In-Home Computer Assistance

Brian arrived promptly the day after I called him. He cleaned up dome old programs I had that were slowing my computer down, synced my iPhone and iPad's mail accounts and answered all my questions patiently. I had been thinking about getting a new computer, but with Brian's help and advice I don't need to spend the money now.

Brian quickly diagnosed the problem, suggested a method to improve the computer's speed, and gave me an estimate. He then quickly and efficiently made the improvements, the computer ran much better, and his price was as he had estimated. Very courteous and professional service.

Brian came in and we started in the basement with my firewall computer that ran 24/7. He ran diagnostics on all the wires and what went into what. He tried to explain everything to me, but not being very computer literate, I think I lost half of what he did! But I sure was happy when we turned the firewall off for good! Next he came upstairs and installed great anti virus protection on my work computer and laptop computer. He set up my new e mail account for me and showed me how to do a back up on my laptop. All in all, I learned a few new things and I was very, very pleased with all the work Brian did! What a smart young man and he was very, very nice also! Thanks Brian, the computers are running happy and healthy!

Brian was a great discovery. He is very knowledgeable and willing to assist not only with set of computer equipment but also the purchase of that equipment. He was patient and very helpful in every part of this set up. He was very punctual and returned calls promptly. I called and left a message on his answering machine and he called back within the hour. He was very nice. I took my computer to his home and he had it fixed within 3 days. I had a virus that he had to remove. His fee was $50 an hour and he worked for an hour and a half. The whole family was nice and friendly and chatted with me about computers. He was very knowledgeable.

I have used him 3 times, and he has been excellent. What I really like is you don't have to wait 2 weeks for help. He is knowledgeable, reasonable, and does not talk down to you.

Our home PC was disabled in mid-July by a virus. After checking Angie's List, we contacted Brian, due to the positive reports that were posted for him. Brian was punctual for our scheduled appointment, and had our computer back in working condition within 2 hours. He was very professional in his work, and patiently answered our questions during this time. He also fixed a couple of small problems with our laptop during his visit. We were very impressed with his work, and would not hesitate to hire him again for any future computer issues that we may encounter.

Our computer became disabled by one of those "virus detected" ads. This one was extremely unkind and left us completely unable to use the computer in any way. He arrived, quickly assessed how to fix the problem and got us up and running quickly. We didn't have to dismantle the computer--everything was done in house. We also posed several program/software questions to him, which he was more than able to handle. What a pleasure to work with this young man.

I was sent a patch by a company whose program I was using. After it automatically installed I was unable to access some programs which I needed. The company did nothing to assist me. I called Brian who attempted to find the problem. Unfortunately he was unable to completely correct it. We thought that it was corrected, but the problem occurred again. Brian suggested a replacement program which I bought, and which he installed and showed me how to use. He also corrected some other small problems which I had. I would immediately call him on any future problems, and would highly recommend his services. He is an extremely pleasant person to work with, and his fees are very reasonable.

I called him back to thank him to let me know what to do over the phone instead of coming out and charging me. He is an honest person and I really appreciated it. I will keep his name for any other computer problems.

I made a list of what I wanted him to address and I was very comfortable having him in my home. He was young and knowledgeable. He charged on an hourly basis but it was reasonable. He answered all my questions, cleaned my computer and he told me what the problems were.

As soon as Brian saw the problem, he did whatever necessary, in a short time, to get the internet connection, in my computer. Brian was very friendly and also very helpful while clearing my questions.

Everything now works as well, perhaps better, than it did before the failure. Brian asked questions until he understood my PC problem and nailed the fix on the first try. I'm very pleased with the result.

Brian is fantastic! Our home office computer completely died - nothing was happening, and we were not ready to invest in a whole new computer at the time. Brian made an appointment to come TO OUR HOME and look at it for us the day after we called him. He arrived very promptly, was very nice and professional. After running some diagnostics he informed us that our hard drive was beyond repair and we would need a new one. I asked what that would cost and he assured me they were reasonable - ($118). I gave him the go-ahead and he purchased the new hard drive, installed it, then re-installed all of our programs. He was here about 3 1/2 hours, and still his total bill, including the hard drive, was only $206 - far, FAR less expensive than we had imagined! He even gave us some recommendations for backup software that would work for us. We loved Brian; he was nice, professional, he makes house calls, and he really saved us a lot of money. I would call him again in an instant!

Overall it went very well. He did not want to charge us more than $100.00 because, he explained, after that we should consider a new computer. Since we have an older, low end machine. He installed a new anti-virus that is better then what we had - I know this because I was already not happy with our Norton system. In the end he had to take the computer to his office but he fixed it and returned it the same day. Bottom line all our files, pictures, music etc. were recovered; I would definitely go back to him and will recommend to others.
