me. Utility company was not called in time to mark for hazards so job was postponed 2 days. Crew was not aware of easement on my property and had to move the supports. Delays were all explained and/or corrected ASAP. Everyone was polite and professional. Yard was cleaned up well after they were done. Crew finished on time even with the delay and a thunder storm. They were quiet. Estimate was over $2000 less than other companies because Melissa took the time to measure exactly what I wanted rather than base the estimate on my plot plan. That alone made any problems easy to cope with. The final product was well worth it!!! I don't work a traditional schedule and they were willing to work around it. Would use them again.

Brent came to our home to do some measurements and give us an estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and honest about what was possible for our yard. After we received 3 quotes from 3 different companies, we decided to hire Brent and Fence Specialist. We had a time constraint, and they were able to start work immediately in order to meet this constraint. Our yard presented some difficulties, but the builders did a great job working around these obstacles. They carefully hand dug the majority of our post holes in order to work around power and cable lines, tree roots, and our irrigation system. They were also able to keep our fence as close as possible to our back property line which backs up to a line of trees. The builders also did a great job of cleaning up the yard when they were finished. Everyone was very professional. The fence turned out exactly as we had envisioned. The craftsmanship is sturdy and beautiful, and the price was very fair.

They showed up on time for the initial estimate. They were very courteous and did quality work. They were also very conscientious to meet the specs for our subdivision. The owner also dropped by every night to be certain things were going well.

Fantastic - I could not be more pleased. Quote: When Brent came out to give a quote, which was a very fair price, he used his drill and helped my dad hang bird houses (the battery in ours had died). Building: The fence was built when it was estimated, the quality of the fence was fantastic, it is exactly what I wanted and what had been discussed during the quote. Follow-up: Brent and his team were also helpful (days later) in helping me find where a family member (not related to the fence building) had accidentally left the tractor. If I could give this company an A++++ I would. I highly recommend them.

At fist everything was going well then the storm hit in April and we had snow and that delayed them a few days. They then finished up on the weekend in the rain to make sure they didn't delay the fence any longer. They added another gate to the other side of the house as well. All in all the fence looks fantastic and their attention to detail went a long way with me. The guys were very courteous and was very careful especially since we have flower beds around 90% of the fence. Brent the owner was easily reached and asked quite a few times was everything okay, how does everything look, are you satisfied. It has been a long time since I ran into people, who took pride in the work they do. You cannot go wrong with Fence Specialists. I highly recommend them. BTW I got estimates and talked to a number of Contractors on this list for fences and they are far and away the best.

The fence post needs to be reset and we scheduled an appointment in Spring. I was very pleased with the service.

The crew was very patient from the intrusion of my neighbor, to moving a gate over to a different section than what they had. If we had a question about anything, they stopped for as long as it took to answer our questions and didn't seem to want to be rude and answer fast and get back to work.

Very pleased. The fence is beautiful. The workers were good about asking and answering questions. Weather caused a few delays, but the work was completed within two work weeks.

Company was very good about getting a professional proposal back to us and giving us references for fencing projects performed. They followed up with scheduling and actually started on the day we requested. We had a few hiccups during the work, but they communicated very well and corrected any problems. I'd be happy to recommend them.

The overall experience was satisfactory. During the bidding process it sometimes took a week to get a response to a question. It was the summer so I assume they were busy. The owner says he gave us an upgrade on the boards for that inconvenience. They look very nice. He also came out to settle a misunderstanding about the actual length of spacing between the boards.

They did a satisfactory job. However, they come out when ever they wanted to, they don't notify you that they are even coming.

My fence was leaning and they were able to straighten it out perfectly. They did a very, very good job and were also very reasonably priced. Also they finished it all in one day.

THE WORK WAS DONE VERY WELL, AND THE PLACE WAS LEFT CLEAN. REACHING THEM TO GET THE ESTIMATE WAS DIFFICULT. THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, SHOWING THE EXACT DRAWING OF THE YARD/TASK. BUT, THEY DID NOT SHOW UP ON THE DAY THEY HAD COMMITTED TO, AND WERE LATE ON THE NEXT DAY. HOWEVER, I WOULD RE-HIRE THEM BECAUSE I CARE MORE ABOUT QUALITY WORK THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

VERY PROFESSIONAL ESTIMATE, WORK WAS DONE ROUGHLY ON-SCHEDULE, ALTHOUGH BRENT AND THE CEW WERE APPARENTLY NOT ALWAYS ON THE SAME PAGE ABOUT THE SCHEDULE. POSTS WERE INITIALLY SET TOO SHORT, BUT CREW RETURNED SAME EVENING, AND WORKED TILL AFTER DARK TO RESET ALL POSTS. ONLY OTHER COMPLAINT IS THAT A GREAT MANY NAILS WERE MISSING FROM THE BOARDS ALTHOUGH THERE WERE HOLES. APPARENTLY THEIR NAIL GUN WAS MALFUNCTIONING & THEY SHOULD HAVE RE-CHECKED THE BOARDS TO MAKE SURE ALL WERE FASTEND PROPERLY. I DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM ABOUT A MONTH AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETE & DECIDED TO BUY NAILS AND FIX IT MYSELF. OTHERWISE, THE FENCE TURNED OUT VERY NICE LOOKING, AND WE ARE GENERALLY PLEASED WITH IT.
