LEGENDS DISTRIBUTION

I was referred to Bill at Legends Distribution by a contractor I had considered using for a kitchen design. Bill was extremely professional and thorough. He was very prompt in creating design plans, and was happy to meet me at a supplier's store, his office, or my home on short notice to move the project along. He is very knowledgeable about the construction industry and had a lot of great advice. Unfortunately, things didn't work out with the contractor I had chosen. That contractor was sluggish about preparing estimates and didn't want to pull permits or sign a contract. As the contractor seemed to have a close working relationship with Bill, I did not see a tactful way to continue using him as a supplier without using that contractor. And unfortunately, Bill seemed to be of the same mind - he asked me several times to start ordering building supplies before I'd gotten things settled with the contractor. He also pressured me not to get permits. Perhaps some people are ok doing business on a handshake and trying to fly under the radar - I'm not. I do think we also had a little friction over design details because Bill seems to focus on traditional styles, and I am very much interested in a contemporary or transitional look. For someone who is not so concerned with paperwork, and is looking for a traditional style, I think Bill would probably do a fine job. It just simply wasn't a match for my project.

They did an excellent job. Removal of the old windows and installation of the new ones was done quickly and professionally. They kept the work are clean and clean up after themselves. We will be using them to replace more windows in hour home in 2014, too.

We went to the Legends Distribution showroom in Berea and talked to Larry about new sliding doors. He showed us the options we had in doors and handles, etc. He also explained how the whole process would work. A few days later someone (I forget his name) came to our house and measured for the new doors, went over our options again and explained the process again. Within 5 weeks the doors were ready and we had a date scheduled for installation. The installers showed up on time every day, were very friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job with the installation. Our experience was all positive. The only exception might be the silver aluminum strip along the bottom of the door, but that is Andersen's design, not Legend Distributions workmanship.
