Description of Work: I contacted this provider a week ago about digging post holes for a 6 ft fence install. When I spoke with the owner Brent he told me that he couldn't do it because he and his crew would be in Florida. He told me he had another Guy could do it but I was uneasy from the start. He told me that he could have a Guy come out Wednesday. I told Brent that I had gotten several estimates and that the person or company with the quickest response and best reputation time would earn my business. Brent tried to hurry me off the phone and as a result I didn't feel comfortable with his business because of their lack of professionalism. Disgusted with whole process I contacted Elite fence who came out and did a stellar job that Saturday. I called Brent to cancel but couldn't remember which companies I contacted. Brent called me today to confined and I told him the work was already done and apologized for the late notice. He immediately cops an attitude and tells me how many jobs he lost.Stay Away.

Description of Work: Our cedar fence is beautiful and the workmanship outstanding. The crew worked well together, completed the job in the 3-day time period originally agreed upon, asked questions, followed up and respected our property (i.e. plants, yard decor, etc.). They will return in a few months to stain the fence. I highly recommend them!

Description of Work: 05/04/11 - After receiving an apology from the owner, I agreed to give Fence Specialists another try. He and a helper arrived this morning about 9:00 and worked on my fence for about an hour. The fence opens and closes much better now. I was even provided a new gate handle. I'm glad I forgave the early mishap in scheduling and had this work completed today. April 22, 2011 - I needed someone to repair my fence's gate so I bought the Angie's List Big Deal. I was the second person to purchase the deal and immediately contacted the company via phone to schedule service. I left a message since no one answered. Three days later I still had not heard from a company representative. On the fourth day, I sent an email, asking if this method of communication was the preferred method. Almost immediately, the owner of the business called me, saying he had received so much business that he was having a hard time scheduling everyone. He set our appointment for 8:00-8:30 the following Friday (four days after the phone call). I stayed home from work, but he never showed up. It was raining lightly, but I never received a call to cancel the service so I waited until 8:45 before I called to see if he had forgotten to come. Again, no one answered so I left a message and drove to work. A couple of hours later the owner called apologizing and stating that he hadn't come since it had been raining. I called Angie's List and requested a refund of the $125 I had been charged for the service. I'm now looking for another repair company.

WE HAD TO CALL THEM BACK BECAUSE SOME OF THE POSTS HAD BECOME LOOSE, THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND CAME RIGHT BACK TO FIX THEM. WE WERE VERY PLEASED.

 + -1 moreNICE PEOPLE, VERY POLITE AND COURTEOUS. THEY DID DO AN EXCELLENT JOB INSTALLING THE FENCE, AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE ONLY CONCERN I HAVE, IS THAT THEY NEVER CAME BACK TO FOLLOW UP AND LOOK AT THE FENCE, AS IT WAS SUB-CONTRACTED TO ANOTHER MAN, AND THE MAN WHO DID THE WORK NEVER CAME BACK FOR THE BRACING MATERIALS. I HAD TO TAKE THEM DOWN MYSELF AND THEY ARE SITTING IN MY GARAGE. NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME AGAIN UNTIL THEY WANTED THEIR MONEY. THE PRICE WAS GOOD. I WOULD HAVE TO THINK ABOUT HIRING THEM AGAIN.

 + -1 moreIT WAS A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END. THEY RETURNED CALLS, PROMPTLY, TO SCHEDULE A TIME TO COME AND DO THE ESTIMATE. BRENT HAD TO CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE, BECAUSE OF A FAMILY ILLNESS, BUT HE CALLED, APOLOGIZED AND WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE WHEN RESCHEDULING. THE FENCE WAS INSTALLED IN A DAY AND A HALF. THEY DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP AND HAULING AWAY THE TRASH. THE INSTALLERS DID CUT THROUGH THE DRAIN PIPE, BUT THEY RETURNED TO FIX THE PIPE WITHIN 3 DAYS. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS A CONCERN... WE HAD TO CALL THEM TO RETURN AND SECURE THE PICKETS TO THE RAILS, BUT THEY HELD THEIR INVOICE FOR FINAL PAYMENT UNTIL THAT WORK WAS COMPLETE.
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED 180 FEET OF WHITE VINYL FENCE. MOST OF THE FENCE WAS A WHITE PICKET, WITH ONE SECTION A PRIVACY FENCE.

 + -1 moreBRENT WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE OUR FIRST APPOINTMENT, HOWEVER I WAS CALLED SEVERAL HOURS AHEAD OF TIME AND I RESCHEDULED. ONCE WE MET, BRENT TOOK THE TIME TO HELP ME DESIGN MY FENCE, AND OFFERED A ''BALLPARK'' QUOTE RIGHT ON THE SPOT, WHICH WAS WITHIN 5% OF THE ACTUAL QUOTE THAT WAS MAILED. THE POSTS WERE INSTALLED IN ONE DAY AND THE FENCING A FEW DAYS LATER (RAIN HELD THE JOB OUT). I DID NOT LIKE HOW TWO SECTIONS OF THE FENCE WERE INSTALLED ( A PERSONAL PREFERENCE) AND BRENT CAME OUT AND FIXED THE ISSUE ON A FRIDAY EVENING AT 7:30 P.M., WITHOUT EVEN BEING PROMPTED. THE KNOT FREE CEDAR THAT WAS USED IS VERY PRETTY, AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING. THE SERVICE I RECEIVED WAS SECOND TO NONE. THANKS FOR THE DEDICATION TO PROVIDING QUALITY WORK BRENT! OH YEAH, HE WAS $1000 CHEAPER THAN THE OTHER QUOTE I RECEIVED.

HE CALLED AND LEFT ME A MESSAGE AND TOLD ME IT ONLY TOOK HIM A FEW MINUTES TO REPLACE THE SCREW AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE. I TOLD HIM THAT HE STILL SHOULD CHARGE ME SOMETHING SINCE HE DID DRIVE TO MY HOUSE AND DID WORK. TO DATE, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A BILL FROM HIM.
